Next we have a column on dreams from our Vice President, Mina. Take it
away, Mina!
I'm Mina Nezwalker, VP of the MNPM. My real name is Mina-Clare Moseley.
I'm
from Uxbridge, Ontario Canada. I am 14. I fall between being a three and
a half and fourth generation fan. Mike has always been my favorite.
Well actually, I had a crush on
"the dude from Elephant Parts" as I called him when I was a kid. I
started to watch the Monkees and liked Davy, but Mike always reminded me
of "the dude from Elephant Parts" I stopped watching the Monkees when I
was about seven. I could only remember that Davy Jones
was a Monkee because of his exposure. I started to watch again in May. I
fell instantly in love with Michael, and was surprised to find out he
was
"the dude from Elephant Parts"! I have always been a Nezhead, I just
didn't
know it!!!!!
A Deep Look at Dreams about Mike

I, like many other Nezheads. have had several dreams about him. I
thought
that it might be interesting to take a deeper look into this.
I have had about a dozen dreams about Mike in the last month. Several I
have had more than once. It is interesting to see how these dreams are
formed and examine the meaning to them.
My dreams have including
1) A dream where I dump my boyfriend for Mike, who is 21 and lives at
the
Monkees pad with Peter, Micky and Davy (The Mike from the Television
show)
2) A dream where I am hitchhiking to LA, to get away form cps, who want
me
for drug possession. Mike picks me up and we fall in love.
3) I am a dance teacher and I teach Mike how to dance (a la "Dirty
Dancing")
4) Mike is my boyfriend and we, plus Pete and Davy, get stuck in the
middle
of nowhere with a serial killer
5) Mike is my guardian Angel and helps me after I run away from home
In all of my dreams Mike looked like Mike off of the Monkees television
show (except for number 5, where he looked exactly like Mike from
Elephant
Parts. He even wore the clothes he wore during Cruisin')
Everybody dreams. It is inevitable. But you don't remember them all the
time. I feel my Mike dreams are caused by a deep desire to meet him
(maybe
not really meet HIM, but the Mike off the television show) I know this
will
never happen, so my subconscious makes up fantasy situations.
The several times I have had dreams with Mike older (the guardian angel
dream, and one dream where I fall for Pete) he had been more of a
"father
figure" than a romance figure. In one of my dream a fifty five year old
Mike was my father. This shows my unconscious can separate "TV Mike"
from
"Real Mike" even thought even the "Real Mike" is sugar coated by my
fantasy.
In my dreams 1) Phyliss (and other significant others) never exist 2)
Mike
falls head over heels in love with me no matter what. This is the good
thing about dreams. You can have what you want happen.
Now believing these dreams will come true, which is a delusion I do not
suffer from, can be dangerous. I know that Mike is forty years older and
there is no chance in heck we ever get together. But dreams give a nice
release from reality.
I have found a good way to have Mike dreams:
1) Listen to Mike's music before you go to sleep (don't just put on a
Monkees CD if you want specific Mike dreams. I did this once and had a
dream about Davy and then Peter. Making a mixed tap works well.)
2) And focus on Mike. Especially in the time period you would like to
have
a dream about him in.
Once you have your Mike dream
1) Write it down
