Episode # 35:The Return of Wufei
Episode Summary: Wufei returns to the battlefield with Altron. Catherine meets up with Trowa, who appears to have been wandering aimlessly. Quatre travels into the desert to collect his gundam Sandrock; and Duke Dermail orders the building of the battleship Libra.
Nararator: Zero System. The name given to a cockpit system that quickly calcualates battle data and feeds the large amount of statistics on estimated values directly back to the pilot. But this system also drives a pilot to his limits; to the extent that he won't even fear his own death. Thus helping him gain absolute victory. The year is A.C. 195, as the world constantly changes in the chaotic era, there are two mobile suits that could turn humans into the ultimate weapon. The Wing Zero and the Epyon.
[Scene: Trowa walking in the rain. ]
Catherine: Trowa? Is that you Trowa?
[Trowa looks up.] Hmm?
Catherine: It's me Trowa, Catherine. You haven't forgotten me have you?
Trowa: Cather... rine?
Catherine: Huh....? Oh Trowa...
[Scene: Colony. Taurus mobile suits enter Wufei's Colony.]
[Wufei is fighting another student. ]
Master Long: That's enough! Wufei...
Wufei: Ah, Master Long. You've provided me with a place to train... I'm very grateful.
Master Long: Don't mention it... you've done well to improve as much as you have and I'm positive that Altron will happily welcome you too.
Wufei: The new Nataku is very strong, but I don't think I've acquired the necessary skills required to handle it's strength.
Master Long: One's strength is in the mind; one's mind is a battle with one's self. Unless you can win against yourself Wufei, you will never be able to defeat your enemy...
Wufei: Huh?
Master Long: For over 100 years we have fought the evils of outer space, but even this colony which as protected us for all that time, no longer has the strength to endure. It's been leading us on a path headed for destruction, even still we will follow our destiny and see that we live with integrity. Do you understand Wufei?
Wufei: Integrity?
Master Long: Beleiving in yourself and not lying to yourself and also never betrayraying yourself.
[Student runs up.] Master Long!
Wufei: Huh?
[Student whispers to Master Long. ]
Master Long: What? There's no mercy for those being destroyed...
[The Taurus' begin to attack the colony. ]
Wufei: Master Long I must conquer and defeat my enemy! The enemy I am fighting is pure evil!
Master Long: Then there is no need to waiver. It isn't evil you're defeating, the ones that you defeated are the epitome of evil. Think about your integrity. That is our determination and it is also the determination of ALtron.
Solider over loudspeaker: We know you're here 05!
[Altron's silhouette appears and attacks a Taurus. ]
Soldier 2: It's there! Is it the gundam?
Solider: We've lured it out... proceed to stage 2 of our plan.
[Taurus transforms into flight mode and flies toward Altron, it's destroyed. ]
Solider: Say goodbye 05!
[Altron emerges from his smoky cover. ]
Solider: Ahhhh!
Wufei: Nataku, guide me in the right direction...
[Scene: Space, outside colony. ]
Soldier: We're in position to attack point 2.000.
Soldier 2: 05 is on it's way...
[Wufei destroys more Taurus's. ]
Soldier: This is a warning to the gundam pilot. Surrender at once. We're prepared to attack 02.00 should you continue to retaliate, you'll risk involving the entire colony.
Wufei: ...
[Scene: Inside Colony. ]
[Master Long walks up stairs and into building. ]
Master Long: Goodbye dear Wufei. Witness the last of our clan go... witness it for yourself. Is everything set?
Student: Yes, we're all ready.
Master Long: Our clan will live with pride right until the end. Wufei will succeed us from now on... do it!
Student: Yes... [presses a button, and colony begins to self destruct. ]
[Scene: Space, soldiers watch as portion by portion the colony begins to explode. ]
Solider: What?!
Wufei: Ahh! Master Long!
[Master Long appears on Altron's vid screen]
Master Long: You must not waiver! The moment you do you'll give rise to yet another battle. Please continue fighting.
Wufei: Master Long!
Master Long: Continue fighting Wufei! For your own sense of integrity...
[The colony explodes. ]
Wufei: No! No! It's up to me... I'll decide what integrity is!
[Scene: Peacemillion. ]
Howard: It appears there was a signficant battle in the L5 colony. Wufei must have something to do with it.
Zechs: The pilot of 05. I recall our force consists of this ship and the wing zero... that's not nearly enough to contront the Romefeller Foundation. Couldn't we invite Wufei to join us as an ally?
