EPISODE NINE
DAAS KAPITAL REVIVED
EPISODE NINE {the one with the song}
Written by Solo
- A torture chamber.
- Our heroes tied up in
an impossible to escape from situation.
- Psycho Bob laughing
hysterically
- Time ticking away as
Psycho Bob's plans for world domination
creep ever closer.
- Is there no escape for
our young heroes or is this the end?
[Not bloody likely - if
this author ended it the series now this
author feels she may very well
follow our heroes into
the abyss, thrown in by DAAS KAPITAL
REVIVED's regular
readers!!]
As the cage dropped ever
closer to Psycho Bob, Solo looked around
the room wildly searching for an unrealistic escape to
dazzle the minds
of you incredibly smart readers.
{Wait a minute...isn't
it a well known fact that when heroes get
into 'impossible to escape'
situations the bad guy
suddenly leaves in order to oversee some
part of his evil plan leaving
the heroes alone to make
their amazing escape??}
Just as the cage dropped
to within arm reach of Bob's position an
alarm clock went off - piercing the cavern with its ear-shattering
shriek and halted Bob's laughing. The light from the
chandelier above
their heads glinted off Bob's bright RED boots (obscure
reference not
necessarily relevant to the story...YET)
"Woops, time for my favorite
television program 'Pauline about the
country - I wonder what she doesn't like today?'" Bob
stopped the cage's
descent.
He waved to Solo. "I'm
Bob...and I'll be back." he said before
disappearing from the room.
{That's more like it!}
Solo turned around in her
cage and began to search through her
pockets.
Out of the corner of her
eye, she could see Paul, Tim and Richard
all struggling with their bonds. Solo realised that she
was the only one
with her hands free.
"This man," Tim spoke
suddenly, his voice breaking the silence
that had descended upon the cavern. "Is a time traveler...so
we can't
show you his - birth certificate."
"Ahhhh found it." Solo
muttered at last and pulled a small
metallic nail file out of her back jeans pocket.
Paul spoke up in the silence
that had filled the cavern after Solo
had spoken, "If your happy and you know it..." he sang
from his position
tied to the rack, "listen to a Walkman on a train turned
up really loud
and sing along to Anthony Warlow!"
Sticking the tip of the
file into the nearest screw holding the
bottom of the cage to the bars.
She quickly set about
unscrewing them.
"What are you doing?"
Richard asked from the wall.
"Getting us out of here."
Solo said back, working on the second
screw..."Jeez I can't rely on you guys for anything today
can I?" She
groaned as the third screw stuck fast. She skipped it
and went on to the
fourth. "If you guys think I'm going to let that nutter
take over my
universe you guys have got another thing coming."
"I'm bored!" Paul grumbled
a few minutes later when Solo's
administrations appeared to be achieving nothing..."Hurry
up Solo!"
"Shut up Paul...if you're
bored, do something then!" Solo snapped
after moving back and struggling with the third screw.
Paul looked over at Tim
and then turned his head to look at
Richard.
"Sing?" he asked.
"Sing." Tim agreed.
"Sing." Richard agreed.
And then as Solo went
to work on the fifth screw the boys began to
sing.
"Torture chamber out of
hell,
Pleasure dome of heaven,
I can't escape,
Don't stop, don't wait,
Your love is all I need.
Bamboo shoots behind my
nails,
Thumb screws, the whip,
the strap,
and iron's hot,
Create a fever inside
of me,
that can't compare to
the love you share.
Chinese water torture,
Drip drip drip,
The rack, the electric
chair,
Is that a guillotine I
spy and a rope above my head?
But all these I would
rather be subjected to
Than your obsessive loving
stare.
But all these I would
rather be subjected to
Than your obsessive loving
stare.
Your chains they bind us,
Tie us still while
You administer your loving,
We don't know why
We don't scream or cry
But instead call out for
"Ouch S hit!" Solo cried
as she hit the ground. She stared up at
the bottomless cage above her before looking over at
the guys tied up
around the room. "You guys are sick in the head you know
that?" she
asked picking herself up from the hard rock floor.
{Rock?}
Solo rubbed her butt -
oh man, that was going to be sore tomorrow.
"Come on, untie us!" Tim
demanded.
"Hold ya nose Tim. Let
me get my bearings." Solo quickly made her
way over to the small side door Psycho Bob had left through.
She looked out. No one
there quickly she closed the door again.
"Come on, what are you
waiting for?" Paul demanded struggling
against his bonds.
Solo immediately walked
passed him picked up a large key from the
console and walked over to Richard. She reached up to
unlock his chains
- it was quite a stretch but she couldn't quite reach
him so she took a
step closer. Reaching up her arms again she moved a little
closer and
looked up at Richard. He looked really nervous. "Relax
Rich, I don't
bite," she muttered "well not unless you ask," she stood
up on tiptoes
and managed to fit the key into the lock.
"Oh yeah, unlock Richard
first. He'll be able to save you from Bob
if he comes back!" Paul said sarcastically from the rack...Richard
could
see the dirty look Paul was directing in his direction...why,
Richard
hadn't done anything, then he noticed solo was standing
practically on
top of him as she unlocked his wrists and wondered.
Solo ignored Paul's comment
and quickly unlocked Richard's wrists,
as she finished she lost her balance and fell against
him. Richard
giggled nervously...Paul's look got even blacker.
"Sorry mate," Solo replied
and pushed back off Richard. Handing
him the key she said, "You go unlock Tim, I'll get Paul."
She watched as Richard
trotted over to Tim's chair eagerly before
she wandered over to the rack.
"I have a good mind to
leave you here, Paul. You've said some very
mean things to Richard today."
"Ahhh, come on, I say
mean things to everyone...Now untie me."
"Solo looked down at the
helpless male tied prostrate beside
her...
{Should she?? Reader vote
- 3 yes, 35 no...well bad luck
peoples!!}
Solo leaned over and quickly
untied Paul.
"Hey, I can see your nose
hairs from here - got a pair of
tweezers?" he sat up.
Solo pushed Paul back
down onto the rack. "Watchya mouth,
McDermott. I'm here to help remember? Insulting me is
not going to help
that."
"Let's get out of here."
Tim said heading for the door, ignoring
the tension between Paul and Solo.
"No Tim, you need to stay
here and distract Bob, while we get Solo
to the time machine."
Paul snapped tearing his
eyes away Solo's glare to stare at Tim.
"No, no way Paul, I'm
not staying here. He wants to kill me. You
should have seen what he was going to do with me before
you guys showed
up...No, I'm not staying here."
"Whatsa matter Ferguson,
you scared?"
"Oh no Paul, I just don't
want to stay here by myself. Why don't
you stay?"
"You're the only one who
can keep him here, Tim." Richard said and
left the room.
"He's right Tim," said
Paul and left the room.
"Sorry Tim," solo said,
"good luck" she added and quickly followed
Paul and Richard from the room.
The door closed quietly behind
them.
*****
Tim stared around the suddenly
empty cavern. "Um, okay, well, what
did the toilet say to the shower basin?...I hate baked
beans night! Gee,
I can't even cheer myself up!" Tim wandered over
to the main console
sitting in the middle of the room.
Suddenly, the door smashed
open and a figure entered the cavern.
His RED boots gleamed brightly in the light of the chandelier
{no,
obscure hint not to be taken yet!}
"I'm Bob, and you've got
a problem."
Will Richard, Paul and
Solo ever find that elusive time machine?
Will Tim be able to distract
Bob?
What will happen now?
Can the rack be bought
at ABC shops?
