The Origin of Terror
Disclaimer: None of these characters are mine although I think it would be
cool because then these stories would be legal. Any way here's who does
own them: Disney/Pixar (Buzz Lightyear) Hanna-Barbera studios (Powerpuff
Girls), Warner Bros. Inc. (Batman, and Static Shock), Nelvana Inc. (Cybersix)
Twentieth Century Fox (the Simpsons), Toei Animation co. (Digimon), and
Columbia Tri-Star Inc. (Men in Black). There you legal bastards I hope
you're happy.
It started out like a normal day in the world, for the people of the
Earth. Little did they know that they had much to fear. For at this moment in
an abandoned mountain somewhere in Tibet, a meeting of evil was occurring,
one that would decide the fate of the planet. "Order, order, fools," said
the chairman of this group "before I explain what you're all doing here,
let's introduce ourselves." He then gestured to his left "here we have Ken,
otherwise known as the Digimon emperor, Spellbinder, Sideshow Bob, and
Mojo Jojo" "On my right we have Emperor Zurg, Alpha, and Rubberband Man, and
I..." continued the villainous head "I am known as Jose." "Can the
dramatics tiny boy" Ken replied angrily "why did you insist that we all come
here?" "Alright fine" Jose said "look each of you is a brilliant criminal,
though your methods are different, you are all essentially clever. Yet
constantly you fail against good, why? Because you are not united, I propose
this; an alliance, think of it with our brilliance combined together there is
nothing we couldn't control, no one who could stop us, what do ya say?"
The villains pondered it for a while, and then Alpha spoke up. "Sorry Jose"
he said "but I work for no one, I don't need your help." "Fine " said Jose
smiling a sinister grin "leave then, try and take on MIB again and lose I
don't care, look if you join with us you'll have our genius to back you
up, no one, not even MIB could touch you." He turned to the others "and that
applies to all of you, all your enemies would fall to our combined might,
and you all know you've failed to beat them individually." "Alright" said
Ken "I'm in" "me too" "I second it" and soon all the villains agreed to
form this group. "Good" said Jose "now that that's over with we need a name
any suggestions?" "How about Zurg's centurions?" Zurg asked. "Nothing
involving the name of one individual member" Jose replied "any others?"
"Perhaps the Powerpuff destroyers?" mused Mojo. "No, no those names are all
foolish, one of you geniuses must have a good name" then Ken spoke up suddenly
"how about the Genius League?" he asked. "Yes that's good, I like it its
catchy" Jose said "all in favor of the Genius League as our new team name
raise your hands." Nearly all the hands went up "and all opposed?" Zurg's
hand went up but he knew he had lost. "Now that we have a name who's gonna
head up this little group?" Ken asked. "I think I should I'm an emperor
after all" Zurg said. "You, are you joking?" Alpha asked "I headed up MIB
for 25 years I think I can run this operation." "Oh put a sock in it cyborg
brain" Mojo replied "it is obvious that I Mojo, Jojo am the only one smart
enough to head up this group." "No way I'm ten times smarter than all of
you" Ken said "if anyone should be leader it should be me." Soon the
villians were quarreling amongst themselves as to who was best to lead the
group. Jose slammed a gavel on the table, "listen gentlemen, and I use the term
as loosely as possible, I think I have the perfect choice for leader." "Oh
yeah who?" Ken replied angrily, "me of course" smiled the tiny genius.
"You" the members said in unison, "hey hold on shrimp, what makes you
qualified to lead this outfit?" Zurg asked, "we're all pretty take charge kind of
guys." "True" Jose replied "but I'm the one you gathered you here, my
father supplied us with this fortress and all you see in it, leadership is
mine by right. Look you can quarrel amongst yourselves or you can join with
me and embark on spectacular plans to conquer this planet." The villains
talked amongst themselves for a while, and then Ken finally spoke up. "Very
well Jose" he said, "though we usually enjoy running the show, we've
agreed to be team players and see what you have planned." "Rest assured my
villainous teammates, it will be spectacular, for now we must mobilize our
various forces. And Ken" he said gesturing to the young emperor "I'm putting
you in charge of designing vehicles and weapons for this group." "It'll be
a pleasure, " Ken said chuckling to himself "I'll get right on it" and we
walked into a nearby door marked "lab".
