Episode # 36:The Sanc Kingdom's Collapse

Episode Summary: 

[Scene: Space Colony - Group Meeting. ]

Man 1:  Our enemy isn't Oz... it's the Romfeller Foundation; the ruling class on Earth. 

Man 2:  But would you seriously consider teaming up with the Treize Faction?

Man 1:  Our first priority is to gain control of outer space.  We'll need to take in soldiers of the former Alliance.

Man 3: Are you crazy!?  There's no way we could team up with them!

Man 1:  Unless all of us that consider Romefeller an enemy there's no way we can break their control.

Man 3: Maybe... what do you think Duo?

Duo:  It's true that Romefeller's an enemy to us, the Treize Faction and the former Alliance... but still it's just as important to think about what happens once we defeat 'em.  Get in touch with me again when you figure that out.

Man:   Hey there... Duo!

[Duo continues walking]: Until then I'll continue fighting alone to defeat Romefeller...

[Scene:  Hilde sitting on a park bench.  Duo walks up and sits down. ]

Hilde: Hey!  How did it go?

Duo:  That meeting wasn't going anywhere...

[They watch the kids playing happily in the park. ]

Duo: *sighs*  Yeah, I wonder what true peace really means anyway...

Hilde: Huh?

Duo:  Uh.. nothing, just delete that!  Hey, was that totally out of character or what?

Hilde:  Oooh, hey Duo... let's go somewhere that's really fun.

Duo:  Somewhere fun?

Hilde:  yeah!  Let's go.. Hurry, let's go!

[She drags him away laughing. ]

[Scene:  Sanc Kingdom.  ]

[Relena's Office, Noin & Pagan are present with Relena. ]

Noin:  All the mobile doll troops have moved to the boundaries of the Sanc Kingdom and forces have been gathering in the surrounding military bases.  It's unmistakable, Oz is... no, Romefeller is planning to destroy the Sanc Kingdom.  It's only a matter of time before they attack...

Relena: Very well then... I want to talk to Duke Dermail.

Pagan: Hmmm?

Noin:  No, wait!  Romefeller now regards the Sanc Kingdom as an enemy.   We have no choice left but to fight to save the Kingdom. 

Relena: The Peacecraft rule has always practiced the ideal of pacifism.  We should advocate for disarmament and aim for a peaceful world where no battles are fought.   Therefore we musn't fight. 

Noin:  Sure, but you have to understand that the Sanc Kingdom is about to anililated.

Relena:  But still I'm going to do everything I can to avoid a war.

[Scene:  Heero and Noin with Epyon. ]

Noin:  I can understand Ms. Relena's ideals, however Romefeller's military is trying to invade the country.

Heero:  Relena's too caught up in her ideal world.

Noin: What's that supposed to mean?

Heero:  With things the way they are around the world it'd be impossible to achieve total pacifism.

Noin:  So you're disputing Ms. Relena's ideals?

Heero: I'm not.  Total pacifism is what people are hoping for, and people can't live without hope.

Noin:  Hmph, tell me Heero, do you have any hopes of your own?

Heero: I only want to fight against those who want to conquer.

Noin:  I wonder how Quatre's doing... I hope he's able to come back here as soon as possible...

[Scene: Desert.]

[Quatre's walking and falls, he hears distant battle. ]

Quatre:  That sound means...

[He begins to run until the Magunanc Corps come into view. ]

Rasid:  Don't let up!  Show them what the Magunac Corps is made of!

Maguanac Soldier:  Oh no!  Things look bad!

Rasid:  Take the 3rd unit and head to the right wing.

Maguanac Solider:  Right... what's that?  Quatre?  It's Master Quatre!!

Rasid: He's finally returned...

Quatre:  Hey!

Maguanac Solider:  You came back... we have something for you Master...

Quatre: Yes, I know that.  I came back here to get it.

Captain:  Okay, let's move in and destroy them all at once.

Oz Solider 2:  Captain!  The enemy is starting to fight back Sir... Hey... where's that white mobile suit come from?

[Static. ]

Captain: What happened?

[Virgos are being destroyed... show gundam sandrock. ]

Oz solider:  Gundam 04!

Quatre:  Sandrock.. let's do it!

Rasid:  I'm so glad you're safe and sound Master.

Quatre:  Rasid... all of you.  I'm sorry I've been such a pain and thank you.

Maguanc Member:  What exactly are you saying Master?  We'd like to thank you for saving our lives.

Rasid:  So.. Master Quatre are you in need of the gundam again now?

Quatre:  Yeah... Something's come up that I have to take care of soon.

[Scene: Circus. ]

Hilde: Amazing... See, isn't this fun?

Duo: You said it!

