Part 14: Lost And Found
Brenda stood there, fighting the tears from coming out of her eyes. This was her
mother, the woman who left her when she was still a little girl. Veronica put a
hand on her cheek, still feeling the sting of the slip, looking a little
surprised.
Veronica: I suppose I deserved that.
Brenda: Damn right! Well, come on Mama, why don't you go ahead and tell me why
you thought it would be all right to abandon me and let all of us think that you
were dead.

Carly found herself in a dark place, feeling very weak. She tried opening her
eyes and everything was fuzzy. She started coughing, when she heard a voice.
Man: Are you all right, Ms. Roberts?
Carly sat up and looked at him.
Carly: *confused* Cassadine?
Carly looked around and found herself sitting on the docks. She coughed a
little, and then fell back onto her back.
Carly: What happened?
Stefan: I was passing by to the launch, when I heard you screaming for your
child in the water [what the heck is that anyway? A river?].
Carly turned her eyes back to the water, terrified.
Carly: Oh my God, my baby... *starts crying*
A man comes running towards them.
Man: I called the hospital Mr. Cassadine… is she all right?
Carly: *still looking at the water* Caitlyn…
Stefan put a hand on Carly's shoulder.
Stefan: Carly, you need to stay calm. Now, what is Jason's number?
She tightly shut her eyes… Jason. He was going to be so angry with her. She
shouldn't have gotten rid of Johnny, she should have told Jason about the phone
call… there were so many things she should have done, but it was too late now
and it was all her fault.

Julie looked at Lark, shocked by what she had just done.
Julie: You BITCH!
Lark just stood there, smiling, glass still in hand.
Lark: Well, it takes one to know one.
Julie gave Lark the evilest look she could and then stormed out, milk still
dripping. When the door was slammed shut, Lark started laughing. She looked at
Frank, who was giving her a look, and she stopped.
Lark: Um… sorry.
Frank: Somehow I doubt that. You really shouldn't have done that, Lark.
Lark: I'm sorry, but I just couldn't stand how she was talking to you.
Frank: I have to get ready to go, but we will definitely be talking when I get
back.
Lark: All right.
Frank left for his room and Lark looked out the window and watched as Julie
pulled out of the driveway in her car and took off. She grinned and felt like
dancing. Finally, Julie was out of her life!
"Been a whole lot easier since the bitch left town
Been a whole lot happier without her face around
Nobody upstairs gonna stomp and shout
Nobody at the back door gonna throw my laundry out
She hold the shotgun while you dote-se-doe
She want one man made of Hercules and Cyrano
Been a whole lot easier since the bitch is gone
Little Miss, Little Miss Can't Be Wrong
Little Miss, Little Miss Little Miss Can't Be Wrong
Ain't no body gonna bow no more when you sound your gong
Little Miss, Little Miss Little Miss Can't Be Wrong
Whatcha go'n do to get into another one of these here
rock 'n' roll songs?
Other people's thoughts they ain't your hand-me-downs
Would it be so bad to simply turn around
You cook so well, all nice and French
You do your brain surgery too, with a monkey wrench
Little Miss, Little Miss Little Miss Can't Be Wrong
Ain't no body gonna bow no more when you sound your gong
Little Miss, Little Miss Little Miss Can't Be Wrong
Whatcha go'n do to get into another one of these here
rock 'n' roll songs?
I hope them cigarettes are gonna make you cough
Hope you hear this song and it pissed you off
I take that back: hope you're doing fine
And if I had a dollar, I might give you ninety-nine
Little Miss, Little Miss Little Miss Can't Be Wrong
Ain't no body gonna bow no more when you sound your gong
Little Miss, Little Miss Little Miss Can't Be Wrong
Whatcha go'n do to get into another one of these here
rock 'n' roll songs?"

