Wow! I didn't realize there were so -many- when I first started this!
Anyway, listings are alphabetical, by author. If the author has multiple
entries, they are sorted by rating, then by title. Keep in mind
that these ratings are subjective; you may or my not agree with me. For
example, Q probably would have given "Caretaker" 4 or 5 claws, while I
only gave it 3 1/2. If a 'fic is not listed, then one of 4 conditions must
be true:
1> I have not read it yet.
2> I have not rated it yet.
3> I did not rate it because it was incomplete last time I checked. The
exception is the Tentative
Rating, which shows what I might give it upon completion. I
usually don’t do this unless a story is excellent
& I know why it’s being delayed.
4> I rated it and it got less than 3 claws.
Note that none of mine are on the list. My ratings would be very biased
(duh!), so I'll let someone else rate 'em.
How to Read This Guide
Listings will be in this format: title, type, my rating, a summary,
and notes (if any).
Type will give the kind of story (genre) as: adventure, background,
comedy, drama, parody/satire, (or a combination of those) followed by its
format (novella, prose, poem, script, etc.) TAOGH episode is a special
type which is always in script format and adheres to special
guidelines that were laid out by Robonerd (a "G" rating being one
of those guidelines).

having nightmares and thinks he keeps seeing someone in the window.

pretty spooky; I'd give it at least a PG rating. If ghosts and Ouija
boards freak you out, you'll want to avoid this one.
Turning Point

short prose
Rating: 3 claws
Summary: What might
have been going through Gadget's head right before the boys came for a
ride to Glacier Bay.

Raphael invites Gadget to appear on her talk show.
Notes: This inspired/touched
off "Excessive Farce"

Tentative Rating: 3 claws
Summary: Gadget investigates

Writers appear in this story (as Ensigns.) :D
Revenge Squad
Type: adventure,
prose
Rating: 4 1/2 claws
Summary: Several
villains form a group in order to get revenge on the Rescue Rangers.
Note: I sense that
Q was under the influence of JLA at the time he wrote this ;)
Crossover
Type: comedy, script
Rating: 4 claws
Summary: Q has a
little fun with the Rescue Rangers and some Starfleet Officers.
Notes: This was Davidson's
first fan-fic & is quite funny. He claims (blames?) "Excessive
Farce" for his inspiration. Therefore, you should not expect
it to be like an episode of CDRR. ;)

Demico, Micheal
Rhyme and Reason
Type: adventure/drama,
novella
Rating: 6 claws
Summary: Chip craves
some excitement on his birthday and ends up with much more than he bargained
for.
Notes: I'd give this
one a PG-13 rating for graphic violence.
Last seen at: DAFT

Soul Searching
Type: adventure/drama,
mini-novella
Rating: 6 claws
Summary: A cat's
ghost leads Gadget on a mysterious quest.
Notes: I'd give this
one a Y-7 rating, mostly due to the "dead cat" scene. Personally,
I don't agree with Foxglove's role in the story, but this is not enough
to justify demoting it by a claw--or even half of one.

Gibby, Michael
A Matter of Life and Death
Type: drama/background
Rating: 5 1/2 claws
Summary: Gadget faces
a difficult choice: go back to the Rescue Rangers and live or die and stay
with her father in Heaven.
Notes: This is THE
most parodied piece of RR fan fiction on the ‘net. First Candy farced it,
then Paltiel parodied
her farce, and there’s no telling who else has been "inspired" by
it.
Those who are uncomfortable with the idea of Gadget dying should not
read this.
Honey, I Shrunk the Cops!
Type: adventure/comedy,
short script
Rating: 4 claws
Summary: Kirby and
Muldoon have a close encounter with Nimnul & his Gigantico Gun (set
on 'shrink').
Then they meet the Rescue Rangers.
Note: So what if
it breaks the 'humans can't understand animal speech' rule? It's still
a way cool story!
I Dream of Fat Cat

prose
Rating: 3 claws
Summary: Fat Cat
uses a dream-altering machine in an attempt to capture the Rangers.
Invasion of the Body Switchers

Type: adventure,
prose
Rating: 3 claws

the city captive with a love potion that causes every woman in the
city, including Gadget, to fall in love with the nearest guy.
Note: Not to be confused
with the RR episode Love is a Many Splintered Thing.

Grissom, Roy Neal
Home Is Where You Hang Upside-Down
Type: adventure/drama,
prose

discovers where she belongs--with Dale and the Rescue Rangers.
Notes: Picks up several
plot threads from "Sizeable Chances" (See Hollingshead's llisting)
Consummation
Type: drama/adventure,
prose
Rating: 4 claws
Summary: Dale and
Foxglove are going to get married, but Fat Cat decides to ruin everything
by bat-napping Foxglove.
Note: Quite a few
cameos in this one ;)
A Syllabus Of Comedies
Type: comedy
Rating: 3 claws
Summary: the Rangers
appear as actors in 3 different parodies.
Notes: The Jungle
Book parody was the best, in my (not so) humble opinion. Roy voluntarily
gave it a PG-13 rating due to nudity & subject matter. I wasn't that
harsh on it; it's not like you'd be able to see anything under fur,
anyway.
All last seen at: The RRDatabase, The Foxglove Feature.
Hevley, Rachel S.
Caretaker
Type: drama,
prose
Rating: 3 1/2 claws
Summary: Chip is
in critical condition after the Rangers' bout with Bubbles. Chip and Gadget
get their feelings for each other out in the open before Chip goes into
surgery.
Notes: This story
picks up where Matt's "Some Mouse to Watch Over Me" (see Plotecher's entry)
leaves off.
I’d give
it a PG rating, due to subject matter.

