WALTONS DIGEST 45-2000:

Hi everyone,

I do hope you're all having a really happy Thanksgiving weekend, and that many of you were able to spend last Thursday with your family and friends. Maybe some of you spent the day either catching up with The Waltons, or taping them for future use. What's lucky is that you still have some great episodes on the Monday mini marathon too.

It's a beautiful weekend here in Melbourne. The weather is gorgeous and we're wandering around, doing Christmas shopping, in our shorts. I'm happy to say that the shopping is well under way now. We're seeing one of my brothers tomorrow night for a Christmas get together, because he and his family will be away over Christmas. With the great weather it will be just perfect for a barbecue.

Well since I don't have much in the way of Waltons news, I'll just get going on your letters.

Goodnight everyone,

Karen.

Hello Karen and All, Things are busy around here and I haven't had much time to sit down. So, I was happy to have a little time to sit and read my digest this morning.

Karen, I am so sad to see that they may be taking off The Waltons off of TNN. I am not surprised, but I am sad. I have found that if you have an email writing campaign, that sometimes works. So, everybody go to the TNN website and email them from there. Tell them you want to keep The Waltons on TNN. Tell your friends and family to do it too. Maybe with so many people writing they will keep it on.

I, also saw the store on ebay. I wanted to bid on it, but it just went to high for me. But, if my job keeps going as it does, I will be able to buy one by the time ski season is over. To clarify that, I have my own business, but I contract myself out to a spa at a nearby ski slope during the ski season which has started here already. I have already done 1 job and have another on Tuesday, and next weekend and every weekend until April, I will be working hard. I am very excited about the extra money coming in.

Anyway, I have been buying things from ebay for months. I now have all the books, and I am trying to get the dolls, but they are going for high prices as well. I will keep my fingers crossed that I get them soon. I did get the paperdolls recently and I am very happy with them.

Thanks for another great digest Karen.

Goodnight All, ----Jennifer

KAREN'S COMMENT: The store did look great didn't it? I've been looking at the paper dolls too, and the slide show thing looks interesting as well. Which paper dolls did you get? I think I've seen 2 or 3 different ones. Anyway happy collecting.

Hello everybody!!!!

It's been a while since I've written the list, but I thought I'd drop a line to ya'll to see if anyone saw the show "To Tell the Truth" recently....I was just flipping through the channels and came on the show totally by accident....They were talking about John-Boy and the real John-Boy...and three men were standing in front of the camera...saying the famous line...."my name is Earl Hamner....." Of course I wasn't fooled at all..I instantly knew the real Earl Hamner as I'm sure all of you would have....Can't fool us real Die-hard Waltons fans....can they? *grin* It was really neat to see Earl on this show.....

Also, would like to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving this week and hope to goodness that TNN doesn't cancel our favorite program here in the United States.......I don't know what life would be without them on television.......any way....Y'all have a great Thanksgiving and share the day with your loved ones and make lots of memories that will always live in your hearts for the rest of your lives......

'night everybody!!!

Larry

KAREN'S COMMENT: How lucky you were to flip to Earl Hamner on that show. :-) No I doubt that any of us would have been fooled. It's great when you come across little things like that I think.

Hello everybody!

I was just watching "Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?" and one of the questions was about The Waltons. The question was about what they said at the end of each episode. I knew the answer and so did the contestant...It was pretty easy though. The answer was C. Goodnight, John-Boy. Not too hard eh?

I missed the episode "The Hot Rod" and now I can't find Erin anywhere. These past two episodes she has not been in so I'm confused. Oh well. I will figure it out!

Goodnight all! Hayley

KAREN'S COMMENT: They're passing questions across the oceans now!!! We had that one on a while ago...but our contestant really wasn't sure of the answer. She would be in her late 20's and it hasn't been shown over here on free to air TV recently. Did Erin miss a few eps? I can't remember. Maybe she was sick or something.
