Optimech Options
Optimech frames are designed to be very modular, to the extent that an owner can swap in and out options with a minimun of down-time (3d6 minutes per option.) All options for Optimechs will add .5 ton to the Optimech's mass per OP allocated, or between 25 and 100kg per option for Optiarmor. Though this can make the Frame weigh many times it's initial weight; the engine and power train have been designed to allow the Frame to move at full velocity even fully laden with nothing but OPs of armor.
Motive systems for Optimechs (Not interchangable)
Unless otherwise chosen, an Optimech will have a bipedal body, with the listed speeds and movement in it's basic frame description.
Wheeled or tracked body $250,000
Converts both legs into either a tracked wheel frame, or a multi-wheeled
chassis.
Both legs become treads or wheels and lose all OPs. MDC remains unchanged.
+15 mph speed, all terrain capable.
Airframe $250,000
Converts the mech arms and legs into wings and engines, and streamlines
the mech for high-speed flight.
Arms become wings, and retain OPs for weapons only, MDC remains unchanged.
Legs become engine outlets, lose all OPs, but retain MDC.
+50% flight speed, +2 dodge when flying, +1 strike when flying
Movement for Bipedal Optimechs
Basic Flight 3 OP $1,000,000 1.5 ton
Enables the mech to fly, via a modular jet pack, at speeds of up to 150 mph
for up to 6 hours at a time before the regenerative fuel supply is
exhausted. The fuel supply needs 3 hours, oxygen atmosphere, and water to
regenerate for every hour of flight.
Combat Flight 6 OP $1,500,000 3 ton
As above, except the mech can fly at a speed of up to 500 mph for 6 hours,
and can maneuver out of harm's way easier when in flight (+2 Dodge in
flight)
Hyper-Flight 10 OP(5 OP if airframe) $2,000,000 5 ton
As above, except the mech is designed for high-g maneuvers, and high
capacity control when in flight.
+4 dodge when flying
+2 initative when flying
+4 roll when flying
Swimming 1 OP $200,000 .5 ton
normal speed when in or underwater
+1 strike, +2 dodge, +2 parry/roll
Military swimming 2 OP $800,000 1 ton
Twice running speed in or underwater
+2 strike, +3 dodge, +4 parry/roll
Fuel Cells 1 OP $50,000 .5 ton
Doubles the range of any movement option bought fo the 'mech.
Note: This means that a different fuel cell pack must be puirchased for
EVERY different movement mode.
Flotation 1 OP $250,000 .5 ton
Seals the mech frame so it can operate without penalty in water, and
incorporates flotation cells so the mech can be supported on the water's
surface without using it's own power.
x2 running speed in water
Armor for Optimechs
Optimechs are constructed from high-temperature ceramic alloys which are
designed to withstand significantly higher temperatures than other types of
robot armour, and so, if hit with a fire or plasma weapon, Optimechs will
take a damage reduction of 1 point per die of damage.
Additional Main Body 1 OP per 100 MDC $50,000 .5 ton
Additional arm or leg 1 OP per 50 MDC $50,000 .5 ton
Additional Sensor 1 OP per 25 MDC $50,000 .5 ton
Additional hand or foot 1 OP per 20 MDC $50,000 .5 ton
Temperature Resistant 1 OP $100,000 .5 ton
Enables the 'mech to withstand any fire attack as if it did only half the
rolled damage. ALL fire attacks: magical, plasma, etc, will do only 1/2
damage to a 'mech equipped with fire-resistant armour.
Mirror-Surfaced 1 OP $500,000 .5 ton
Coats the 'mech in a metallic, highly reflective surface paint that reduces
all laser damage by 90% (all lasers do 1/10 damage to a mirror surfaced
Optimech.)
Sensors for Optimechs (Can ONLY be placed in head)
All Optimechs come with the standard sensor array of Radar, laser
communications, laser targeting and high level tracking, etc. In addition,
they can be upmoded with the following moddies:
Long Range 1 OP $80,000 .5 ton
Increase sensing range by a factor of 3.
Military combat package 2 OP $450,000 1 ton
Long Range Sensors
+1 Attack
+2 strike
+1 Parry/Dodge
Hyper combat package 5 OP $1,250,000 2.5 ton
Long Range Sensors
+2 Attacks
+3 Strike
+3 Parry
+4 Dodge
+3 to Roll
+1 Initiative
People Compartments for Optimechs
Passenger Compartment 1 OP $100,000 .5 ton
Enables the Robot to carry three passengers in an armored compartment. The
Compartment has 50 MDC of armor.
Cargo Compartment 1 OP $50,000 .5 Ton
Enables the Robot to carry cargo in an armoured area. The compartment has
25 MDC armor.
