Chapter 3:
*+*The next day *+*
Liz woke up and looked at both her sides to see Marty and Teresa sleeping like
little angels. Liz believed that they were the ones that kept her alive. If
Liz was feeling really horrible, she'd just had to see a smile on both their
faces. That would really brighten her day. They're the reason that she lived
this life. She loved them so much.
Liz crept over Teresa to see the time. As she realized the time, she gently
woke up Marty and Teresa. Teresa was the one who woke up, but Marty was the
sleepy head.
"Marty, honey wake up." She brushed away his hair from his face. How much he
looked like Lucky, surprised Liz so much.
Marty opened his eyes and yawned. He smiled as he saw Liz looking at him. He
sat up and gave her a hug. "Good morning mommy."
"Good morning sleepy head." Liz smiled.
Teresa laughed and pointed to Marty. "Sleepy head! Sleepy head!" she giggled.
Liz laughed and got off the bed, she needed to go to work, as well as take Marty
to Marie at Wyndemere.
"Come on get dressed." Liz ordered.
"Yea! We're going to learn shapes and mixing colors today!" Teresa clapped.
"Sounds like you and your brother are going to have a fun day?" Liz asked.
"Yeah! Mommy don't forget to make my peanut butter sandwich." Marty replied.
"Yeah, yeah, go get dressed." Liz hurried Marty and Teresa to get ready. She
smiled as she saw them running to get dressed.
Liz sighed and went to her mirror. She brushed through her hair and yawned.
'You look miserable.' She said, as she noticed her eyes puffy and red. She
turned away from the mirror and walked over to the kitchen, where she was going
to prepare breakfast.
She opened the refrigerator and took out the eggs. She smiled to herself,
remembering what Marty talked about 'green eggs and ham' for breakfast. "Oh,
what the hey." She went to the cupboard and took out green food coloring. She
wanted to make breakfast fun.

Marie and Nikolas Cassadine smiled as they were preparing breakfast.
"Nikolas, can you please stop staring at me?" Marie smiled.
"Sorry, can't help it, you are so beautiful." he replied.
“Mommy! Daddy!" called a voice from upstairs.
Nikolas looked as Marie was going to head upstairs. He stopped her "I'll take
care of her, you make breakfast."
"Okay." she gave him a peck on the lips, and watched as he headed upstairs.
Soon, he came down with a girl on his shoulders laughing. She had dark short
curly hair and dark brown eyes. She looked so much like Nikolas. "Daddy, I'm
hungry." She said.
"Franchesca, I'm trying my best to make breakfast." Marie smiled. "Can you be
patient?"
"Yes, mommy." Franchesca rolled her eyes.
Suddenly, the phone rang. Nikolas went over and picked it up, since he didn't
have any servants.
"Hello?" he answered.
"Hello Nikolas." Said a voice.
"Uncle? Why are you calling?" Nikolas asked. "Is there something wrong?"
"Nikolas, Marie's father is ill." Stefan said. "You have to come here now…"
"Oh, okay." Nikolas looked to Marie and hung up the phone.
"What is it?" Marie asked.
"Marie, your father is ill, we have to leave now."
"My father is ill? Is he all right?" Marie asked.
"What's wrong with grandfather?" asked Franchesca, as she overheard the
conversation.
"Nothing sweetie." Nikolas smiled. "Go upstairs and pack, we're going on a
vacation."
"Goody!" Franchesca clapped. She skipped up the stairs.
Marie looked to Nikolas and ran to his arms. "I hope he's all right…" she cried
softly.
"Don't worry…" Nikolas smoothed her hair. "He'll be fine."
Suddenly, Marie remembers something. "Oh, no!"
"What?" Nikolas asked.
"Marty and Teresa, we can't take care of them… Lizzie needs our help."
"I know…there's nothing we could do…"
"Is there anyone we know who could take care of her kids?" Marie asked.
"Laura Spencer."
"Your mother??" Marie asked. "No, Liz refuses to let her know that Lucky has a
son."
"Marie, she's the boys grandmother." Nikolas stated.
"I guess, I mean like you said, there's nothing we could do."
Nikolas and Marie headed upstairs so that they could pack. They prayed that Liz
would understand and go to Laura.