About 4 hours later the members of the Genius League stood inside the lab
waiting for the revelation of Ken's new weapons. "Fellow evildoers" Ken
said "welcome you are about to gaze upon the future of weaponry, behold!" he
said pulling away a sheet. Behind it was a large metal, tank-like vehicle
"I call it the Think Tank" Ken said "there's a helmet inside near the
seat, and when you put it on, it channels your brain power as destructive
blasts." "Brilliant" Jose replied "but will it work?" "Of course it will, "
said Ken "and besides, I've built one for each of us." "Great, but now that
we have these very sleek, massive weapons of destruction, what do we do
with them?" Bob asked. "I already have that thought out" Jose replied "how
would you guys feel, about a trip to New York?" "I wouldn't mind one but
why?" Rubberband Man asked, "because now, we can use our new weapons to
level the city to the ground." The villains cheered "let's get moving" Alpha
shouted, "I can't wait to crush MIB" "not so fast" Bob quickly protested,
"how do we get these massive things out of here we're in a freaking
mountain!" "Already taken care of " Jose replied "observe" and he pulled out a
remote, the villains watched as a door on the side of the mountain opened
allowing a large jet to enter. "Like it?" Jose asked "my father built it,
I've christened it the Darkheart." "Man your father is one awesome dude"
Rubberband Man replied, Jose ignored him, "move em out" he said "load on the
Think Tanks, and some troops, today New York city burns to ashes! Ha ha ha
ha ha ha ha ha ha ha."
Two hours later....
The city of New York was peaceful as always (or as peaceful as it could be
with the crime and all). The people were going about their daily lives,
seeing a show at the theater, working, or just generally relaxing. None of
them were aware of the upcoming evil that was about to arrive, and then
suddenly a huge dark shadow covered the sky. "Hey what's going on?" someone
asked "what is that?" asked another "I don't know" "maybe a UFO" "or a new
plane?" As the people watched, dumbfounded, the jet descended and opened
it's cargo bay doors. Instantly a pair of metal machines poured out,
"tanks!" someone, shouted "run for your lives!" As the people ran away screaming
the Think Tanks opened fire on a nearby building, causing the top to
explode, and fall to the ground with a crash! "Delicious" Ken said smirking as
the people ran "look at these fools, running in fear from my brainchild"
he then turned on his communicator, "hey boss can we start the invasion?"
Jose, who was in the other tank, radioed back "yes everyone move out now!"
Suddenly the rest of the think tanks piled out, blasting at the frightened
crowd and nearby buildings "ha ha what glee blasting at these misguided
theatergoers" said Bob firing at a nearby theater. Following the tanks was a
large army comprised of Fixed Ideas; huge zombie-like monsters that worked
for Jose, hornets; Zurg's evil robots, and Mechanorimon; robot battlesuits
piloted by Ken's slaves. As people ran Jose fired, blasting buildings, and
air targets, while the ground troops attacked the people. "That's right
fools flee in terror for your miserable lives" Jose said, "soon the Genius
League will run this town."
"This just in" said reporter Chip Herman into his microphone "the city of
New York is under siege by what is being described as a terrorist group,
who call themselves the genius league. Despite their best efforts, the NYPD
has proven unable to stop the terrorists, who are driving high tech
vehicles. The National Guard has been called in, but it is unknown, if even they
can stand up to this vile menace. More details as the are available" fzzp!
the television turned off. The man who was watching it stroked his beard
"so there's some wackos wreaking havoc in New York eh?" he said before
noticed a man in the door, "your supposed to knock first sergeant" he said.
"Sorry general" he said, "but the door was open." "Never mind did you find
out what we're dealing with?" he asked "yes sir but you won't believe it"
the sergeant replied handing the general some files. "An elastic guy, a
cyborg, a talking monkey, you're right I don't believe this, but we have to
stop these guys." He turned to the sergeant "you said you had a way to beat
them?" "Yes sir" he replied "follow me." The 2 men turned and walked down
a hallway, "these people are supposed to be the enemies of these
terrorists," the sergeant said "when the villains identified themselves, we tracked
them down and brought them here, though is was by no means easy." "I
didn't expect it to be" the general replied and stopped in front of a door.