Emily entered Xavior's room to see him eating hospital food. Judging by his sour
expression, he was not pleased with the food. She was silent for a moment, but
finally she found the ability to speak, despite the awkwardness of the
situation.
Emily: Hi.
Xavior looked up at her and swallowed his jello. He was rather embarrassed being
seen in such a pitiful state.
Xavior: How do you do?
Emily: I am all right, thanks. What about you?
Xavior: I am doing all right, I am getting out of this vulgar hospital tonight.
Emily: That's nice… um… I came here to tell you your mother is going to be fine.
Xavior felt a great deal of relief. He sighed and smiled.
Xavior: Thank you.
If his grandmother had seen him like this, who knows what she would do. He
thought back to a conversation they have when he first arrived in Port Charles.

Xavior sat at the breakfast table drinking coffee when Helena came out.
Helena: Xavior, how many times must I tell you not to drink coffee.
Xavior: I know Helena…
Helena: Obviously something is troubling you. You might as well get out with
it.
Xavior: I want to see her.
Helena: Who?
Xavior: Her.
Helena: No, you will not be allowed to see her. She may figure it out and all of
my plans for you will be ruined. Darling, do not make me regret telling you the
truth and allowing you to join in this plan.
Xavior: Do not worry, I will be good for you. Just as long as I get what is
coming to me. My father was first in line to receive everything and since I'm
his son I should get it.
Helena: Just have patience… and stay as far away from her as possible. She can
manipulate you… she can toy with you… She will make you lose perspective of what
is most important.

Emily had explained everything the doctor had told them earlier. He sighed again
in relief.
Xavior: Thank you very much for telling me.
Helena was about to walk into her grandson's room, when she heard the voices of
that Emily girl and Xavior.
Xavior: How is the hospital?
Emily: G.H. doesn't look too good. Most of it is rubble now. I heard it might
take up to two years to get everything up and running again.
Xavior kept himself from smiling. Sure, it was really a tragedy, but one of the
people apart of that tragedy was his uncle. He had been taught well to dislike
him. So, knowing that this was bad news for Stefan, as C.E.O., made him feel
pretty well.
Xavior: That's too bad… Are your parents all right? I know they work at the
hospital.
Emily: They were out of the hospital at the time, so they're all right, thank
God.
Xavior: I'm glad, I would hate for anything to happen to you.
Helena's grip tightened on the knob. How could he say something like that to the
one who almost killed him!?
Emily: Uh… thanks. Here *holds up small bag of chips* I know how bad hospital
food can taste, so I brought you this.
Xavior takes it and looks at it, as if it were technology from an alien race.
Xavior: Lays?
Xavior opened it and smelled it. It was a good smell.
Xavior: Junk food… my grandmother would kill me.
Emily: Sorry, but that was the most edible thing I could find out of the vending
machine.
Xavior: No, it is no trouble at all. There is no possible way it could be as bad
as the hospital food… wait, that didn't come out right…
Emily: It's okay.
Xavior took a chip out and looked at it. He just took a small bite swallowed it.
Xavior: Hmm… tastes edible.
Xavior popped the rest of it into his mouth. Helena continued to listen outside
the door. FIRST she pushes him off a dock and he almost drowns, NOW she's
feeding him junk food. What's next? Hot dogs? She'll die before she turns him
into a Spice Girls fan.

Jason was riding in his limo to the hospital to get Carly. Some man who worked
for Stefan Cassadine informed him that she was there. He wondered what she was
doing in the river anyway [let's just assume it's a river, okay?]. Then, he got
another phone call.
Jason: Hello?
Moreno: Hello, Mister Morgan. How is your wife doing?
Jason: What the hell did you do, Moreno?
Moreno: Do not speak to me with such disrespect, all right, Morgan? This was all
just a demonstration, all right? Now, tell your wife that your baby is perfectly
safe, but if you cross me, your baby is going to be fish bait for real, next
time.
Moreno hung up. Jason put his phone away and wondered what the hell happened on
that dock.
