Treize most likely began his career as a mecha/mobile suit pilot. Naturally his suit would have been an early model Leo. His rank, when the GW series begins is as Commander in Chief of Oz.

Design: I have no idea...	Treize does, in fact, demonstrate his impressive piloting abilities during the GW Series, an on several occasions. The first of which, is when he confronts Tubarov and his Mobile Doll System. In this episode, Treize pilots a blue land model Leo. You may view it's stats from the left column. Since there are several models of the Leo type, I cannot say which one exactly, he piloted.
	Treize shows off his engineering knowledge and know how when he designs and builds the Epyon. It's never said how he manages to build this, during what period it was actually built, or who the engineers were who put the thing together... While Treize is never actually seen piloting the Epyon one visitor here pointed out to me that he said to Heero, 'when he himself piloted the suit it showed no future for him'. The Gundam which battles Wing Zero in the final battle. 	Mobile Suit Report: Tallgeese II Weight: 8.8 t Armor materials: Titanium Alloy Weaponry: Dobergun (1) Beam Saber (2) Ability Stats: Fighting 100 --- Weapons 110 --- Speed 150 --- Power 130 --- Armored 120 Pilot(s): Treize Kushrenada Design: Treize Kushrenada	The final time Treize pilots, which turns out to be his last battle, he fights Wufei, in his custom built MS called the Tallgeese II. In this battle we find the two excellent soldiers are quite equally matched, and perhaps Treize would have been victorious had he not chosen to make it his last battle; sacrificing himself to the 'New Era'. *Image of Gundam Model Tallgeese II.
	While nothing was mentioned of Treize's past in the GW animated series; it shows in the GW Manga Treize leading an attack on a colony. (Wufei's I believe). Which is where he later meets up with Leia Barton, who was related to the original pilot of the Gundam Heavyarms, but died; she could also be remembered for being the mother of Treize's only known child, Mariemaia Barton Kushrenada.