Howard: That'd be difficult... the gundam pilots have the courage and guts to fight on their own. Who knows if he'll help someone like you whose fighting for a cause...
Zechs: But we're fighting the samee enemy. I just want a chance to talk.
Howard: All right then, alter course to the L5 Colony.
[Scene: Lunar Base. ]
Duke Dermail: Thanks to the success of Operation Nova practically all the world is under the Romefeller Foundatioin's control. We will therefore discontinue Operation Nova, Tubarov. I would personally like you to take control of our next plan.
[Shows Tubarov talking to Duke Dermail on vid screen. ]
Tubarov: Plans Sir?
Duke Dermail: We have a responsiblity to maintain peace. To do this we need overwhelming power.
Tubarov: The mobile dolls should more than suffice.
Duke Dermail: The mobile dolls are only of use when employed in limited battle. Right now we need something that will give us results on a much larger scale. Chief Engineer Tubarov, you'll head the construction of a peacmillion caliber battle ship.
Tubarov: Huh? A space battleship?
[Scene: Desert, Quatre is walking, covered in a cloak and with a walking stick. ]
[Flashback]
Quatre: I'll be on my way.
Noin: Quatre, Sally Po's information is reliable. We can trust it.
Quatre: Yes, I need it to keep a low profile until now so I wouldn't cause the Magunac comrades more trouble, but the situations not the same anymore.
Noin: Romefeller has destroyed most of the Treize Faction so now power has drastically shifted in Romefeller's favor. The Sanc Kingdom is like a candle flickering in the wind...
Quatre: That's why I have to get Sandrock back and protect this nation from evil.
[Quatre files jet, two Oz Aries fly up behind him. ]
Solider: This is a warning, you are entering a war zone. Detour to point URW if you do not follow orders, we'll open fire.
Quatre: Open fire? Without even guiding me out of here?
Solider: We'll commence attack.
[They fire at Quatre, he gets hit and crashes. ]
[End Flashback]
Quatre: Wait for me, my dear Sandrock. I'll be there shortly...
[Continues walking. ]
[Scene: Sanc Kingdom.]
Diplomat 1: It's true that we used to be part of Romefeller Foundation but not the Romefeller Foundation does nothing but squeeze war funds out of us. We can't take this much longer...
Diplomat 2: All the Romefeller Foundation does is satisfy their desire to rule. They've intensified battles they are no different from the former Alliance.
Relena: Trust me, I fully understand what you're all saying and doesn't this prove my point that true peace cannot be obtained through mlitary force?
Diplomat 1: I believe it does.
Diplomat 3: Princess Relena, we need your guidance now. Lead us onto the right path to peace.
Relena: My influence is extremely limited. However, if each one of us truly believes in peace, I believe it's possible to get Romefeller to terminate their military activites.
[Everyone claps. ]
[Scene: Relena in her office. ]
Pagan: The foreign delegates have left safely. They all seemed quite satisfied.
Relena: Pagan, do you think I was out of line promising peace to the other nations considering what a hard time it is maintaining peace here in the Sanc Kingdom?
Pagan: Ms. Relena, the kind of peace promoted by Romefeller is just an empty promise. The Pacifism upheld by the Peacecrafts is peace in it's truest form and it's what the other nations are relying on.
Relena: But the military force of Romefeller is so powerful...
Pagan: Ever since Treize Kushrenada lost his posistion in the organization, Romefeller has had no unifying force. The Chief Represenative is unlikely to fulfill that role. There's nothing to fear from the present Romefeller. Have more confidence in yourself and make your ideal world a reality...
[Scene: Sanc Kingdom Hangar]
Solider: Welcome back from your escort duties Lt. Noin.
Noin: I'm no longer a Lt. I'm an Imperial Guard,, just like each of you.
Solider 2: It's hard to break old habits from our days in the Treize Faction, if you know what I mean Ms. Noin.
Solider 3: Well will you at least allow us to call you Captain Noin?
Noin: That's okay if it makes you all feel better, but we're not a military organization bogged down with discipline. Just don't forget that...
Soliders: Ma'am [They Salute. ]
[Noin walks down dark hallway. ]
Voice: Captain Noin...
[She turns and sees Heero. ]
Heero: An increase in this nation's military power will attract Romefeller's attention. Why have you taken them in?
Noin: Hmmm, that issue huh? Follow me and I'll show you why.
