Come on and join the fun! For your reading pleasure, I have gathered some more of the best of the best fan fiction out on the web, just to foster better communications. Communications with whom, you ask? Why, with the authors, obviously! After you read their fantastic stories, drop 'em a line. I promise you, they'll appreciate it. And you'll feel good too.
Honest.
m.c. moose is one of my new discoveies. I read her story, Lower Decks and instantly fell in love with her writing style. I haven't read all of her stories yet, but as soon as I do, you can bet links will be going up!

A Single Act of Compassion --- Remember that anecdote Janeway told Seven in Prey, about saving a Cardassian soldier? m.c. moose expands on that single act of compassion and turned it into an enjoyable story that tells us more about Captain Janeway's life before she was a captain. |
![]() |
Lower Decks --- Ever notice that Janeway is as much of an engineer as she is a scientist and captain? Ever wonder how she got that way? This story gives you the answer, plus how Mark and Janeway got together. (Before the Chakotay years, obviously, so J/Cers feel free to read this story) <g> It follows the events in A Single Act of Compassion. |
![]() |
Up-lifting Coversations --- Janeway gets stuck in a turbolift with B'Elanna Torres. |
D'Alaire is also another one of my favorite authors...although novelist might actually be a better term. The two stories of her's that I've read so far (both fabulous and enthralling!) are very long, but well worth it.
![]() |
Irremission --- An alternate universe story about Tom Paris and B'Elanna Torres, about how different their lives might have been had they met and fallen in love while with the Maquis. A study on the life of Voyager's pilot and the twists and turns in his complicated life. |
![]() |
Avalar --- A follow-up story to Irremission, just as fantastic, and divided into four parts. |
Kris Schuler was one of the Triumvirate of Reviewers that I used to read every week for Voyager. (The other two are Jim Wright and Julia Houston). Unfortunately, these days it seems as if Kris had dropped off the face of the Earth. Or perhaps just preoccupied with her new baby, because there haven't been any recent updates to her page. Nonetheless, her one fan fiction story to date is a fabulous read.
![]() |
Rest and Relaxation ---Deciding the two lieutenants are far too over worked, Kes sends Tom and B'Elanna on a retreat to the holodeck. (Written in '97, pre-Thirty Days) |
Jackee, like most of the other authors on this page, is one I also recentley discovered. (I feel like a talent agent! ;-) She's a J/C writer, and a wonderful one at that. Bits of P/T are sprinkled in her stories.
![]() |
The Painted Desert Serenade --- A series of vignettes that tell all about Kathryn Janeway and Chakotay's lives...together. |
![]() |
DEAD FISH, or four stupid things Talaxians do... ---Kathryn Janeway dictates to her personal log all about Tom and B'Elanna wedding...planned by that bubbly Talaxian Neelix himself. A hysterical story! |
Katie Redshoes, part of the Alt.Startrek.Creative team, is also a very talented writer. More of her stories to be added soon.
![]() |
Heart of Hope --Following the events of Random Thoughts, Neelix mourns for those he has lost, and thinks about how his life has changed since he joined Voyager's crew. |
Wildcat's Spock/Uhura series are the only TOS fan fiction I've ever read, and boy are they excellent! If you don't read 'em you'll be missing a real treat! (Note, there are some NC-17 stories mixed in among these. The overall series is so wonderful that I recommend that if you don't like reading the NC-17 parts, you just scroll right over it. You can do it. I know you can!) The stories in black are part of the Fire, Wind, Water: The Debussy Suite. (The stories should be read chronologically, starting with the first one on the list, and ending with The Other Woman).

JoAnna Walsvik ...I can't believe I almost left this lovely author out of the list! I've been enjoying her work for a while now...I'm in shock that I haven't added her stories before this. You've got to read her stuff, you won't regret it.
![]() |
In Name Only --it's mostly a J/C story, with P/T tossed in on the sides, but it's superb. When Voyager gets back to the Alpha Quadrant, the only way Kathryn can save Chakotay from an awful deep space assignment is to ... marry him. |
![]() |
The Name Game -- a dialouge only story, which has Tom and B'Elanna contemplating names for their soon to be born child. I laughed myself silly over this one. |

Home and Family -- Voyager returns to the Alpha Quadrant and it's time for B'Elanna to experience one of the Paris family's reunions. |
![]() |
Voyager: Bzz Parody -- remember that cheesy game show on a few years ago, called Bzz! This is a dead-on parody involving the crew of Voyager. |
