Chapter 41: The Cassadine Situation
Quinn paced around his living room looking over the papers very confused. He
looked to his daughter, Alexis, and wanted to know what was going on.
Quinn: I don't understand…
Alexis: Miranda is too young to be Natasha.
Quinn threw the papers down on the coffee table.
Quinn: But she is Natasha! Don't you think I'd know, Lexi?
Alexis: I've thought about that but I can't think of any logical explanation.
Exactly, what do you remember about Natasha?
Quinn looked away, not taking the question very seriously. He started to think
back and at first it was all the way it had always been but then things started
to poke through. He started to remember some stuff he didn't remember before.
Then nothing made any sense anymore. There was only one thing he could remember
before everything didn't make sense.

Quinn sat by the pool at the table, thinking about Christen. She was almost due
and he had seen her on rare occasions, all of them about how sorry she was and
how wrong he felt things turned out. He looked into the water and remembered
that day by the brook.
Quinn remembered saying: …I love you, Christen. Nothing will ever change that.
When I say forever, I mean forever.
Quinn drank the rest of his juice. He did not want to live without Christen
being in his life any longer. He needed to make things right between them.
He got up and went into his car. He drove to the cabin and knocked on the door
but there was no answer. He was about to leave when he heard screaming. He tried
to open the door, but it was locked. So he kicked it open and he saw someone
beating Christen up. He grabbed the man and threw him away. They got into a big
fight and the guy was able to get away. He went over to Christen and she was
badly hurt.
Quinn: Christen, are you okay?
Christen tried to sit up.
Christen: I feel so much pain.
Quinn: I'll call an ambulance.
Quinn went to the phone and started dialing when Christen let out a loud scream.
Christen: (crying) Oh my god, my water broke!
Quinn: What?
Christen: I'm having my baby now!
~^~
Quinn walked into Christen's room. She was sleeping and he sat down beside her.
Quinn: It's a girl. She's very beautiful, I think she has your eyes. I tried to
get a hold of Mikkos, but he was out. Christen, I'm sorry for everything I have
done that has hurt you. I should have never been so rude to you.
Quinn started to cry when she couldn't respond.
Quinn: Please wake up soon. Your daughter needs you… I need you.
Christen opened her eyes and looked at him.
Christen: Quinn.
Quinn: Christen… great, you're awake, I'll get a doctor.
Christen: Wait… Quinn. I just wanted to tell you that there is nothing to
forgive. I understand the way you acting. Could you tell me what my child is?
Quinn: It's a girl.
Christen smiled.
Christen: Natasha.
Quinn: What?
Christen: That is the name I want for my daughter.
Quinn: That is a nice name. Christen, I will be here for you and your daughter
whenever you need me. I promise you this and I will do everything I can to keep
it.
Christen: Thank you, Quinn.
Quinn: Oh, Christen. Do you have any idea who did this to you?
Christen: Helena.
Quinn: What?
Quinn's eyes almost popped out of his head.
Christen: I remember him saying that he was doing this for Helena.
Quinn: I don't understand how she could have found out.
Christen: Quinn, I don't want my daughter hurt.
Quinn: I promise to make sure nothing happens to her.
Christen: That is what I am counting on. Could you please take her?
Quinn: What?
Christen: Take her. Tell Helena and Mikkos that she is dead. I don't want
anything to happen to her.
Quinn: All right. I would do anything for you. I will get a doctor now.
Quinn walked out the door. After the doctor went in, he got started on making it
look like Natasha was dead.

It was after that day things started to get messed up until a few years later.
Now that he thought about it, everything up until he divorced Alexis' mother,
Denise, didn't make sense anymore.
Quinn: Everything's jumbled. But how?
A woman entered the living room uninvited.
Woman: I think I could shed some light on the situation.
They both looked at the woman, Denise Davis.
Alexis: Mother?
Denise: Hello, Lexi.

