Episode # 30: The Reunion with Relena
Short Summary: Heero decides to fight with the Treize Faction against Oz, Quatre disagrees and leaves without him and into a nearby town. Quatre ultimately decides to join Heero on the battlefield and steals an Aries to get there. The two are greatly out powered by the Virgos but are rescued when Noin shows up in her blue Oz Transport and drops the Wing Beam Gatlin as she attacks them with her own beam cannon on the ship. Relena is informed by Pagan of Heero's soon arrival and meets him at the air field.
Narration: To facilitate it's reign over the world, Romfeller promoted a new Oz, with it's main power consisting of unmanned units called, mobile dolls. Certain changes within the Founation followed Treize Kushrenada's retaliation, including his being stripped of all power. At the same time, the Foundation was rapidly expanding it's area of rule, thanks to the highly skilled mobile dolls. After the space colonies accepted the Foundation, execution orders were released for the now isolated gundam pilots. For them the future would take a turn for the worst.
[Scene: Forest Area. ]
Solider whispering: First unit proceed, second unit stand by for orders.
Solider 2: No signs of movement, the field has been secured.
[Men in forest are ambushed by a group of Leo's & Aries. ]
Solider 3: We're surrounded... hurry!
[Flashback]
Quatre: This is absurd Heero, it's totally absurd. It's a dispute within their organization. Participating in their fight will only make you another target.
Heero: A target? That's fine with me, execution orders have been issued for us gundam pilots. This way I can let Romefeller know I'm still alive. It's my way of retaliating.
[End Flashback. ]
Solider: After the enemy! We'll show them what stray dogs are made of!
Quatre: [watching the battle from a cliff.] Is this really okay Heero? [It starts to rain, Quatre leaves. ]
[Scene: Sanc. Kingdom. Dorothy's Room?]
Dorothy: [staring out window.] [Shows pictures of Heero tacked up on a board. ] I finally got the picutres. [laughs.] There's something so wild about him. Nice to meet you Heery Yuy and Quatre Rabarba Winner. [shows Quatre on computer screen.] Welcome to earth... welcome to a warriors paradise.
[Scene: Trucks moving along a road as they enter a town. ]
[Scene: Oz soliders destroying a man's market. ]
Solider: What did you say?!
Man: Oh... no. You're mistaken! I haven't said anything...
Solider: Liar! You think that the two Oz factions should just crush each other.
Man: Listen fellas... I just want to live in peace...
Solider: [kicks man to the ground. ] Quiet you! The Treize faction is ready to attack this area. All physically fit men are to join our backup forces. Get your boss out here and round up the people.
[Scene: Mayor's Office. ]
[Oz commander laughs. ]
Commander: Total pacifism?
Mayor: That's right. We refuse to pariticipate in military operations in order to attain peace.
Commander: The Treize faction members here are former Oz members who defended your land in the past. But now they're resisting us as rebels.
Mayor: That dispute concerns the Oz Organization, it has nothing to do with us.
Commander: A very convienient notion of pacifism, once the occupying army becomes a nuisance you suddenly declare yourself pacifists. The duty of the military is to protect the citizens, but now the troops are unwanted. I'm beginning to feel a little sorry for the Treize Faction... in either case the battle will commence. We should continue our discussion after peace is obtained. It's absurd to even speak of pacifism in the flames of war.
[Scene: Street. Quatre picks up the man's hat and hands it to him. ]
Quatre: Are you all right? I'm sorry I couldn't come help you.
Man: Oh... thank you lad. It happens al the time... fighting back against them would only make things a lot worse for me.
[Quatre helps the man over to the side into a chair. ]
Man: Are you a traveler?
Quatre: Yes...
Man: You couldn't have come at a worse possible time. This would be a beautiful place if it weren't for this situation.
[Large military truck rolls by... and Leo's are setting up around the town. ]
Man: They're starting to move in. They're closer this time.
Quatre: I'll go check it out.
[He runs outside. ]
[Scene: Battlefield]
Blue [this is the commander of the treize faction. I'll refer to him as blue because that what he calls himself in battle; and so you do not confuse him with the other 'commander in this transcript. The one controlling the Oz/Romefeller's troops.: The enemy's over this way. Don't forget to dispurse the debris.
[Scene: Town.]
Commander: That's right, do everything to defeat thm.
Mayor: Shouldn't we be advising the citizens to evacuate now?
Commander: Don't underestimate our abilities we'll defeat the Treize rebels before they even come close to the town.
[Scene: Battlefield. ]
[Heero's in cockpit. ]
[Flashback]
Blue: Let's go over our plann... we'll trick the enemies advanced guard by having our main force attack first. Meanwhile our mobile forces will attack from the side and through the town and attack the enemy HQ. The mobile troops will meet up with the main troops and dispell the enemy and take over the town. The leader of the mobile forces will be Red One [heero]. You're in charge. Can you handle it?