[Show Vidscreen. ]
Noin: The main forces of the Romefeller Foundation are currently gathering around the Sanc Kingdom. After the Luxemburg plan to destroy the Treize Faction, they're remaning military force from that battle has been standing by to invade the Sanc Kingdom; which suggests from the very beginning Romefeller had no intention of overlooking us. At this rate we'll end up suffering the same fate of the previous Sanc Kingdom. It may not be a significant force yet, but in order to confront Romefeller we need to take in members of the former Treize Faction and the former Alliance. Does all of this answer your question I wonder?
Heero: Aren't you a bit laid back? This military power could start attacking us any day now...
Noin: But having a gundam on our side is like a symbol of hope for us.
Heero: Don't count on that too much. Unlike Quatre I don't see much sense in protecting this country.
Noin: But the right honorable Treize's gundam you brought here has lead many soliders to us. It's a symbol of opposition toward Romefeller.
[Scene: Epyon. ]
Heero: [Thinking: Treize... what's the big idea giving me this thing? ]
[Scene: Wufei is battling in space. ]
Wufei: I hate fighting mobile dolls! Doesn't anyone want to fight me directly?
Solider 1: The Taurus mobile dolls are destroyed.
Solider 2: That leaves no choice, let's retreat at once!
Wufei: People that generate using machines instead of using their own lives. This may be the perfect time to for us to defeat Oz.
[Shadow flies over ALtron.
Wufei: Huh?
[Zechs appears on vid screen of Altron. ]
Zechs: Gundam 05, this is Zechs Marquis, calling from Peacemillion...
[He files up to land on Peacemillion's rooftop where he sees the Wing zero contaning Zechs. ]
Wufei: That's wing zero!
Zechs: I'd like to discuss an offer...
[Wufei attacks. ]
Zechs: Hang on! I am not your enemy kid!
Wufei: All evil that chooses to fight in outer space is my enemy.
Zechs: I agree kid. That's why you and I must fight together against Oz and the Romefeller Foundation.
Wufei: You're a member of Oz yourself!
Zechs: In the past I was ... but no longer.
Wufei: I don't trust traitors...
Zechs: how can I get you to listen to me?!
Wufei: By defeating me...
Zechs: That's fine. Just the position that any gundam pilot would take.
[Wing draws beam saber and they charge each other. ]
Zechs: The gundam 05 has become considerably stronger.
[Wufei launches dragon fang and misses. ]
Zechs: I must come out on top time time! I must win!
[Zechs sees Peacemillion destroyed when Zero takes over. ]
Zechs: Noooo. [gasps] ... It's unharmed.
[Zechs sees Wufei knock the head of Wing Zero and it explodes. ]
Zechs: What? WHat in the world are these images here? My... no... he's not... the boy is not the enemy I should be fighting.
Wufei: You can't fool me... you are evil!
[Hits the tail end of Peamillion. ]
Howard: Zechs no! Hey Zechs, get a grip! The Zero system is messing with your head.
Wufei: No mistake about it... this man will be an enemy to me.
[Wufei leaves. ]
Howard: This system displays numberous sets of data to do away with the warriors insecurities. Such a system will only lead to tragedy because there's nothing sadder than a soul being toyed with by a machine.
[Shows Zechs in cockpit. ]
[Scene: Circus.]
Ring Master: Get a move on, we'll be leaving tomorrow.
Cathering: Hey! But you saw how happy we made everyone. Why suddenly make this the last show?
Ring Master: They say a gundam showed up not far from here.
Catherine: A gundam showed up?
Trowa: Hey Sis?
Catherine: Huh? Oh, what's the matter Trowa?
Trowa: Um, wher am I supposed to put this?
Catherine: Oh, that... you don't need to worry about it. I'll put it away myself later.
Trowa: But I-
Catherine: You have to listen to what your sister says...
Trowa: Hmmm, if you say so.
[He hands her the uniform and walks away. ]
Ring Master: As long as he's around you never know what kind of trouble we'll find ourselves in. We've got no choice but to move on now.
Catherine: You're right. I pity him having amnesia, but Trowa's better off this way I think.
[Shows Trowa putting his clown suit in trunk. ]
Trowa: Gundam? What's that? I'm sure I've heard of it somewhere before... ahhh... not again.... so cold...
[Catherine watching him from curtain. ]
Catherine: [Thinking: T rowa, I'll never let you get near a battlefield. I'll protect you no matter what. ]
