Dr. Carly Manning accepted Victor Kiriakis' proposal of marriage when it seemed that her love, Bo, was no longer interested in her. She believed Bo wanted his friend Emmy after reading a note forged by Victor. Although she still loved Bo, Carly married Victor. When she learned about Victor's evil doings, they divorced.
