Author: RACHELLE

It was cold. But outside, the air breathed warmly against her skin, and the sun hugged her every movement. Her mind whirled with emotions and thoughts, overloaded it became blank. "Damn you. . ." was all that she could manage out as she dropped the roses onto his grave. They scattered in the breeze but she did nothing but stare. Staring at the name engraved on the headstone she lowered her eyes.

"How could you leave like that. . ." she asked him. Wanting him to answer. silence was all that greeted her. She could almost feel him. . .the soft brush of his fingertips against her cheeks. . .the sneaked glances. Naked nights and white satin. She groveled under the memory of his body against hers. . .calling to her. . . Tears filled her eyes as she kneeled down, her soul weak. . .her body collapsing under the weight of her grief.

"Why did you do it? How could you do it?" she asked once more. No sound. Hugging herself tightly she howled with the sobs of a human dying inside. Her grief overflowing into rivers of pain, and the blood of her heart seeping itself in pools of tears that crashed against her skin. the stars glared at her from their place in the heavens as she turned her face, scared by love, upwards as she could only stare helplessly at them. he fought in the stars, dreamed of the stars, lived in the stars, and died for the stars. or did he?

"You took him from me before I ever had him. . ." she whimpered defeated. defeated. . .she had been defeated long before she ever met him. gathering what was left of her wounded soul she staggered against the brush of the evening air. . .

"Evening has already come?" she realized staring around her. The sky had grown dark and the stars she saw weren't imagined. They were real. They thrived. And he was real. and now he was dead.

"it isn't fair. . ." she thought as she took one long last look at the tombstone. . .Treize kushrenada.
