For all of who don't know of Micky Dolenz...I suggest you come back when I have this page finished!
Though you are invited to look at this wonderful picture I took at the concert I attended, as long as you leave it on my page. If you try to steal it you are a sad, sad individual.
Read about Micky's big secret! Shhhhhh!
"Micky Dolenz, drummer-singer-comic and allaround noisemaker, left a Los Angeles technical trade school to become lead singer in a po-rock group call The Missing Links.
Between appearances with The Links, he acted in television series, including "Peyton Place" and "Mr.Novak." And when singing or acting jobs were scarce, he worked as a mechanic.
Micky was born in Los Angeles on March 8th, 1945 th son of an actor - the late George Dolenz. At ten, he began a three year run as star of a TV series, "Circus Boy," following which he returned to public schools in the San Fernando Valley. After graduating from Grant High he entered Valley College. He transferred in his second semester to L.A. Tech-Trade. Then he made his first serious move towards music.
Like Davy Jones, Mike Nesmith and Peter Tork, Micky responded to an ad in Daily Variety a year ago calling for "insane boys" to audition for roles in a comedy series for today's young people. And like the others, he was tested and signed because he was indeed a pre-ordained "Monkee," whether he knew it or not.
Micky is six-feet tall, lean, athletic and restless. his hair and eyes are brown. He shares a pad with David Jones in West Los Angeles and drives a motorcycle."