Ring Master:  Next is a performance with a lion, king of the animals and a young clown...

Hilde:  Oh... Watch out! .... I could fall for that clown...

Duo:  Sure... whatever.... Huh? [looks closer at clown. ]  It's him!   Trowa!

[Scene: Backstage. ]

Catherine: Great show Trowa.

Trowa: How did I do?

Catherine: Great.  The crowd sure did love you...

Trowa: That's good..

[Curtain opens and Duo peeks in. ]

Duo:  Hey Trowa!  It is you Trowa!

Catherine: Excuse me-

Duo: So where are the others?  How's Heero?  Isn't he with you?

Trowa: Huh?

Duo: Trowa?

[Catherine shoves him.]

Catherine: Get out!  You must be an old acquaintance from his past, but Trowa's not going to be doing anymore fighting...

Duo: Trowa, what's gotten into you anyway?

Catherine: Get out of here!  Just leave us...

Duo: Trowa...

[Scene: Space. ]

Narrator:  Meanwhile, Colonel Tubarov was executing plans to construct the gigantic space battleship as ordered by the Romefeller Foundation.  Commandeering the resources and manpower was becoming a significant burden on the citizens of the colonies.

Tubarov:  We're progressing at an aggressive pace but given the enormous size of the battleship, it's still going to take some time.

Duke Dermail [on vid screen. ]:  No excuses.  We need this new symbol of our strength complete A.S.A.P.

Tubarov: Symbol Sir?

Duke Dermail:  Oz currently lacks an individual that can take Treize's place.   So it's crucial Oz has a symbol of strength to bring the soliders together and we must also eliminate the existence of any country that disrupts that unity!

Tubarov:  You're talking about the Sanc Kingdom of course.

Duke Dermail:  The Sanc Kingdom most certainly had a role to play in proving Oz's peace policies, but now they're nothing more than a hindrance to us.

Tubarov: So you're saying...

Duke Dermail:  We can no longer afford to have any nations that won't obey the Romfeller Foundation.

[Scene:  Virgos advancing, carriers fly overhead. ]

Solider:  The surrounding mobile doll units has started to advanced from the mountain countries border.

Commander:  Right!  Our main unit will proceed toward the shores.  We must seize the capitol of the Sanc Kingomd, Newport City. 

[Scene: Relena's Office, Noin enters. ]

Noin:  Ms. Relena, Surveillance systems at the border detected an invasion of mobile doll troops.

Relena: Duke Dermail contacted me a little while ago.  He says Oz plans to attack us for our unrestricted acceptance of Oz deserters and armed guerillas.

Pagan:  I didn't expect Romefeller to be this dirty...

Noin: Ms. Relena, the Sanc Kingdom stands as a symbol of peace in tolday's violent world.  Just don't be too hard on those who fight to protect it.

[Noin salutes and leaves. ]

Relena:  Ms. Noin! *sighs*  Pagan, please evacuate all students from the Institution. 

Pagan: Right.

[Heero in Epyon goes to battles. ]

Heero:  No... stop it!  Don't go doing that Epyon!

[Carriers approach. ]

Noin:  All units attack!

Solider: All right... release your Virgo troops.

[They drop into water and begin firing. ]

Noin: All units retreat to the defense line now...

[More troops are released. ]

Noin:  What?  Even more troops?

[Maguanac Corps & Sandrock arrive. ]

Quatre:  I'm sure glad I'm not too late Ms. Noin.

Noin: Quatre!   Good news...

[Scene: Relena's Office.  Relena watches the battle from her large windows.   Dorothy enters behind her. ]

Dorothy:  Even the Sanc Kingdom with it's total pacifism has finally gotten dragged into this storm of firepower.

Relena: Didn't you follow Pagan's instructions Dorothy.  You have to leave at once.

Dorothy: Who me?  My stay at the Sanc Kingdom would be all but meaningless if I couldn't witness the situation.  What do you plan to do Ms. Relena?  Will you keep resisting or will you get military assistance from your allies? 

Relena: That method is not an option in the Sanc Kingdom.

Dorothy:  But what other methods are there Ms. Relena?  If the Sanc Kingdom were to collapse now then the ideal of total pacifism would vanish as if it were a dream.

Relena:  That's not true at all Dorothy.  What all the people are hoping for is true peace.

Dorothy: And those same people are fighting beautifully to protect that peace too.   Isn't it grand?

[Scene: Battlefield. ]

[Heero is fighting with Epyon. ]

Noin:  Heero,  you're straying too far off!  Don't leave the city!

Heero:  If I start going out of control again, no on is going to be able to stop me.

[Scene: Relena's office. ]

Relena: I haven't got the time to listen to your and your war hobbies right now.

Dorothy: That's not fair Ms. Relena!