"This room?" he asked pointing to the door, the sergeant nodded, and the
general stepped in. There sitting at the table were a motley assortment of
people, and what he could only assume were people, some were even young
teens! Despite this the general held his breath "greetings all" he began "I'm
General John Kingsly, and you've all met Sergeant Jim Carter, welcome to
the Pentagon." "Hey man where are the video games?" a yellow skinned boy
asked. The general sighed "why me" he groaned and addressed the assembly
"listen you have all been gathered together from various places to combat a
new threat to mankind." He then took a remote from his pocket and turned on
a viewscreen on the wall, which showed the havoc that was occurring in New
York. "As you can see New York is under siege by an evil group who call
themselves the Genius league. We were able to gather information on the
members of this evil group and then summoned you, their arch-enemies to form a
group to oppose them." "When do we start?" Terry McGinnis asked, "very
soon" said general Kingsly "but first I'd like you to meet the man we've hand
selected to head up this team may I present.... Buzz Lightyear." The space
ranger stepped into the room; "greetings cadets" he said "I look forward
to joining with all of you to help shut down this Genius League
permanently." "Who's this joker?" Bart asked. "Hey respect your elders little boy"
Buzz said "now if you're all ready we'll head to New York, the Pentagon has
agreed to lend us one of their stealth bombers so to the hanger." "Cool
man I get to ride in a bomber" Bart said as the group walked off.
In the Pentagon hanger, Buzz was admiring the bomber, "there she is ladies
and gentlemen, our vehicle, what should we call it?" "How about the
justice jet?" sergeant Carter asked, "impressive" Buzz said "but I think it
should have a name that emphasizes what we stand for therefore I think the
Liberty would be the best name." His friends nodded in agreement all except
Bart who suggested the "massive killer bomber of death." "Now remember
Lightyear" General Kingsly said, "this bomber has stealth capabilities so that
should enable you to sneak up on these villains." "I'll remember that
general, and now we're off" as the bomber zoomed off into the distance he
could hear Buzz say "to infinity and beyond." Then he sighed and looked at
Sgt. Carter "I can't believe the fate of New York lies in the hands of these
wackos, I just hope we didn't make a bad choice."
Back in New York, the Genius League continued to wreak havoc blasting
buildings, while their ground forces assaulted the humans. The National Guard
had finally shown up, and had set up a blockade of tanks to stop the
villains. "Halt scum," said a general "cease your attack and surrender or we
will blast you." "You think we're afraid of you?" Jose asked, "give us your
best shot, you'll see you're hopelessly outgunned." "Very well we'll do
this your way, fire!" the general shouted boom! Boom! The tanks fired volley
after volley at the think tanks. But the evil geniuses responded by firing
their own blasts to cancel out the tanks ammo. "Time to put an end to
these stupid army men" Mojo said and fired at the blockade, boom! 2 of the
tanks exploded. "What the." the general exclaimed, "counterattack now!" but
before the troops could respond a small band of hornets, flew in and
blasted everything in sight. "Duck!" shouted a soldier jumping as a munitions
crate exploded. Though the soldiers took out the evil robots, the hornets
did succeed in destroying most of the National Guard's ammo and several
tanks. "Sir we attacked the villains but they've taken out our ammo and some
of our vehicles, now what do we do?" The general ignored the soldier as he
talked on his communicator, "huh yeah, are you sure these guys can handle
this, I mean I've been pinned down" he paused to listen to voice on the
other end, "okay sir if you say so" he then turned off his communicator and
turned to the soldier. "Order the men to move out soldier" he said "I've
got special orders from the Pentagon, they said they're sending in a
special force to take care of these terrorists." "Yes sir" said the soldier and
he called out, "move out men." The soldiers soon packed up and moved away
much to the Genius league's delight, "I can't believe that they're
leaving" Ken said "we must have scared them off" "was there any doubt?" Jose
replied "we would have smashed them anyway, now let's finish off this
miserable town." And the evil villains cackled as they destroyed more of the city.
