WALTONS DIGEST 11-2001:

Hi everyone,

Only a short message this week as things are very busy around here. Tim is going into hospital tomorrow to have his tonsils out, after having been very sick with them over the past few months. He has had several really bad attacks of tonsillitis and the specialist has decided that he will be better off without them. Let's hope he's right. So I finished school for the term on Friday, and have taken family leave for this coming week, to be at home with him. The next fortnight then is officially our school holidays. I'm very tired...it seems to have been a long term and I have taken some time to get over a bad cold myself so I am really looking forward to some time at home just having a bit of a relax. I've still got some Waltons episodes that I'm trying to catch up with so I'll spend some time doing that too.

I'll talk to you next week, after a reasonably quiet week, I hope. Except for perhaps all the teenagers that will troop through to visit Tim. :-)) Oh well.

Goodnight everyone,

Karen.

Hi Karen,

Just wanted to let you know that Judy Norton Taylor is working on some made for TV movies, up here in Vancouver, B. C. just across the water from me. She has one son, and lives comfortably in the suburbs of Vancouver.

Hope all is well with you, and if you get the chance, go see "Castaway" it has "Ike" playing a bit part.

Good Night everybody!

~Nicole

KAREN'S COMMENT: It's so great to hear that our favorite Waltons stars are still working. Was Judy originally from Canada, or did she just move for work, or maybe after she married? Anyone know?

Hi everyone,

Someone here previously asked about the movie "What Love Sees" starring Richard Thomas which is about a blind couple. It is one of RT's best and it will be playing as follows:

What Love Sees

Plot: Love and commitment carry a blind couple through every hardship as they carve a life for themselves and their family.

Fri Apr 13 11:30P LMN- Lifetime Movie Network

Sat Apr 14 11:15A LMN- Lifetime Movie Network

I hope that person is able to catch it on cable!

Til Later,

Alyssa

KAREN'S COMMENT: Hope this info helps some of our other members. The lady who wrote to me originally is not a member, but I have sent this information onto her. This was her reply:

Karen -

Wow - Great news! Can't tell you how much I appreciate the information. We definitely have cable. I'm assuming the dates/times/channels are US? Never know with the amazing Internet. Again, really didn't expect to get a positive response on this. Your website and assistance are greatly appreciated.

Mary Lou

So, Alyssa, as you can see she was really happy to get the information. I appreciate all your help and support on matters of Richard Thomas and thanks again for this one.

Hello Karen and Everyone!

How are you all going? Karen, I was going to watch that ET special, I heard they were going to appear, but thank you for telling me what they said. I understand about the rain!!!! Here in New Jersey it's cold, windy, and rainy!!! Ouch!!

Did anyone see Richard Thomas on Oprah Wednesday? He came on to share some stories of miracles, from his show... pleasant surprise to see him...... There will always be a little John Boy touch in his attitude to me :) He has a beard again, and had on this stone necklace that really made him look like he came off a beach... lol but he looked very good.

I'm afraid to say I haven't had any lucky with my autographs form Ms. Learned or RT. I wrote to both of them c/o the theatres back in November. I didn't really expect anything form RT, but I had heard from other people who got responses from Ms. Learned, so it was a little disappointing.

Anyway, I hope all is well there!!!!! Can't wait to hear from you all!!!

Take very good care now.

Peace, Viv

KAREN'S COMMENT: I wonder if Richard has grown a beard for another movie role or something. Some of those stories from his show are fabulous. I really like it. As for the autographs...why not try sending to the Waltons Mountain Museum.