Relena: Not fair?

Dorothy:  You can assemble people with your sweet talk about peace, but when an emergency arises you don't even do a thing!

Relena:  Now that's not exactly true...

Dorothy: Oh no?  You can't do anything?  That's because you're chasing the impossible dream of total pacifism.

Relena: How can you say that?

Dorothy: My teacher told me something once.  That man is a fighting animal, and whoever wins after continually fighting should rule.  Isn't' that the way to bring about proper order?

Relena:  Order could never bring about peace in such a situation.  That's nothing but domination. 

Dorothy:  But one can merely begin establishing order by thinking this way right?   What can one accomplish with total pacifism when actual battles are being fought as we speak?  What you have is nothing but a dream.

[Scene:  Sandrock battling. ]

Noin:  We're the last line, we can't let them get through.

[Back up troops arrive. ]

Rasid:  Don't let up.. it's far from over!

Quatre: Ms. Noin!

[Newport City comes under attack as the defense line is breached. ]

[Scene: Hospital. ]

Pagan:  Nooo... they've already entered the city. 

[School is attacked. ]

Noin: Ms. Relena!

[School. ]

Dorothy:  There's no place in the world today for powerless total pacifism.   You only fall prey to those fighting animals.  This is the time to stand up and fight Ms. Relena.

Relena:  Just because humans are fighting animals ... that doesn't make this situation right.  I believe that people can find a way to establish peace without finding it necessary to fight.

Dorothy:  You're so beautiful when you start talking about your ideals.  If you ask for their assistance I'm sure the Trieze Faction and other soldiers with grudges against Oz would come to you at the drop of a coin.

Relena: ... Hmmm?

[City is being damaged. ]

Relena stares at burning city.

Relena: If the Sanc Kingdom and my own existence are going to cause the destruction of war then I'll do my best to take a new step toward total pacifism.

Dorothy:  Yes, it's very important that you act now Ms. Relena.

[Epyon is still fighting.

Heero:  The city is being attacked!

[Shows Virgos attacking. ]

[Scene: Dorothy pressing buttons on console. ]

Dorothy:  Here Ms. Relena.  As you requested you are now connected to outer space & all private lines of the Foundation Executives.  But is there anyone within the Foundation now that can be of help to you Ms. Relena?

Relena:  My  name is Relena Peacecraft, Chief Representative of the Sanc Kingdom.

[At hospital students gasps. ]

Pagan: Ms. Relena...

Relena:  Our country is presently under attack following Oz's declaration of war against us...

Tubarov:  How shrewd!  Is she asking for help from other countries?

Relena:  Armed combat counters the Peacecraft philosophy &

[Shows Peacemillion. ]

Relena: ... the beliefs of the Sanc Kingdom and our pacifism. 

[Show Wing Zero. ]

Relena: However if our nation becomes a target for Oz to conduct their battles I shall renounce this countries Sovereignty and dissolve this nation.

Zechs:  How could she?!  I hope I'm not too late!

[Show Treize listening. ]

Relena: Total pacifism should not be the cause of battle under any circumstances.  

[Shows the battle has stopped. ]

Noin: Ms. Relena...

[Duke Dermail is shown listening also. ]

Relena: This is to further my ideal of peace.

Duke Dermail: An incredibly bold move... I wonder if we could use that power as a unifying force for Romefeller...

Relena: Stop the fighting at once.  You no longer have a reason to fight this battle. 

[Disconnects. ]

Dorothy:  Well done... wow.  How much better can you get Ms. Relena?

Relena:  I'm not in the mood for your flattery right now Dorothy.

Dorothy:  I'm serious.  I'm an even bigger fan now Ms. Relena.  Let's go to the Romefeller Foundation.  I'd be more than happy to escort you.

Relena: (thinking: My dear people.. please forgive me.  This is the only path I can take. )

[Battle ends, shuttle lifts off with Dorothy & Relena. ]

Maguanc Corps: Let's go after it!

Quatre: No!  That would spoil the move just taken by Ms. Relena...

Noin: Quatre, will you please come with me?

Quatre: Hmm, where to?

Noin: Outer space.

Quatre: I'd be glad to.

[Aries escort shuttle as they fly off. ]

Dorothy: I personally guarantee your safety Ms. Relena, but I don't know how the Foundation will want to treat you.

Relena: (thinking:  I lost.  How in the world am I going to make my ideal a reality now?)

[Scene: Sanc Kingdom Mountains. ]

Commander:  We'll take in the Virgos and commence the takeover with manned suits.

Solider: There's still a mobile suit retaliating  in the mountains.

Commander: What's that?

[Shows Epyon still fighting. ]

Heero:  Where?  Where is my enemy?
