Chapter 7:

Liz and Laura walked out of the kitchen and headed to the living room. Liz felt
a little uneasy about having Marty knowing that Laura was his grandmother.

"Marty… sweetie." Liz called.

Marty smiled from the couch and looked to his mom. "Mom, are you going to take
us to school?" he asked.

"I can’t Marty, Laura here will be happy to take you." Liz smiled. "Come over
here, so that you can meet her."

Marty got off the couch and ran to Liz. He grabbed onto her leg. He looked up
to Laura and walked up to her.

"Hi, I’m Marty Webber." he smiled, extending his arm.

Laura laughed at how cute he was. She knelt down and took his hand. "Nice to
meet you Marty…I’m Laura Spencer."

Marty started to laugh. "What’s so funny Marty?" Liz asked.

"Laura, she has the same last name as my dad." Marty became upset. "My daddy…
he left me when I was born… he didn’t love me so he left me and mom."

"Marty this is your father’s mother… Laura is your grandmother." Liz said
softly.

Marty looked to Liz, not believing a word she said. "No she isn’t mommy, grams
died with auntie in the fire."

"No, Marty its true, I’m your grandmother."

"What?" Marty looked to Laura. "So you know who my dad is?"

"He’s my son, of course I know him."

"Then why did he leave mommy and me?" he asked. "He doesn’t love me or mommy,
he hurt mommy." He looked to Liz and grabbed her hand. "You aren’t going to
get hurt mommy, dad isn’t going to hurt you again."

"Marty, I know." Liz sighed. "Lucky isn’t going to see you…as long as I live."

Emily-Bowen-Quartermaine-Callahan, glanced at her watch and saw that it was
still early. She looked at her husband, who was sleeping soundly beside her.
Suddenly, the phone rang. Emily quickly placed on a shirt and boxers and headed
to get the phone. She wasn’t fast enough, so the machine kicked off. "Hi,
you’ve reached the Callahan’s. We’re not home right now, so leave a message at
the beep."

"Hey, Em it’s Jason."

Emily quickly picked up the phone. "Hello? Hello"

"Hey Em."

"Hey Jason, what’s up?"

"Um, well, I left Carly." Jason said softly.

"What? why?" Emily asked. "You two loved each other, didn’t you?"

"Yeah… we have a six year old daughter named Megan and now Michael’s reached the
stage of Teen hood."

"That’s great…I’m sorry about Carly, can you tell me about it?"

"She slept with Sonny."

"Sonny? Why?"

"She said that she was drunk, I couldn’t take anymore of her bull…so I left."

"So now what are you going to do?"

"Well, I’m getting married Emily."

"Are you serious?" Emily laughed. "To who?"

"Robin Scorpio."

"Robin again?" Emily asked. "What number is this? number 3?"

"Number 2, Robin and I have worked things through." He explained. "We’re
getting married Saturday."

"Wow, I’m happy for you Jason."

"I want you to be invited." Jason said. "The matron of honor?"

"I would be honored."

"Great, um you could invite someone else besides Dylan."

"Oh, okay."

"I’ll see you later at two for dress fittings." Jason paused. "Come over to the
penthouse and Robin will take you."

"Okay, see you then, bye Jase."

"Bye Em."

Emily hung up the phone and smiled to herself. ‘Hmm…Liz really needs a
break…I’m sure she’d love to go and Marty and Teresa would look so adorable.’
