Chapter 25: A Night For Punishment

Lizzie was grounded for about a month and she was a little depressed about it.
Audrey said it was for a good cause but violence is not the answer to every
problem. Easy for her to say. Lizzie looked at her nails and three of them
were broken. She asked herself, was Lisa worth the broken nails? She shook her
head but what it was worth was amazement from Lucky.

Lizzie went into this because she didn't like the way Emily was being treated,
she had no idea she and Lucky were even friends. Then, while they were in the
office, Lucky's telling her it was a really cool thing she did for Emily. Emily
showed a lot of gratitude.

Lizzie: So good deeds do pay off.

She got off her bed and turned off the radio. She was working the late shift at
Kelly's tonight and she didn't want to be late.

Henry: I had nothing to do with the fight, I swear it!

Sally looked at Henry on the couch impatiently.

Sally: Oh really, according to the principal, you were arguing with this Lisa
just seconds before and you were involved in giving a kid a bloody nose.

Henry: Well, there were a lot of other people fighting, he snuck up behind me,
what was I supposed to do? Let him beat me to a pulp? How is Lucky, anyway?

Sally: According to his mother, he's doing fine. Now I want you to apologize to
Lucky tomorrow, okay?

Henry: Okay, fine, I will.

Sally: Good. Now you're grounded.

Henry: Grounded? Again? I didn't even start it!

Sally: How did this fight start, anyway?

Henry: Well, Lisa was picking on Emily Quartermaine and Lizzie stepped in to
defend her. One thing led to another and BLAM! I tried to stop Lizzie, but she
was pretty much set on giving little miss thing a bloody nose anyway, which I
think she had coming to her.

Sally: Just don't get involved in anymore fights, okay?

Henry: Okay.

Sally: Do you have to work at Kelly's tonight?

Henry: No, I have this night off. Oh, hey, how did that meeting go.

Sally: It went pretty well, I start next week.

Henry: That's nice. How long are we going to be in Port Charles?

Sally: For a long time. I would like to get to know my brother and nephew.

Henry: Yeah, Sonny seems cool.

Sally: How are things, other than at Kelly's and school?

Henry: They're fine.

Sally: Henry, I can tell something's bothering you.

Henry: Mom, please.

Sally: Okay, I'll go fix dinner.

His mother left the room, leaving Henry to think again. There was nothing
outside his job and school. He realized he had no personal life. He would have
to get one of those to make his stay in PC complete, but later on. He had
bigger fish to fry.

Luke walked into his home to see Lucky's nose still bleeding a little bit.

Luke: What the heck happened?

Lucky: There was a fight at school.

Luke: Well, who did this?

Lucky: Henry Corinthos accidentally did this to me.

Luke: How did Sonny's little cousin manage to do this by accident.

Lucky: He was trying to stop Lizzie from attacking Lisa. A lot of people were
fighting, I have no idea why they started, but when I came around he mistook me
for someone who was going to beat the pulp out of him.

Luke: How's the nose doing.

Lucky: Better now… boy, you couldn't see it in him but he can really pack a
punch.

Luke: Did your mother talk to Sally about it yet?

Lucky: Yeah, mom was pretty mad at first but she's calmed down since then.

Emily entered the Quartermaine household with Alan and Monica to see the rest of
the family waiting inside.

Lila: Emily, dear, are you all right?

Emily: Yes, grandmother, I'm fine.

Lila: I was so worried when I heard what happened.

Monica: Well she appears to be okay. Emily, I just don't understand, how did
this whole thing start?

Edward: Did that Corinthos kid have anything to do with it? The entire family
is full of hoodlums.

Emily: Corinthos? Why would Sonny be at our school?

Alan: Well his mother is going to be joining the staff next week, so if you ever
happen to stop by the hospital, I would like it if you would not mention
anything.

Emily: Um... Hello? I'm confused here.

Ned, who was standing in the background listening in, felt his phone ring (set
on vibrating). He snuck out the back and answered it.

Ned: Hello?

Alexis: Ned it's me.

Ned: So, are things set for tomorrow night,

Alexis: Well my father had business to take care of. I hope you wouldn't mind
if it were just the two of us who went out?

Ned: Mind? No, I wouldn't mind at all.

Alexis: Okay, so should I pick you up around 7:00?

Ned: Pick me up?

Alexis: Well, I'd like where we're going to be a surprise.

Ned: Okay. 7:00 sounds good.

Alexis: Great.

Ned: Good-bye

Alexis: Bye.

Ned hung up the phone and returned into the living room. Edward was ranting
about how he was going to buy the company Lisa's parents worked for and fire
them, Lila told him to put a sock in it and Emily just stood by answering
question after question. The whole while, Ned was thinking about what kinda of
surprise Alexis had in mind.
