Bad Company Courier Mail (Friday September 5 1997) The Khmer Rouge, Joe Stalin, Saddam Hussein and Ray Martin... who's the odd one out? That's just one irreverent question asked on tonight's ABC satirical programme Good News Week. Presenter Paul McDermott, Mikey Robins and Julie McCrossin taped this week's show in Brisbane's Cultural Centre's Concert Hall. More than 1500 people watched the taping of a chaotic 90 minutes, which will be edited to less than half an hour for broadcast of the humourous look at the week's news. The normally fearless set of comedians were a little timid when it came to the big news story of the week, the death of Diana. The only references were a joke about the interminable coverage of the tragedy and its aftermath, and a nice one-liner about setting up a camera buy-back scheme. Unfortunately, the truly anarchic antics of guest Rod Quantock will not make the finished product. Playing tag-guest with audience members was a highlight.
