Lucky Spencer is the son of Luke and Laura Spencer and the brother of Lesley Lu
Spencer. Until he was 10, Lucky lived on the run with his parents, hiding from Frank Smith.
While living in Canada, Frank Smith again found the Spencers, sending Luke and Laura on the run and leaving Lucky to find his way to his Aunt Ruby's in Port
Charles. Eventually his parents joined him there. The Spencers decided they were tired of
running and decided to live permanently in Port Charles. Lucky quickly became friends
with his cousin, Sly Eckert. He and Sly decided to start a worm business using the worms
as garbage disposals. Lucky also became an older brother when his sister Leslie Lu Spencer was born. When orphan Emily Bowen Quartermaine came to town, she and Lucky became
friends. When Emily became frustrated with the Quartermaines and wanted to search for her Aunt, Lucky got into his emergency I.D. and money bag
and he and Emily went across the country and search of her. At the same time, Lucky's parents had separated and by going on the run, Lucky hoped to bring them back together. They never found Emily's Aunt, but they eventually were
found and came back to Port Charles, reuniting Luke and Laura. Soon after, his sister became sick and needed a bone marrow transplant,
Lucky was tested, but wasn't a match. However, his family soon found someone who was, Lucky discovered that he had a
half-brother, Nikolas Cassadine, who's was the son of Laura. Laura had given birth to Nikolas while
being held captive on the Cassadine island before Lucky was born. Lucky was extremely angry with his Mother for keeping Nikolas a secret, but the two eventually reached a truce. However, Lucky never got along with Nikolas. When Sarah Webber came to town, he was immediately
attracted to her, although she only had eyes for Nikolas. He became friends with her younger sister,
Elizabeth, but didn't notice that Elizabeth was attracted to him. Lizzie asked Lucky to "hang out" at the school Valentine's dance, and Lucky agreed. Lizzie thought this was a date, but Lucky thought they were just friends and later canceled the plans, deciding to go with a recently dumped Sarah. Lizzie was too ashamed to go to the dance and too embarrassed to tell her grandmother she'd been dumped. She left the house and went to a movie, and when walking through the park on her way home, was raped. When
Elizabeth didn't turn up at the school dance, Lucky went to search for her, and found her in the park, beaten
and raped. Lucky took her to his house to have her examined by his Aunt Bobbie, a nurse. He continued to help her heal. He later found out
from Nikolas and his father confirmed it, that his father had raped his mother. This caused him to leave home and secretly live in Lizzie's room. Her grandmother soon found out that he was living there and broke up the arrangement. Lizzie then left with Lucky, the two are currently living homeless in Port Charles.
