Chapter 8

"Liz, would you at least give that some thought?" Laura pleaded.

"Laura, he doesn’t deserve to know Marty."

"But he didn’t know about him, don’t you think you should tell Marty the truth?"

Liz got quiet. "He thought the mob was his life…that’s why he left me for a
year!" she cried.

"Mommy, please don’t cry." Marty begged.

Liz looked down and picked up Marty, wiping her tears away. "Oh, no Marty I’m
not going to cry."

"Liz, you have to get going don’t you?" Laura asked.

"Yeah…" Liz placed Marty down. "Be good to your grandmother."

Marty looked at Laura and walked away. "Bye Mom." He said quietly.

"Bye Teresa." Liz waved.

"Bye bye mommy!" she called back.

Liz smiled and headed out of the door. As she closed the door, she leaned
against it and cried softly. She missed Lucky… she knew she wanted Lucky to
meet his son…yet she hated him. There had to be a reason… a reason why he left
her there. She wiped her tears away and ran to her car, driving out of the
driveway to her apartment.

Marty watched television very quietly on the couch, not making a sound. "Grammy
Laura, who’s this with mommy?" Teresa asked, as Laura was showing her pictures
of the family.

"Oh, that is Lucky." Laura smiled.

As Marty heard that name, he got off the couch and approached Laura. "May I see
that picture?" he asked.

"Sure Marty." Laura handed him the picture.

Marty stared at the picture, it was Liz and Lucky together. He lifted the
picture over his head and screamed. "Why couldn’t you love mom and me!" he felt
so angry that he threw the picture at a nearby wall, shattering the glass.

Laura looked at Marty, wondering why he did that.

"Marty you’re in trouble." Teresa said

Liz got to her apartment door. As she dug into her purse for the keys, the new
owner of Kelly’s came up from behind.

"Hello. Mr. Caterly." Liz smiled.

"Liz, I’m sorry to say, but you’ve been evicted." He stated.

"No please, Mr. Caterly I’ll get it to you as soon as I can." Liz begged

"Move out by Saturday, or else." He warned.

"What?" Liz asked. "Mr. Caterly please."

"You’ve been warned Miss. Webber."

Liz sighed and finally opened the door. She entered and slammed the door. She
cried to herself and ran to her bedroom crying. Suddenly, there was a phone
ring. Liz looked up and ran to get it, she fixed her hair out of her eyes and
answered the phone.

"Hello…"

"Liz? This is Em, are you okay?"

"Not really." Liz said softly.

"Oh, hold on I’ll be there soon." Emily quickly hung up the phone. Liz placed
the phone down and looked around the apartment. In a way, she knew she wasn’t
going to keep it… she had to move out by Saturday. What was she going to tell
Marty and Teresa?

"Why me?" Liz asked softly.

*+*+*

"Marty, sweetie, grandma wants to know why you did that." Laura pleaded.

"YOU’RE NOT MY GRANDMA!" Marty screamed.

"Marty, stop screaming."

"Why? You don’t tell me what to do!"

Suddenly, Lulu Spencer came down the stairs, as she heard screaming. "Mom,
what’s going on?" she asked.

Laura looked to her daughter and smiled. "Nothing Lulu, um this is Marty."

Lulu looked at Marty and smiled. She approached him and gave out her hand…

"Hi Marty, I’m Lulu."

Marty looked up, still looking hurt and angry. "Hi."

"Lulu, Marty is your nephew." Laura explained.

"What?" Lulu smiled. "I’m an Aunt? This is Lucky’s son?" Lulu looked to her
mother and smiled. "Did Lucky and Lizzie have a baby?"

"Yeah."

"Hey Grammy we got to go to school." Teresa came running toward the three of
them.

Lulu looked at the blonde-haired little girl and smiled. "And who might you
be?" she asked.

"My names Teresa Webber." Teresa smiled. "Who are you?"

"My name is Lulu Spencer." Lulu shook her tiny hand. "Nice to meet you Teresa."

"Nice to meet you too." Teresa smiled widely. "Um… mommy said that we have to
go to school"

"Yeah…" Laura looked to Lulu, "Lu, tell your father I went out."

"Okay mom." Lulu smiled.

"Bye Lulu!" Teresa smiled.

"Bye." Lulu gave a wave. She saw as Marty, Teresa, and her mother headed out.
"I’m an aunt!" Lulu screamed with excitement.

"Who’s an aunt?"

Lulu spun around to see her father, Luke Spencer, smiling at her. She wanted to
tell him the great news that he was a grandfather.
