When Gerri finds out her husband Doug is cheating on her, she asks for a divorce. Doug refuses to pay the alimentation for their two little sons and he disapears.... Gerri thinks it's best for her and the boys to return to her home in Wisconsin. Because her parents are sick, she rents a small apartment and appeals to assictance, but they refuse to pay family allowance... Gerri turns to Doug's parents, but they don't care...