Heero: Of course I can, I am a gundam pilot after all.
[End flashback. ]
[Heero's mobile troops are hiding in forest, they suddenly ambush the enemies blue Leo's. ]
[Scene: Town]
Commander: What? New forces?
Solider: Sir. Their abilities outweight the strength of our forces.
Commander: Send troops from our main front. Wipe them out now.
[Scene: Battlefield. More battling. ]
Blue: Good, their fire power has decreased, smash through them.
[Explosion... people in the town scream and begin running to avoid the falling debris. ]
Quatre: Wars are self serving. I feel sorry for the civilans.
[A mobile suits falls and Quatre dives for cover.
Quatre: Heero, please stop getting involved. This kind of battle will end up destroying us.
[Inside Heero's cockpit. ]
Heero: We'll finish them off before their back up troops arrive. Hmmm? [Sees people fleeing. ] Didn't they tell the people to evacuate?
Blue: Red 1, what's your present situation and have you destroyed their HQ yest? Red 1?
Heero: I'm defending this position.
Blue: What... are you saying?
Heero: This is the gundam pilot calling... I will proceed to destroy enemy mobile troops.
Oz solider on the ground: What's this? Gundam?
Solider 2: The Leo up ahead on the right. It's piloted by a gundam pilot.
[Heero's cockpit. ]
Blue: Red 1? Respond... Red 1?!
Heero: Evacuation of civilians confirmed. Red 1 calling Blue...
Blue: Blue here. Why didn't you respond?
Heero: Our mission here has completely failed. Too many casualities, we'll retreat for now.
Blue: What's going on there? Red 1? Red 1?
[commercial.]
[Scene: Boat entering Sanc. Kingdom Harbor. ]
[Scene: Classroom. Relena is sitting in front of the class. ]
Relena: There is no need for armaments in pacifism but unless the whole world starts thinking in these terms, I'm positive the Sanc Kingdom will never be a safe country. Under these circumstances, I'm delighted to have the opportunity to attend classes with you. You who are poised to take on the responsiblities of your respective nations. I really hope that together, we can think of a way to eliminate wars from this world in the near future.
Dorothy: Quite admirable.
Relena: Any comments... Dorothy?
Dorothy: I think it's wonderful. If everyone in this world were Ms. Relena, wars would be denounced as foolish and would disappear from this world forever. But if everyone in this world were Ms. Relena, nobody would realize just how wonderful you are...
Relena: Dorothy! I'm aware that my view may appear a little naieve to some people but I wonder why everyone battles when they realize it is foolish to do so. I don't think that we're too far from the answer.
Dorothy: Ms. Relena... I think I understand why there is never an end to battles...
Student: Hmmm? What do you mean by that?
Dorothy: People love to fight each other and fighting satisfys their instincts you know.
Relena: But many lives are lost as a result of fighting.
Dorothy: Ms. Relena, I'm not interested in results. You can leave things alone and still get results. The beauty lies in taking action. The action of fighting is the most fascinating human aspect. Throughout history people have fought each otehr over and over again, as if battles are the purpose of human existance. That's why I started thinking this wa, it's not true that we shouldn't fight. As humans, I think we must fight.
Relena: I'm afraid I do not share your opinion. I'm positive we're capable of not repeating the tragedies of the past in the times ahead.
Dorothy: Your wise opinions are also necessary in a war. History changes radically.People with similiar opinions are sought after. Ms. Relena, I truly believe the Sanc Kingdom will become the center stage of these times.
[girls chatter. ]
Relena: Watch me Dorothy. As long as I live I will continue to promote total pacifism, even if I end up loosing my life. I'm sure it will bear fruit.
Dorothy: That's good to hear Ms. Relena. You mustn't fear death; because death is merely an end result given to you, at your burden.
[School let's out. Relena walks out alone. Dorothy watches from a window above. ]
Dorothy: But don't worry Ms. Relena. Brave knights are about to arrive before you who will be very helpful for your future. *sigh* They will be able to protect you.
[Scene: Town. ] [People are talking, and milling about. ]
Commander: So, one of the enemies is a gundam pilot...
Solider: I suspect he'll cause a great deal of damage to this area.
Commander: The mayor stressed pacifism right up to the very end. We'd have to destroy this nation anyway, prepare for battle!
[Scene: on the street of the town. ]
Man: Oh, so you made it out okay. I was worried about you.
Quatre: What's this? [people are packing.]
Man: A war's gonna break out. I'm getting ready to move out for a long spell.
[Mobile dolls arrive. Virgo model. They are stood up, side by side and activiated. ]
Quatre: What the? The new mobile dolls?
