Chapter 26
Mac and Taggert remained in the room with Miller while V went to check on his
alibi. Mac was hoping that he was lying because he wants to catch Robin's
Killer. Ever since Robin's death he has been reliving Robin's murder in his
mind. He sees her getting shot and then dying in his arms asking why didn't he
protect her. And after she dies, he sees Her ghost show up with Robert and
Anna's. They then call him a killer. Mac then sees V come back into the room. He
asks her if she has called the NYPD. She says yes.
Mac: And?
V: The NYPD does have a report of a young woman looking like Robin being raped
at the same time as Robin was killed.
Taggert: Maybe he heard of it and is using it to cover up the murder.
V: There was something else. The girl was stabbed. During the rape she fought
him and he stabbed her in the chest. It was a minor cut. The knife part was
withheld.
Mac: So only the rapist would know that?
V: I am afraid so Mac. They say that Mr. Miller is the rapist they are looking
for. He is also wanted by them for several more rapes.
Mac: All right. Charge him with the rapes. I need to go.
Mac leaves the room. He heads back to his office and looks at a picture of
Robin. He vows to catch her killer. Back in the room V and Garcia look at each
other as Taggert also leaves the room.
V: I feel so sorry for Mac. He really wanted to catch Robin’s killer. And this
was our best hope.
Garcia: Don't worry V we will catch Robin's killer for him. It will take time
but we will catch him. So where do we look now?
V: I am guessing that we look at the mob angle. I find it interesting that
Robin's guard wasn't with her that night.
Garcia: A mob hit? But why use the rape cover. If it was to deliver a message to
Jason then where is it?
V: Maybe the person wants to hurt Jason but doesn't want a war. I will look at
possible suspects.
Garcia: And I will go see Elizabeth Webber. She deserves to know that we caught
her rapist. That’s one good thing.
V: But it is not good enough. I will not rest until I learn who killed Robin
Scorpio.
Garcia agrees with her. He then leaves. He doesn't find her at the Webber house.
He finally finds her with Lucky at the boxcar. He comes up to them.
