Chapter 4:
Liz finished preparing the 'green eggs' and placed the food onto Marty and
Teresa's plates. As she was getting the orange juice, Marty and Teresa run over
to the table.
"Mommy!" Teresa screamed at the sight of the food. "That's yucky!"
"Green eggs!" Marty smiled. "Thank you mommy."
"Don't forget to drink your orange juice." Liz smiled, as she placed their cups
down. She noticed Teresa wasn't eating.
"Teresa, honey, eat."
"Its yucky mommy." Teresa stuck out her tongue.
"Oh, if it’s so yucky, how come your brother is eating it?" Liz asked.
"Marty will eat anything." Teresa replied. "I don't want it."
"Teresa, please?" Liz begged. "You don't know until you try…"
"But it’s green." Teresa replied.
"Don't you know that I wouldn't give you anything that you wouldn't like?" Liz
asked.
"Yeah…" Teresa smiled. "Okay, mommy I'll try it." She picked up her fork and
stabbed it into the eggs. She placed it into her mouth and smiled. "Its yummy!"
"Told you" Liz laughed. "I have to go get ready, you stay here and watch your
sister." Liz ordered to Marty.
"Okay, mom." Marty said, as he shoved another helping of eggs into his mouth.
Liz headed to get ready. After she was ready, with a pair of jeans and flannel
shirt, hey it wasn't a great job, but it was a job that brought the rent money.
She looked into the mirror and sighed heavily. 'God, Webber what are you now? A
substitute teacher? When you could've been a lawyer.'
"Mommy! Are we going yet?" called Marty.
Liz turned away from the mirror and took her purse. She turned off everything
in the apartment, and headed out the door.
"Is Jared coming tonight?" asked Marty.
"Jared? Oh no." Liz smiled. Jared Williams was her date, Marty kinda got
attached to him, since he never knew his father. That's all Liz really did now,
she would go on dates. She never could find Mr. Right. She always thought it
was Lucky, she knew she was wrong.
"Okay, lets go." Liz held Marty and Teresa's hand and headed out of Kelly's to
her car.

Nikolas, Marie, and Franchesca waited at the docks for Liz's arrival. They
thought it would be easier this way.
"Mom!" Franchesca yanked on Marie's hand. "Mommy!"
"Yes?" Marie smiled.
"Why are we waiting?" she asked. "Where are we going?"
"Franchesca, sweetie, your mommy's very tired…we'll answer all your questions
when we get there." Nikolas explained.
"No! I want to know now!" Franchesca whined. "Now! Now! Now!"
Suddenly, they saw Liz appear, with Marty and Teresa heading down the stairs.
Liz looked over to their direction and smiled.
"Hey!" Liz called.
"Unky! Nikky!" Teresa got out of Liz's grasp and ran to Nikolas.
Nikolas picked up Teresa and smiled. He stroked her blonde long hair. "Hey,
you look like your mother everyday." He smiled. He looked as Liz was
approaching. "Hey Liz, how are you holding up?"
"I'm fine." Liz sighed. "Why are you all here?"
"Lizzie, Nikolas, Franchesca, and I have to go to Greece, my father is very
ill."
"Oh, and you can't take care of the kids?"
"No, I'm sorry."
"No, hey it’s okay." Liz gave a smile. She looked at Marie and gave her a hug.
"I hope he feels better, okay?"
"Yeah…that's what we're praying for." Marie smiled a little as pulled away
holding onto Nikolas' hand.
"Liz, I was wondering if you'd like to take Marty and Teresa to my mother's
house."
"Oh, no…I can't." Liz shook her head. "Don't you know how painful it was to…"
"I know Liz, but she is Marty's grandmother."
"I've waited too long to tell her that Marty is her grandson, what do you think
is going to be her reaction?" Liz took a couple of breaths.
"And Marty doesn't even know who she is, I'm not going to let him know… he
thinks of Audrey as his grandmother and she's dead."
"Liz, you can try."
"Marty isn't going to understand, he's still a little devastated that his father
left him when he was a baby." Liz sighed.
"That wasn't Lucky's fault and you know that Liz." Nikolas stated. "He is in the
mob, and that's his job."
"Because of him, my grandmother and sister are dead!" Liz cried. "Also, what if…
if Lucky comes back?" Liz stammered. "I can't have Marty see him, I can't…"
"He's Marty's father, he has a right to." Marie joined in the conversation.
"Marie's right, Lucky is Marty's father, you can't change that." Nikolas said.
"God, why do you two always have to be right?" Liz felt tears form in her eyes.
"Okay, only Laura…that's it." Liz said. "But Marty isn't going to know just yet
that she's his grandmother."
"Okay, and what about Lucky?" Marie asked.
"I'll see to it that he never sees Marty, and that Marty never sees him." Liz
said sternly. "I'm going to move on, start my life over."
"You will Liz, you will." Nikolas smiled.
"Okay, well I guess I have to be heading to the Spencer's." Liz said.
"Yeah, come on Franchesca, we have to go."
"Bye Marty, bye Teresa!" Franchesca waved, as she walked away from them.
"Mommy, are we going to Unky Nikky's?" Teresa asked.
"No, we're going somewhere new… you'll like it." Liz smiled, as she picked up
Teresa, holding onto Marty's hand. "Bye, Marie, Nikolas."
"Bye Liz, see you in a few weeks."
Liz nodded and headed out of the docks and to her car. She placed Marty and
Teresa into the car, fastening their seat belts tightly. "You fastened?" she
asked them.
"Yeah, we're ready to go."
"Yeah, Mommy."
Liz smiled, and closed the door, going over to the other side to the driver's
side. She locked all the doors, and took out her keys, placing them into the
ignition. She started the car, and drove off to the Spencer residence.

Carly-Spencer-Morgan walked into the penthouse in Miami, she sees a note on the
floor for her to find. "Hmm, it’s from Jason." She smiled. She unfolded the
note and read it.
Dearest Carly,
I'm very sorry, I left you. I heard about your one-night-stand with Sonny. I
too also have a confession, I slept with Robin when you were in California. I'm
very sorry, I loved you Carly, but you blew it big time. I'm going back to New
York, I'm going to marry Robin again. I hope you understand. Say 'hi' to Megan
for me.
Love Always and Forever,
Jason
P.S.: Divorce papers are in the bedroom, please sign them."
"No, Jason!" Carly screamed. "God, I was drunk I didn't know what I was doing!"
She slumped down to the floor crying uncontrollably. "I love you…" she said
softly. She stood up and walked over to see their wedding picture…they looked
so happy and in love. Carly didn't realize about Sonny, it was a mistake and as
Jason stated 'A one night stand' She picked up the picture and threw it across
the room.
"Mommy? What's going on?" asked a voice. Carly looked up to see a young girl
with blonde short hair and brown eyes, looking down from the stairs.
"Megan, nothing, mommy accidentally dropped her wedding picture." Carly
explained.
"Where's daddy?" she asked.
"Daddy?" Carly sighed. "Um…your daddy is gone."
"Where did he go?" she asked. "Did he go to California?"
"No, sweetie, he left, but don't worry mommy is going to get him back." Carly
smiled to herself. 'Robin isn't going to win this time, he's coming back to
me.'