Man: Look at 'em. All lined up... those guys just love to fight. But we think that total peace suits us just fine.
Quatre: Huh?
Man: Our country took a courageous position. We decided to follow the Sanc Kingdom.
Quatre: The Sanc Kingdom?
[Scene: Sanc Kingdom.]
[Relena is standing by the water on an outside patio. Pagan approaches.]
Pagan: Ms. Relena, are you all right?
Relena: What do you mean Pagan?
Pagan: I mean that recently there's been a great increase of the nations relying on the total pacifism of the Sanc Kingdom, and all of those nations are relying on the Sanc Kingdom to prove them with leadership. Ther'es a lot of pressure to meet these responsiblities. Even you could get very exhausted by all this pressue Ms. Relena.
Relena: Thanks for caring Pagan. But this is what I am living for now. I have to go my best or being leader of the Sanc Kingdom would be in vain.
Pagan: But there's also a certain classmate of yours that has me worried... you can't let down your guard with her around.
Relena: You mean Dorothy? Pagan please, you musn't speak badly about her.
Pagan: I wonder what sort of education she had at Romefeller.
Relena: Dorothy is a very intelligent friend. I'm sure she's thinking about these war times even more seriously than I am. I'm sure some day she'll come to understand our views.
Pagan: Ms. Noin instructed me to keep this a secret from you but...
Relena: Keep what a secret?
Pagan: I'll tell you since I believe you'll be better to have as many allies as possible now...
Relena: Well, what is it? Pagan?
Pagan: We've been able to locate the gundam pilot, Heero Yuy.
Relena: Heero Yuy!?
Pagan: Ms. Noin's on her way to meet with him as we speak.
Relena: He's here... so Heero has returned to earth.
Pagan: He seems to be very exhausted as well. Ms. Noin says she's planning to bring him here to the Sanc. kingdom.
[Scene: Battlefield. ]
Heero: The new models... It'll be tough with this Leo.
[Virgos approach firing... one by one the Leo's begin to fall.
[Scene: Road outside of town, people are lined up in their cars. ]
Solder's voice: The enemies are battling at the defense line. Hasn't HQ been evacuated yet? Hurry!
Quatre: Only the soliders seem to be panicked... everyone else is relaxed.
Man: We're just tired of having anything to do with war.
Quatre: You're tired of it...
Man: Everybody is. It is possible to avoid fighting and live in peace. We've just chosen to do what seemed natural. These days many people in countries are beginning to demand total pacifism. Although their strength is still insignficant, once the number of people who seek out peace outweight the soliders... I'm sure the world is bound to change.
Quatre: I heard that the Romeferller thinks of the Sanc Kingdom as a problem.
Man: Because many countries have started supporting them. Eventually Romefeller will be left without any supporters.
Quatre: (thinking: So the Romefeller Foundation considers the Sanc Kingdom a threat because they're afraid of them. That opens up a chance for total pacifism world wide. )
Man: What's wrong young lad?
Quatre: Thanks for everything Mister. I'm going to go there, to the Sanc. Kingdom!
[Quatre throws guy out of the Aries Mobile Suit and takes off toward the battlefield.
[Scene: Battlefield. ]
[Heero's mobile suit is down but he managed to crawl up again. ]
Heero: I'll fight through this. It is my way of retaliating. I'm fighting longer through this than anyone on earth... longer than Relena of the Sanc Kingdom.
[Virgos proceed toward Heero. ]
[Quatre shows up as Heero is blasted back.
Quatre: Heero!
[Quatre attacks Virgos. ]
Quatre: Heero? Are you all right? Heero we can't die yet. We have to protect the Sanc Kingdom.
Heero: What the... Sanc Kingdom? Who? Us?
Quatre: That's right. That's the job we must do here on earth.
[Blue Oz transport flied over head and drops a weapon.]
Quatre: Hey, that's the beam gatlin from your gundam.
Noin: Your gundam pilots so I'm sure you know how to use that. I'll back you up while you get out of there.
[Oz transport flies low and fires its' red laser beams at the Virgos'. ]
[Scene: Sanc Kingdom... Transport lands, and Relena walks up. The door opens and Quatre steps out, helping an injured Heero. Quatre sees Relena and alerts Heero. ]
Quatre: Heero..
[Heero looks down and sees Relena. ]
[Inside transport. ]
Noin: So you told Relena about it?
Pagan: I'm terribly sorry. I realize this wil increase the odds of her finding out about the gundams.
Noin: We'll handle it if it comes up, don't worry. I'm sure that smile of hers will obliterate the suffering we're about to face.
[Heero limps down more of the stairs... Relena comes forwar and leans against the rail and raises an eyebrow at Heero. ]
