Chapter 11:
Liz looked at herself in the full-length mirror, she couldn't believe it was
Saturday already. She examined the dress and admired it. It was so beautiful.
It was a pale blue satin dress, with thin straps crossing her back. She had a
wrap that she placed around herself, like a shawl.
"Mommy!" Marty's scream sounded the apartment.
Liz quickly ran to his aid. "What is it sweetie?" she asked frantically.
"Do I have to wear a tie?" he complained.
"Yes, you do mister," Liz poked at him playfully, "You have to look good for
Robin and Jason."
"But mom I don't know them."
"That's true, but you will at the wedding," Liz smiled, "now go get your shoes."
Liz watched as Marty headed off. She sighed and returned to the mirror. She
applied her pale pink lipstick and her chestnut blush. She was going for the
natural look.
"Mommy do I look pretty?" Teresa asked.
Liz looked away from the mirror and at Teresa. She was amazed at how well
dressed Marty and Teresa looked. She smiled as she saw Teresa in her pastel
pink, flower printed, sleeved dress. Liz agreed that both Marty and Teresa
looked adorable.
"Yes, you do," Liz replied, "I love that dress it's so pretty."
"I love it mommy!" she smiled, "You look much pretty than me."
"Why thank you," Liz smiled, "Can you tell your brother to hurry up?"
"MARTY!" Teresa called.
Liz plugged her ears. "Teresa, Teresa," She stopped her, "um… mommy could've
done that herself."
"Yeah, what is it?" Marty came in, looking really annoyed.
"Martin you do not address to anyone by that tone." Liz scolded him.
"My name's Marty, mom!" he screamed, "I can use any tone I want, I'm not going
to be nice anymore." He crossed his arms.
"Marty you are going to act polite whether you like it or not."
"NO, I'M NOT!!" he screamed at the top of his lungs, "I DON'T WANT TO GO!!"
"You're going," Liz glanced at her watch and saw that it was time to leave,
"we're leaving now."
"NO, I'M NOT GOING!!!" he threw his shoes on the floor.
Liz turned around and approached the troubled boy. "Marty" she knelt down and
grabbed his shoulders. She saw that he was ignoring her. She shook him
slightly. "Look at me Marty."
Marty slowly looked to Liz. Liz could tell he was hurting. "Pick up your shoes
and put them on," she ordered, "Marty I know you're hurting because your father
left you."
"You mean Lucky." Marty said coldly.
"Marty mommy is going to move on… but right now mommy has to get better."
"With your hip?" he asked, tears started to roll down his cheeks.
"Yeah… You see when mommy gets everything fixed, she can start over and…"
"Mommy can I ask you a question?"
"Go ahead."
"Mommy tell me the truth… did daddy leave me? or are you making it sound like he
did?"

Carly looked at herself in her compact mirror and sighed. Why did she let
everything get out of hand?
"May I help you miss?" asked a flight attendant.
"Oh," Carly looked up, "Yes you can as a matter of fact I'm going to New York."
"Well, the plane is about to leave I can't let you on"
Carly looked at the attendant and smirked. It was a woman, about early
twenties, she had dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. She kinda reminded her
of Robin… Robin, how she dreaded that name. She looked at the woman and noticed
her nametag. Her name was Grace.
"Tell me Grace, are you married?"
"Yeah… Miss my personal life is none of your…"
"Now, I have a husband." Carly interrupted. "And if I don't get to New York
soon, I'll have to say 'goodbye' to him."
"I'm sorry miss, there's nothing I can do."
"Exactly." Carly laughed bitterly, tears formed in her eyes. "You can't do
anything for me."
"I'm very sorry."
"Grace, I want you to see something…" Carly reached in her purse and took out
her wallet, showing Grace pictures of Michael and Megan. "These are my
children…Their father is about to marry someone else!" she cried.
"Oh, I'm sorry."
"Can you please stop apologizing?" Carly looked at Grace. "You're making me
sick!"
Grace stayed quiet, and got the courage to speak. "Miss, if you don't stop
yourself while you're ahead, I'm going to have to call security."
"Grace, I'm a mother… my children are going to grow up without a father."
"Please, miss." Grace pleaded. "The plane is leaving."
"Fine." Carly gave a smile. She got out of the way and looked to Grace coldly.
She could tell she wasn't going to get her way this time.

"Marty your father left you and I when we needed him." Liz stated. "I told you
that."
"But mom is that the truth?" he asked. "Did he even know me?"
Just as Liz was about to answer, Teresa came running. "Let's go mommy!"