Unknown to the vile fiends, however, the Liberty in stealth mode, was
right above them. "Okay team we've reached New York" Buzz said "now the best
way to attack is to take them by surprise so me, Batman, Static, Cybersix,
and Blossom will fly down and attack, Jay, you take out the ground
troops." "Gotcha chief" Jay replied, "hey what about me?" Davis asked, "sorry
Davis but you and Bart are a little too young for this maybe you should stay
in the bomber." "Hey listen man I've taken on Sideshow Bob before, I can
handle him again, don't judge me by age man." Bart protested. "Sorry kid,
but someone has to stay up here and man the controls." Buzz said "now
everyone else let's go to infinity and beyond!" and suddenly the bay doors
opened dispatching the heroes. Needless to say their appearance did not go
unnoticed by the Genius League "yo dudes don't look know but we're under
assault" Rubberband man said. "Huh" Jose asked as he turned on his inside
viewscreen. Sure enough a band of heroes was flying right towards them, and
one was his enemy Cybersix. "Cybersix, and a bunch of other do gooders," he
shouted "attention all allies blast them out of the sky." Several tanks
reversed direction and prepared to fire. "Looks like we've lost the element
of surprise" Buzz said "works fine for me" Static said firing a bolt of
electricity at the volley of tanks. Boom! , However, the bolt had connected
with an incoming projectile and exploded it in orbit. Before the villains
could mobilize for another assault, the heroes landed on the ground,
fzzzzt! Buzz fired his lazer at one of the tanks, and began to superheat it.
"Ahh it's like a oven in here" Mojo complained "time to eject" and pushing a
button he zipped out just as his tank fell apart. Meanwhile Batman hurled
his batarangs at Ken's think tank with minimal success. "Too bad hero
looks like your weapons are ineffective, mine on the other hand" and he smiled
evilly, "are still in working order, let me show you" and he fired a
massive blast. "Yikes" said Batman and he jumped to avoid it, "hold on buddy"
he heard and turned to see Static, "I'll help you." "What can you do you
costumed freak?" Ken asked, "I'll put a shock to your system" Static replied
and concentrated his powers on a nearby lamppost. Ripping it off of the
foundation he hurled it through the air like a javelin at the tank. "Whaa?"
said the confused Ken and before he could react, the post slammed into his
vehicle, "ahh" he said quickly jumping out as his tank was reduced to
scrap. Elsewhere, Blossom had zoomed around and avoiding blasts from both
Alpha and Zurg, used her eye beams to cut open the formers tank. "Blast" Alpha
said "well if you want a little brat destroyed right you have to destroy
her yourself" and he aimed his gun arm to fire. "Not so fast big and ugly"
came a voice from behind, Alpha quickly recognized it "agent Jay what a
surprise" he said. "I didn't know you'd leave MIB to join up with these
people." "I'm on a temporary leave, Alpha so I can shut you down." "We'll see
rookie" Alpha said and began blasting Jay.
Meanwhile back in the Liberty Bart and Davis were getting bored. "Man this
totally stinks" Davis said, "just because we're little kids, our high and
mighty leader doesn't think we can help out. But the Pentagon wouldn't
have picked us if we couldn't right?" "Damn straight" Bart replied "come on
I'm sick of waiting let's go down there and help." "Okay " Davis replied
"but what about the Liberty?" "Relax man I'll just put her on autopilot,
let's see it has to be one of these buttons, ah here we are" Bart said
pushing the proper button. "Command understood switching to autopilot" the
computer responded. "Okay man let's grab some 'chutes and go" Bart said
"right" said Davis and he turned to the blue creature on his left. "Ready to get
Ken?" he asked "let's do it Davis" was Veemon's reply. "Alright!" he
shouted and after Bart threw him a chute the 3 parachuted out of the bomb bay
doors.
Back on the streets of New York, the fight intensified. Realizing that
Static was here, Rubberband Man left his tank to battle his sworn foe, Batman
had to contend with Ken, and Blossom had her hands full with Mojo Jojo and
Sideshow Bob who was attacking in his tank. As for Buzz, he was battling
wave after wave of Zurg's hornets while the evil emperor looked on. "Ha ha
ha it's all over Lightyear" Zurg said "you can't defeat all of these
hornets, you're finished." "I'm not dead yet Zurg" Buzz replied "and until I am
I'll keep fighting you." And so saying, he rolled over blasted 3 more of
the things. However, about a dozen more took their place, Buzz blasted at
every hornet in sight but they began to close in. Suddenly from out of
nowhere a Fixed Idea came flying through the air and smashed into the group of
hornets. Buzz turned to see Cybersix waving at him, "thanks for the assist
ma'am" he said. "Don't mention it" she replied and dodged a punch from
another of the huge creatures, before dropping it to the ground with a kick.
