Chapter 3
Lucky was at Robin's side applying pressure to her wound. He was using his shirt
and was making sure that none of her blood got onto him. He was surprised when
Robin asks him to take Stone's ring and give it to Jason. Lucky thinks about it.
Lucky: All right Robin. I will take the ring. But when you get out of the
hospital I will place it back on your finger.
Robin gives a weak smile.
Robin: Trying to make Elizabeth jealous. You are just like your father. (Robin
notices Lucky turn away from her.) You two are fighting?
Lucky: I don't want to talk about it. Lets talk about what happened to you.
Robin: Lucky. I don't know what is happening but you should know that you are
lucky to have a father who loves you. You know that my father is dead. There are
times that I wish that he were with me. You have that. You have two parents who
love you and love each other.
Lucky: I thought that I had that. But it has been a lie.
Robin: No it is not. True love is never a lie. I can see that Luke and Laura do
love each other and love you. Maybe you can't see that right now but look at
them closely and you will see it. Look at me I have a bullet near my heart and
spend my last few moments giving advice.
Lucky: Your not dying Robin.
Robin: You two should hear what happened to me. I was on my way back to the
penthouse when a man grabbed me and dragged me to the bushes.
Elizabeth: A man dressed in black and wearing a ski mask?
Robin: Yes. How do you know?
Elizabeth: Because I was raped in the park by a man in black wearing a ski mask.
My god Lucky it was the same person. I am sorry Robin. It is my fault.
Robin: Elizabeth…(Suddenly Robin starts coughing. Lucky and Liz notices the
blood in her mouth.) The bullet must have pierced my lung. I don't have much
time left. Please Lucky, take the ring.
Lucky reaches for Robin's hand. He picks it up and carefully removes her ring.
He is careful that none of Robin's blood comes into contact with him. He places
the ring in his pocket.
Lucky: I give you my word that I will take care of this ring.
Robin: I know thank you.
In the distance everyone hears sirens. Lucky and Elizabeth notice that Robin
stops speaking. Lucky screams Robin's name as V comes up to them.