Liz got up and fixed her dress. She looked down at Marty and sighed. "Come on
Marty lets go."
Marty shrugged and took Liz's hand. Liz, Marty, and Teresa walked out of the
apartment hand in hand.

"So Jason, how do you feel?" Lucky asked, as he saw Jason getting ready to stand
at the altar.
"I feel great." He smiled. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, why?" Lucky asked.
"You seem a little spaced out." Jason said.
"No…" Lucky walked off sighing. "Um…I saw her…"
"Who?" Jason asked. "Elizabeth?"
"Yeah…" he sighed again.
"How is she?" Jason asked, as he fixed his sleeve.
"I don't know."
"Did you talk to her?" He asked.
"No, what's the point?" Lucky ran his fingers through his hair. "She has a
family, she forgot all about me…I'm not going to hurt her again."
"Lucky it wasn't your fault, haven't I told you that?"
"Yeah you have…but it was…"
"Oh, the guests are arriving." Jason fixed his collar.
Lucky sighed and walked away. He wasn't in the mood to see someone other than
himself get married. He never moved on… never. He was thirty-one and single,
but all he could think about was Liz. He always thought to that night…
********
"Elizabeth… Elizabeth come on don't give up." Lucky held onto Liz's unmoving
body in his arms. "Please don't die…" He looked to the baby boy and girl at her
side, they were crying. "Don't worry…I'm going to get help."
He reached in his pocket and took out his cellular phone, on his free hand he
checked for a pulse from Liz's neck. "Come on come on pick up." He begged into
the phone as it continued to ring. As the other end picked up, Lucky asked or
help. He hung up and placed the phone in his pocket. Lucky placed Liz's body
on the ground and kissed her cheek. He stood up and looked to her body. "Don't
give up Elizabeth…"
"Lucky lets go man!" Jason called from the limo.
"But Elizabeth needs help Jase." Lucky, called back.
"We have to leave NOW Lucky!"
Lucky had no choice to leave, even though he shouldn't have, he did. Jason
called him to come, and he couldn't back away from his job. As he walked to the
limo, he looked back and prayed that the paramedics would show soon.
******
'I shouldn't have left you.' Lucky said quietly to himself.
"Lucky, are you all right?" Jason asked.
"Yeah." Lucky managed a smile. "Um I wish you and Robin the best of luck."
"What? You're not going to watch?"
"I can't Jason, I'm not in the mood to see anyone happy… I know that sounds
selfish, but I need time alone."
"If this is about Liz, get over it." Jason frowned.
"I can't Jason I love her…" he sighed.
"Well, she's probably moved on."
"No she hasn't…I'm sure of it." Lucky said with confidence.
Lucky turned around and headed outside. Jason sighed and looked at the
entrance, when Sonny Corinthos walked in. The church was already crowded, time
was going by so fast.
***
"Look at all the flowers mommy." Teresa pointed to the many flowers decorating
the church.
"Yeah…" Liz smiled. "They're lovely aren't they?"
"Mom can we sit down." Marty complained.
"Yes we can…we have to find Emily." Liz looked around the crowded church in
search of Emily.
Marty sighed and looked around the church, many strangers filled the church. He
felt like wanting to scream.
Liz continued to search for Emily, when someone tapped her on the shoulder. Liz
turned around and smiled as she saw Emily hand in hand with her husband, Dylan.
"Hey Em, Dylan." Liz smiled.
"Hey Liz looking good." Emily giggled.
"Liz, how are you and the kids?" Dylan asked.
"We're fine." Liz smiled. "Yet Marty's acting up…"
"Am not!" Marty protested. He smiled to Dylan. "Uncle Dylan!"
"Hey slugger." Dylan smiled. "Why are you mad?"
"Because this tie itches!" Marty tried taking it off.
"Marty, stop that!" Liz scolded him.
"Well, we should go in." Emily changed the subject.
"Oh, right." Liz smiled. She took Marty's hand and dragged through the
entrance. She could tell something wasn't going to go right today.
"Let’s sit here Liz." Emily suggested.
"There?" Liz pointed. "That's where all Jason's friends are."
"Yeah, so let’s sit." Emily sat down in the row, along with many of Jason's
friends and workers.
Liz rolled her eyes and entered the row, asking for people to move and scoot
down. She finally sat down and instructed Marty to be on his best behavior. Liz
noticed Marty wasn't acting like himself at all. She never had to scold him
about being on his best behavior or to put on his shoes. Marty did everything
at ease, but ever since Marty went to meet Laura, Liz knew he wouldn't be the
same again. She sighed and looked ahead.