Miranda laid down on her side and wished something could save her. Then the
doors to the cell opened automatically. Miranda hesitated for a moment but then
decided to get up and go out. She might as well play Helena's game. Miranda
went down a long, dark hall of cells until she finally reached a door. Behind
the door, she saw a flight of steps leading to another door, through the cracks
she could tell a light was on. She slowly crept up the steps. When she opened
the door, there was Helena sitting in a black chair, looking at her coldly.
Miranda wondered how long Helena sat there like that
Helena: Sit.
Miranda hesitated but then more bitterly, Helena said: Sit!
Miranda sat on the couch across from Helena.
Miranda: I'm up here… what are you going to do now?
Helena: Keep your mouth shut, Miranda.
Miranda was a little surprised Helena didn't refer to her as either Natasha or
bastard Cassadine. Then she remembered the insane theory that she was no
actually Natasha.
Helena: I am going to give you two options.
Miranda: What would they be?
Helena: Feel my wrath or help me lure Natasha to her death.
Miranda: How can I not be Natasha?
Helena: It is quite complicated. I do not think your little head could take it
all.
Miranda: Who is Natasha then?
Helena: You will find out soon enough. I want you to write a letter to Quinn,
do it word by word like I say.
Miranda: How can you expect me to help you?
Helena: Do it now or else die. You will not have time to "think it over" I do
not have that time.
Miranda sat there, not moving an inch.

Tony was looking at his child through the viewing window. He hoped his little
boy would live. He pressed his hand against the glass when he heard a voice
from behind him and saw Bobbie.
Tony: Hello, Bobbie.
Tony could tell something was bothering her.
Tony: What is it?
Bobbie: Tony, there is something you need to know.
Tony: What do I need to know?
Bobbie: Carly… Carly…
Tony: Oh my God, she's not dead, is she?
Bobbie: No… it's… she's…
Bobbie didn't know how she could say it.
Tony: Just say it.
Bobbie: Tony, Carly is my daughter.
Tony stood there with confusion all over his face.
Tony: What do you mean your "daughter"?
Bobbie: Luke lied when he said my daughter, Caroline was dead. He has known for
over a year that Carly is really Caroline, so has Stefan for that matter.
Tony: Your daughter?
Tony felt a pit in his stomach. He couldn't believe what he had just heard…
that he had gotten his stepdaughter pregnant with his child and had almost
married her.

Henry ran into Kelly's and saw Ruby standing at the counter.
Henry: Ruby, I am so sorry that I am late!
Ruby: You were supposed to be here two hours ago. Henry, you are usually
responsible enough to show up on time, what happened?
Henry: I'm sorry, it's just that…
Henry wondered how he was going to explain this.
Henry: You know Carly Roberts? Of course you do… well she collapsed in the
hospital today.
Ruby: What does that have to do with you?
Henry: Well… it's really hard to explain the situation. Look, I'm sorry for
getting here late.
Henry went into the back and get ready to start working.

Joe entered the Call Room where Karen was getting ready to leave.
Joe: Karen…
Karen: Joe, I don't need this right now.
Karen started walking away when he grabbed her arm.
Joe: I know you're upset about what we did but are you forgetting that Jagger
did the same thing first for a very long time.
Karen: Fran could have been lying, I should not have believed her just to make…
have sex with you.
Joe: Fran may have been telling the truth.
Karen: Just leave me alone. It was one foolish night months ago.
Karen got away from Joe and made a break for the door.

Sally was looking over her patient's chart but she kept going back to the events
earlier that morning. Helena's phone call, seeing Alan again, who luckily
didn't realize who she was. Then she noticed Tony heading right for her.
Sally: Tony, what is it?
Tony: *coldly* Where's your son.
Sally: What do you want to see Henry for?
Tony: You know about Carly, or Caroline I guess I should say, right?
Sally: Yes, but-
Tony: Well your son has known since October that Carly has been lying to me
about her identity. Did you know that?
Sally: Yes, Henry explained it to me this morning.
Tony: Well why the hell didn't he say anything?! Didn't I have the right to
know that the woman I might have married was lying about her entire life to me?
That she was Bobbie's daughter?
Sally: I can't excuse Henry…
Sally then thought about what he said. Bobbie's what?
