"Early Morning Surprises"

by: P-120

Dorothy glanced over at Quatre and giggled. She knew she shouldn't, after all, he was embarrassed enough as it was. But he just looked so cute!

"Hey Quatre looking for something?" she asked innocently, watching him look around almost frantically.

He looked over at her, his face turning red as laughed softly.

"Um... no, er is there something you wanted out here Ms. Dorothy?" he asked, trying to appear quite nonchalant.

"Oh no... just thought I'd take an early morning walk, I didn't realize you got up this early. So..." she asked, calming her laugh. "What were you planning to do today?"

She could almost see him squirming, trying to appear normal, and failing. His smiles even seemed to quiver in embarrassment.

"I-I'm not sure... maybe I'll go to the library or something and get a new book... since I've read the last one here at the mansion."

"I think I'm going to have a picnic out in the yard, down by the river, you know the one I'm talking about? With all the birds and trees?"

"Y-yes, I've been there. Um, Dorothy this isn't exactly a good time..." he shifted again under her glittering gaze.

"Oh?" she rose from sitting. "Did you want to be alone? I was going to ask if I could join you, but if you want to be alone..." She watched him squirm some more, searching for an answer.

"Quatre is something wrong? Your face is all red..."

"No, nothings wrong. I suppose you could join me, don't you have to go chance?" he asked, his voice betraying a note of hopefulness.

"Of course not, I had planned on stopping by on the way back," she answered cooly. She reached for the bottom of her t-shirt about to pull it over her head.

"W-wait, Ms. Dorothy would you do me a favor?" he asked, his voice beginning to shake.

"Couldn't it wait?" she asked as she suddenly leaped forward into the water splashing it over the edges onto the patio deck.

"N-no," it can't wait!" he began to back away from her, until he was neck deep in the water and went further, loosing his footing he tumbled backwards under the gleaming water. She dove after him concerned and grabbed a hold of him bringing him up and taking him to the edge of the pool, laughing. She winked at him and pressed something into his hand before hauling her soaking form out of the pool and grabbing a towel.

As she walked away she called out. "Looking good Quatre!"

He blushed harder, she'd known the whole time! Now in his hand was the missing pair of swimming trunks...