"Excuse me…" said a voice.
Liz turned to her side to face a handsome, Hispanic looking male, she could say
maybe he was in his mid-thirties…early forties.
"Yes?" she smiled.
"I couldn't help but notice how beautiful you are." He smiled.
"Why thank you." Liz blushed, it was a long time someone called her 'beautiful'.
"Um…are those your kids?" he asked.
"Oh, yeah." Liz said.
"Oh, I'm very sorry." He extended his arm. "I'm Sonny Corinthos."
Liz accepted. "Elizabeth Webber." she smiled.
"Nice to meet you Elizabeth."
"Nice to meet you Sonny."
"Um…what's your name little guy?" he asked Marty.
Marty looked to Sonny and gave a weak smile. "Marty Webber."
"I'm… I'm Teresa." Teresa climbed over Liz's lap. "And I'm only five ½."
"Oh nice to meet you young lady." He laughed.
Sonny looked back to Liz. "So are you a single mother?"
"I guess you can say that." Liz smiled as she ruffled Marty's hair.
"Who's the father?" he asked bluntly.
"Excuse me?" Liz asked. "I don't know who you are and you're getting into my
personal life?"
"Sorry… I didn't mean to." He apologized.
Liz ignored Sonny, and looked forward. The "Wedding March" sounded the church.
She stood up and watched as Robin walked down the isle with the most gorgeous
white off the shoulder long trained-laced wedding dress. This made her think to
when she thought many times of getting married to Lucky. 'God how stupid was
I.' She muttered to herself. "Dearly beloved…" The ministers' words echoed
throughout the church. "We are gathered here today to witness the wedding of
Robin Scorpio and Jason Morgan."
Liz looked down and continued to hear the minister talking. 'I wish I was up
there.' she sighed to herself.
"Robin do you take Jason as your lawful wedded husband, to honor and to cherish,
to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, till death do you part?"
"I do." Robin replied.
"And do you Jason take Robin to be your lawful wedded wife to honor and to
cherish to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, till death do you part?"
"I…"
"STOP!!!" a scream sounded through the church.
"Marty be quiet." Liz whispered loudly. "You are embarrassing mommy."
"I DON'T WANT TO BE HERE THIS WEDDING STINKS!" he screamed.
"Marty!"
"LET ME TALK MOM!" he cried. "I DON'T LIKE YOU AT ALL MR. JASON!!! I HATE YOU!"
Just then, the church started to get quiet. Jason's guards approached Marty,
trying to restrain him.
"You stay away from my son!" Liz screamed, as she backed for them all to leave.
"We have to restrain your son, he's ruining our boss's wedding." Said one of the
guards.
"I don't care!" Liz said sternly. "You are not to touch my son."
"Listen to the lady." Sonny gave a cold stare to the guards. "Leave her son
alone."
The guards gave up and walked away. Liz looked to Sonny and smiled. "Thank
you."
"Hey no problem." He smiled back.
"THIS WEDDING BETTER BE OVER!" Marty screamed.
"Marty please stop." Liz pleaded.
Just then, Lucky came running to the front to see what was going on, unaware
that Liz was there.
"What is going on here?!" he looked over to Marty, who was being restrained by
Liz.
'I recognize that voice.' Liz said to herself, she looked up and saw him. It
was Lucky. She let go of Marty and looked to Lucky with a cold stare.
Lucky stared back, not believing who he saw. It was his angel, his Elizabeth.
"Elizabeth…" he said softly.
Marty crossed his arms and looked up at Lucky. "LUCKY!" he gasped. Marty
couldn't take anymore stress. He started to have trouble breathing. He stood
up and looked to Lucky. "I HATE YOU!" he screamed. With that last breath he
had, Marty fell to the floor.
"MARTY!" Liz screamed. Emily and Dylan ran to their aid and took Teresa away
from the scene. Liz picked him up and brought him to her arms. "Please baby
open your eyes."
People started to crowd around Liz and Marty, especially Lucky. Lucky ran inside
the row Liz was sitting in and tried to help her.
"Please somebody call for help!" Liz begged, as she rocked Marty's body in her
arms, she looked to Emily who was going. "Thank you Em…"
"Elizabeth, we're doing all that we can." Lucky explained.
Liz looked up, tears streaking her face. She looked to Lucky and moved away,
with Marty in her arms. "You!" she cried. "You were the cause of this!"
"Me? why?" Lucky asked.
"Marty is your son!" she exclaimed.