Friendship
Type: TAOGH

Rating: 3 claws
Summary: The Rescue

tries to figure out what's going on, someone from her past mouse-naps her.
Last seen at: TAOGH
Hacksawed
Type: TAOGH
episode
Rating: 3 claws
Summary: Mechanic's
tools and various parts disappear from store shelves. You won't believe
who the culprit is when the Rangers follow the trail to a racetrack.
Note: Gee, that "culprit"
seems oddly familiar… :D

Liepa, Aivars
Sisters
Type: adventure/background,
novella
Tentative Rating: 5 claws
Status: only parts
1-12 available. 1-6 have been edited.
Summary: Gadget discovers
that she's an heiress--but so does Lawainee! Plus, a new crime gang tries
to take over the city, and a shadowy thief embarks on a mysterious mission.
Notes: Aivars explains
it all--or at least tries to. Aivars is my favorite "bad influence" :D

Fantasy General
Type: adventure,
prose
Rating: 3 claws
Summary: Dale looses
too many games of Civilization and becomes a Fantasy General in his dreams.

like this one; others might not get all the gaming references.

Nowak, John
Icarus
Type: drama/background,
mini-novella
Rating: 5 claws
Summary: The investigation
into Geegaw's death is re-opened & Gadget is determined to prove that
the cause was not pilot error.
Note: Sequel to "Under
the Bridge" (see below)
Under the Bridge
Type: drama/adventure,
mini-novella
Rating: 4 claws
Summary: Gadget's
long lost sister surfaces for revenge.
Note: This was Nowak's

Fly to the Light
Type: adventure,
novella
Rating: 5 claws
Summary: Monty is
attacked by a new crime gang that calls themselves the Furfoot Clan.
The Rangers travel to Japan in hope of shutting the Furfoot Clan down at
it's source and to investigate the possibility that Geegaw Hackwrench may
not be as dead as everyone thinks he is.
Notes: Great story
and interesting characters; a little romance, too (some people may not
like the little 'Chip and Gadget' scenes, though)! This one's nearly
as long as Rhyme and Reason, so don't expect to finish it in one
sitting.

Some Mouse to Watch Over Me
Type: adventure,
script
Rating: 5 claws
Summary: Bubbles
is hired as a bodyguard by a wealthy mouse--but has he really reformed,
or is he just waiting for a good opportunity?
Note: Matt noticed
that the Rescue Rangers didn’t have a movie (i.e. never "hit the big screen"),
so he wrote his own RR movie script. *SIGH* If only Disney HAD turned this
into and animated movie...heck, I’d go see it! ;)

There and Back--Again?!?
Type: adventure,
mini-novella
Rating: 5 claws
Summary: Megavolt
and Darkwing Duck cross over into the Rescue Rangers' world. Can the combined
efforts of DW, Megavolt, Nimnul, and the Ranger stop an alien invasion
from another dimension? Will Megavolt and Nimnul turn on the good guys
at a crucial moment? Read this excellent story to find out!
Notes: Matt was miffed
when he found out that "Twitching Channels" was slated to be a full-blown
CDRR/DW crossover but the idea was nixed. He decided to write his own crossover--so
THERE, Disney!

Summary: Chip and

Trite Fright Night
Type: comedy,
prose
Rating: 3 claws
Summary: Dale tries
to tell a horror story at Bink's request. The operative word is "tries",
as this story gets away from him and begins to bear a greater resemblance
to a comedy.
Note: Chip's
'dumb sherrif' role and 'the basement' had me laughing out loud!

Rating: 4 claws
Summary: An

Notes: The same continuity
for the Dark Savior stories is used here. It also ties into Robonerd's
continuity from Memories.
Mighty Morphin' Rescue Rangers
Type: parody
Rating: 4 claws
Summary: This story
hilariously combines the Rescue Rangers with the Mighty Morphin' Power
Rangers.
Notes: The way he
cast Geegaw as Zordon was way cool! This is the first comedy (that
I know of) that Stephen has posted.
The Dark Savior's Past
Type: drama/background,
prose
Rating: 3 claws
Summary: This story
explores Leviathan's past and shows us why he became a "dark savior".
The Dark Savior Saga
Type: adventure/drama,

Sweeters, Chris "Malachite"
Flashback; Flashforward
Type: drama,
prose
Rating: 3 1/2 claws
Summary: An interesting
answer to the question, "What if....Gadget married Chip?"
Notes: Even though
I don't favor Chip+Gadget, I liked this story. However,
if you don't like even the -possibility- of Gadget marrying
Chip, you might want to steer clear of this one.
On the 14th
Type: drama, prose
Rating: 3 claws
Summary: Gadget explores

on Valentine's Day.
Revelations
Type: drama/background,
prose
Rating: 3 claws
Summary: A look at
Gadget's life as she faces Judgement after one of her test flights ends

Notes: Hmm; I wonder
if he was inspired by "A Matter of Life and Death"? Anyway, this

Still, if you are uncomfortable with the possibility of Gadget dying, you
might not like this one.

Gadget Forget me Not
Type: adventure/drama,
prose
Rating: 5 claws
Summary: Fat
Cat's uneasy alliance with a bulldog gangster could spell doom for the

Notes: Korashe's characterization
is uncannily astounding! Part 2 contains a shoot-out and some
blood, though.

Walker, David
Miami ‘Munks
Type: adventure,
script
Rating: 3 claws
Summary: The Rangers
get caught up in a cheese smuggling investigation in Miami.
Note: David submitted
this to Disney as an RR episode, but it was rejected. Tad Zaslove
told him: "You have the characters down better

Dale any more, and your episode may show some stereotypes we want to avoid."
