Rose Petals

Written by: Lady Une Kushrenada

She looked at the glasses in dispair. ::Who am I?:: She thought as memories surfaced if a beautiful woman with her face. Her eyes, nothing but stealy brown orbs that bored through her victims. Her face, twisted in a cold and ruthless smile.
Colnel Une....
She was Colnel Une--the tough-as-nails-OZ-soldier, her trademark braids pinned up and held in place with scarlett ribbon. Her glasses, reflecting light, acting as a mask that hid her true intentions.
Now, as she carefully examined the glasses, her glossy brown hair falling to the middle of her back, and clad in a floor length white nightgown, she looked far from the merciless killer she knew herself to be. She stared at the glasses for awhile longer, as the past resurfaced again and again, to much fo rthe fragile woman to bare.
She collapsed, crying, in a heap on the floor.

The sound of her sobs instantly brought guards to her side.
"Colnel!"
"Is she allright?"
"You there, go get His Excellency Treize on the line."
"Colnel, are you allright?"
"What happened?"
She was only aware of one word. A name that stuck out through all the voices: Treize.
"T-Treize?" She murmured.
"Huh?" Lieutenant Nicoll looked at her, puzzled.
"Treize, where? Where are you?"
"Lieutenant Nicoll, we have Treize Khushrenada on the line, he's on his way.
"Good."
"Treize?" Une fell into unconciousness with that last thought.

Nearly two hours later Lady Une awoke beneath a sheild of warm blankets.
She started to get up when she realized that two, strong arms held her gently, but firmly."Shhhhhh, Lady, you've had a long day."
She looked up into a beautiful face filled with concern. A lock of brown hair fell forward just above beautiful blue eyes.
"Treize....you came."
"Shhhh...."he stroked her hair.
"Why did you come here?"
He looked down at her fondly. "Lady, because I love you."
"You? Oh Treize...." She closed her eyes as she took this wonderful news in and suddenly felt warm, moist lips pressed firmly against hers. Her mouth parted slightly and Treize took the opprotunity to insert his tongue into it.
Startled, her eyes widened and for an instant she wanted to flee. But Treize's hand on her wrist tightened.
"Please Lady, don't go." He whispered, voice husky.
"I-I won't."
He kissed her again, his passion on the edge of losing control. This time, when Une opened her mouth he met her tongue half way.
"Une?"
"Yes?"She talked into his mouth and the sensation drove him to kiss her deeper and push her down on the bed.
She knew what would happen the moment she felt his hands insistantly push on her. And she knew that this was what she wanted.
"Une, I love you, I always have. But I-I need to know if YOU want this."
"Yes. I do. I've loved you for so long, but I can't deal with her."
"Her who?"
"Colnel Une." Again Une broke into sobs.
"Oh...Lady.."

"I-I'm sorry Treize."
"Don't say that Une."
"Please, I-"
"Stop it Une!" He shook her. "You can't keep doing this to yourself. Now shut up woman!"
"What!"
This time, when he kissed her, he refused to be interupted. (Not that she would have interupted him had she had a choice.) Ke kissed her eys, throat and shoulders, slowly and teasingly moving his way down.....

Lady Une awoke, shaking, her body and heart filled with desire as she remembered....
"It was a dream....." she murmured, fresh tears filling her eyes. "IT WAS A DAMN DREAM!!!" She yelled. Her heart felt as though it would break in two at any moment, and her body wasn't quite sure how to deal with this strange feeling of desire and want.
Then, she remembered: Treize was dead. He had been dead for nearly three years now. Nothing would bring him back.
She wept silently. Her dream had never become a reality, her love for him never knowing if it was returned.
She glanced over at her darkened window and saw that the roses she had put there were in desperate need of water. They were dying, the velvety petals curling up around the edges.
::How ironic::she thought::the rose petals are dying, much like my own beautiful rose did."
