Chapter 26: Halloween Night
Lizzie put on the Scream Mask and her costume was complete. She looked over at
Sarah was dressing up as Sleeping Beauty. Behind the mask, Lizzie rolled her
eyes thinking, "If only she would slip into a coma for about a hundred years."
Lizzie looked at the invitation again. She couldn't believe she was going to
the home of one of the richest families in town, the Quartermaines. She knew
Lucky was going to be there, Emily was one of his best friends. That wasn't the
best part though. The best part was the fact that Sarah wasn't going to be
there. She was going to have dinner with Nikolas at some place, she really
didn't care where though as long as it wasn't at the Quartermaines.
Sarah: I'm surprised Gram is letting you go.
Lizzie: Why are you so surprised Sarah? (She thought, "Like I care Sarah.")
Sarah: It's only been a week since that fight at school, you’re grounded.
Lizzie: Well, she decided to go easy on me and let me go tonight, considering I
only fought that witch because she was making fun of Emily.
Sarah: I'm kind of surprised Emily didn't invite me.
Lizzie thought, "Maybe because she's as sick of you as I am."
Lizzie: Well, she probably thought you were going to be busy with Nik anyway.
Well… *sarcastically* as much as I love this little chat, I really must be
going.
Sarah: Have fun.
Lizzie thought, "With you gone, I plan on it."

Lucky let the fake blood drip from his lower lip and the wiped the drop off. He
put a little more gel in his hair and combed it back. He tied on his cape and
then he was finished with his Count Dracula costume. He looked at his clock and
realized he may be a little late for Emily's party. He thought about the fact
that Sarah wasn't going to be there and for some strange reason, it didn't
bother him a bit. Ever since Henry punched him, his feelings for Sarah had
totally changed. It was like Henry's punching him had… knocked some sense into
him.

Jax was at V's apartment discussing the party at the Jenkins' mansion. Only
upper class people were really invited to this event.
V: I can't believe I let your brother talk me into going with him to this party.
Jax: Well, Jerry is pretty persuasive. He's gotten me to do a few things in the
past.
V: So who's your date?
Jax: I'm going alone.
V: Alone? Why? I think you could find someone for this event in no time.
Jax: I'm not really ready yet.
V: Jax, I like you, you're my friend.
Jax: I know.
V: Good… Then believe me when I tell you to snap out of it.
Jax: What are you talking about?
V: Brenda. She's with Sonny, it's time to move on.
Jax: What makes you think I haven't moved on, just because I haven't gotten a
date?
V: It's more than that. You’re always looking at something that reminds you of
her, and a lot of other stuff. Maybe it would help if you did get a date for
tonight.
Jax: Like who, on such short notice?
V: Well…
V thought about this for a moment.
V: I have a friend who's just arrived in town.
Jax: A friend?
V: Yeah, her name is Janice. Janice Peterson.
Jax: Oh, Janice. You aren't playing matchmaker or anything, are you?
V: *trying to hide a guilty expression* No, I just think it might be nice for…
Janice! I mean, she came all this way, why not uh…
V was trying hard to think something up, but she couldn't.
Jax: I appreciate the effort, but I can find my own dates.
V: This isn't for you as much as it is for her.
Jax: V, I don't think…
V: Take her and I'll tell you what you've wanted to know.
Jax: And what is that?
V: I'll tell you my first name.
Jax: *grinning* You mean in order to get your first name, I have to take your
friend out.
V: Yes.
Jax: Okay, MAYBE I will ask her to the party if you tell me what your name
really is.
V: Okay.
Jax: Well out with it.
V: Right… look, it's a little embarrassing so please, don't laugh when you hear
it.
Jax: Okay.
V: It's… my first name is… Venus.
Jax: What?
V: Venus, my name is Venus.
Jax: Venus huh?
The doorbell rang.
V: That's probably Janice right now.
V opened the door to reveal a woman with blond hair, brown eyes, skin with a
good tan who was wearing a slim, black dress. Jax almost dropped his jaw
because he wasn't expecting her to be so pretty.
V: Hey Janice.
Janice: Hey Ve…
Janice looked at Jax and stopped herself from saying Venus immediately. She
knew how much her friend disliked the name and she wasn't about to tease her
with it with company in the room… and such nice looking company at that.
Janice: And who is this handsome gentleman?
V: Janice, this is my friend Jax Jacks. Jax, Denise Peterson.
Jax: A pleasure to meet you.

Miranda put on a pair of earrings to go with her pearls. She wore a long black
dress with black high heal shoes and she was ready to go to this party at
Jenkins’. She didn't really want to go, but since her brother was going to
make an appearance and Quinn was also going, she figured she might as well go
too. She was bored to death of hanging around Wyndemere never going out and
didn't really want to be alone either. Sure there were guards, but she still
would not of felt safe.

In the hotel room below Jax's, she put on a brown wig and put in blue contacts.
She had gotten a face-lift so she didn't have wrinkles and her disguise was
finished. Most of Port Charles would not recognize her and she hoped her son
would not either. Helena laughed a little as she put on some more make-up. If
this wasn't going to scare Natasha, nothing would.
