Rob Estes joined the cast of Melrose as Kyle McBride at the beginning of the 5th season. Kyle was married to Taylor. They ran a restaurant in Boston together when they decided to move to L.A. There met all the tenants. To make a long story short, he found out the real reason why Taylor made them move to L.A. Taylor was after her ex-brother-in-law, Dr. Peter Burns. Kyle's friend, Nick stopped by for a visit and Kyle, with his help, discovered Taylor was having an affair with Peter. Kyle then teamed up with Amanda, Peter's wife at the time. Kyle and Amanda got divorces from Taylor and Peter. When on a trip after their divorces, Kyle and Amanda started a romance. Kyle and Amanda have since opened up their own jazz club together called the "Upstairs". It is above Kyle's restaurant, which Kyle and Taylor own. Taylor faked a pregnancy to make Kyle think she's pregnant. Kyle is jealous of Amanda's business partner, Eric Baines, and knows he's up to no good. Kyle demanded a paternity test once he found out the baby could be Michael's. Taylor fought with Amanda as she (Taylor) was leaving the Upstairs after asking where Kyle is. Amanda lied and said Kyle wasn't there. As a result of their arguing, Taylor leaned back and fell down the stairs. Later at the hospital, it was announced that she lost the baby. Now, Is Eric a huge threat to Kyle & Amanda's relationship?