Elsewhere Spellbinder, who had been completely ignored, decided now was
the best time to use his illusionary powers. "Let's see how well these fools
do in a forest" he said, and raised his eye, which emitted beams of light.
On the battlefield, Buzz and Cybersix continued their fights against the
large army of evil, when suddenly the whole city transformed into a forest.
"Huh?" Buzz said "I am wrong or are we in a forest, where'd the city go?"
"I don't know" Cybersix replied. Suddenly a hornet zoomed out at her from
virtually no where. She quickly jumped upward and then came down on the
unsuspecting robot, smashing him to pieces. "Jeez that one came right out at
me" she said "this forest gives the villains too much cover" "tell me
about it" said Buzz "for every one hornet I see about three more attack me
from inside this forest, who could have created this anyway?" "Spellbinder"
Batman said "this is obviously one of his illusions, I've got to stop him.
But I didn't think he had enough power to affect all of these people." "He
didn't" said Ken from behind him, "Jose tinkered with his gizmo's and made
them even more powerful. And speaking of tinkered weapons" he began "I've
made an adjustment to this whip of mine, with a push of a button, it can
generate up to 50 volts of electricity I hope you find that shocking!" and
he lashed out at Batman, who jumped to avoid it. "Try this sparky" Batman
said hurling a batarang at him, but the whip hit it and it
short-circuited. "Too bad batboy" Ken said "now let me show you how it's done" swinging
his whip again he connected with Terry. Batman shouted in pain as his suit
began to short circuit. Ken glared at his helpless adversary "and now for
the final blow," and he raised his whip, but when he tried to bring it
down he found it wouldn't move. "What's wrong?" he enquired "sorry little
boy but I don't think you should play with these dangerous toys" said
someone from behind. Ken looked to see Static holding his whip, "you!" he
exclaimed "that's right Digimon emperor, oh and by the way, I've taken all the
power from this whip, so I wouldn't recommend using it on anyone." And he
punched Ken in his face, while Ken recoiled he helped Batman up, "thanks
Static" Batman said. "No problem we're all friends here, just take out the
guy who's causing these illusions." Suddenly a huge mallet came out of
nowhere and slammed into Static, the mallet of course was one of the hands of
Rubberband Man. "You're through you troublesome lightning bug" he shouted
and stretched in, while Batman jetted off.
In another part of the "city" Davis and Bart had finally landed. "Uh Bart
did we take a wrong turn this looks like a forest, not New York." "I'm
sure we're in the right place man look there's everybody fighting." "Yeah but
where's the city?" Davis replied "that'll have to wait buddy, look" Bart
said pointing forward, where a small group of Mechanorimon and Fixed Ideas
were charging them. "Uh-oh looks like time for action, Veemon are you
ready?" Davis asked, "let's do it" Veemon replied "okay digi-armor energize!"
"Veemon digivolve to Flamedramon." "Try this on for size, fire rocket" he
said as he attacked the oncoming villains. "Go for it Flamedramon" Davis
shouted and sure enough after a few minutes the mighty digimon had whittled
down the villainous band down to a few, "now to help the others" he said
and ran forward with Davis and Bart in tow.
In another part of the city, Spellbinder still stood, casting his illusion
all around. "Those interlopers haven't stumbled yet, but they will" he
said, "my illusion should overwhelm them eventually." "Not on my watch
Spellbinder" said a mysterious voice; Spellbinder recognized it instantly
"Batman" he said turning to face his foe. Batman dropped out of the sky and
kicked the villain square in the face knocking him to the ground. Then he
hurled a batarang at his eye short circuiting it and dissipated the illusion.
"The forest is gone," Buzz shouted, now the villains don't have their
trees to hide behind" and he fired his lazer at 2 more upcoming villains.
Zurg, displeased with the way things were going came out of his tank and
pulled out his ion blaster. "Say farewell Lightyear" he said as he raised and
prepared to fire, "fire rocket" whoosh! the flame connected and disabled
the evil gun. Buzz turned first to see Zurg's blaster disabled, and then to
see Flamedramon and Davis and Bart running toward them. "Heh heh hi sir"
Davis said nervously and waved "Davis I don't know why you're down here,
but I suppose it can be discussed later" Buzz said. "Thank you sir" he
replied not seeing ken come up "Davis you little interloper I should have known
you'd interfere, fortunately I still have my forces to take care of you."
Instantly 2 Mechanorimon flanked him, "destroy that little brat," he
shouted but Flamedramon was the first to attack. "Fire rocket" whoosh! his
attack destroyed both of the evil suits, "curse you, you miserable brat, I
don't care if it isn't electrified, it will still work" and he raised his
whip. "Please don't hurt me," Davis said, "my mom said I should try to avoid
whip welts" Suddenly Mojo came flying through the air, he collided with
Ken and both of them hit the pavement. "Awesome" Davis said "thanks Blossom"
and he waved to his nearby ally. "No problem" she said and zoomed off."
On the opposite end, Jose battled Cybersix in his tank. "At last my vast
intellect will be your undoing, literally!" the boy genius cried firing
another blast, "uhh" Cybersix grunted as she jumped to avoid him. "Give it
up Cybersix you can't win" he said firing again, but he had not bothered to
watch what was going on behind him. There Alpha was battling Jay blasting
him repeatedly from his robot arm. "Face it Jay you're hopelessly
outmatched, why don't you just surrender now" "forget it robot boy" "I asked
nicely" Alpha replied firing another deadly blast, just then he felt himself
hit from behind. He turned to see Blossom flying above him, "leave him alone
you evil cyborg" she said. "You little brat" Alpha said turning his
attention away from Jay to aim at Blossom, fortunately this was the break Jay
needed. Pulling out his Noisy Cricket he took aim and fired, boom! The
recoil catapulted him back into a car but it fired Alpha forward. About a
minute before, Jose was blasting like crazy to get Cybersix, when he finally
hit a construction site, the heavy I-beams fell and one pinned her to the
ground. "Farewell Cybersix" he said as he prepared to fire, when suddenly
Alpha flew in from the side, "no you fool" he said but it was too late Alpha
flew into the tank smashing it and leaving Jose unarmed. Static flew over
"hold on Cybersix" he said and used his powers to lift the I-beam off of
her. "It's over Jose, your team is beaten" Buzz said, Jose looked and sure
enough he was displeased with what he saw. Rubberband man was tied up in
knots, Mojo and Ken lay on the ground, pieces of hornets and mechanorimon
lay everywhere, and Spellbinder was securely bound. "You may have won but
we'll never surrender" Jose said taking a control from his pocket and
pressed a button. Instantly the Darkheart appeared above them, it emitted
several gas bombs. "'Cough cough' gas" Buzz said, while the heroes struggled to
see and breath, a tractor beam came down from the ship and brought up all
of the villains. "Take off now!" Jose shouted and the evil jet zoomed off
"well almighty leader" Zurg said, "I thought you said our combined forces
were unstoppable, yet we got trashed and my ion blaster and hornets are
damaged." "Yeah man Static treated me like a pretzel what's the deal?"
Rubberband Man said. "Look I didn't anticipate that our greatest enemies would
join forces to oppose us" Jose said "still we now know they are out there,
they may have won this battle but I promise next time we will be back and
we will strike back harder and faster than before." "Well anyway trashing
New York was fun" Spellbinder said "and I'm looking forward to meeting
Batman again, oh he'll pay." "Agreed" Jose said, "we'll triumph next time" he
said clenching his fist.
Back in New York the gas cleared "rats the villains have escaped" Buzz
said 'but at least New York is safe from their attacks." "And as for you two"
he said turning to Davis and Bart "Mr. Lightyear please I can explain"
Davis began "you defied one of my direct orders and endangered yourselves in
the process" "yes well sir you see..." Davis continued. "However," Buzz
continued "you've proven yourselves to be excellent fighters I was wrong to
judge you" "thanks sir" Davis said "yeah you rock man" Bart chimed in.
"Now team" Buzz said "let's head back to the Pentagon" a panel flipped up
from his wrist "Liberty dock now." Soon the stealth bomber landed on the
ground, the team piled in and flew off.
Back in Washington D.C. the team stood before the general in their secret
conference room. "Well all of you have done an excellent job" Gen. Carter
said " however, the Genius League escaped and I suspect they'll strike
again, so we'd like all of you to stay around here and form a permanent group
to combat them." "Well I know I'd be honored" Buzz said "but I think
