Chapter 12:

Liz looked to Lucky, being so angry she didn’t realize what she said. She
didn’t care, she continued to rock Marty and kiss him on his forehead.

"Please Marty sweetie…you have to wake up." She cried softly. "Mommy loves you
very much… God, please I can’t lose you either."

Lucky stood up, he was still shocked on the news… Marty was his son. He looked
at Liz and sighed.

"Liz, the paramedics are here." Emily came running.

Liz looked up and saw as paramedics handled the situation. She stood up and got
out of the pew. She watched as they were working on Marty. "Is he going to be
okay?" she asked.

"Miss please we need to wait and see."

"Is he going to be okay?!" she cried. "That is my son!"

Liz backed away and cried. She wasn’t going to lose her son… he was her life.
She felt regret as to when she brought him to the Spencer house. If she didn’t…
he wouldn’t have acted so badly.

"Hey it’s going to be okay." Sonny approached her.

Liz looked to Sonny and entered his arms. She cried into his shirt and prayed.
"It’s going to be okay." he repeated, stroking her hair. Lucky watched as Sonny
and Liz were caught in an embrace. The shock of Marty being his son still got
to him. He looked down at his son being placed on a stretcher. He looked so
fragile… so much like his father was long ago. Tears started to form in his
eyes… he wasn’t there at all for his son. Now at age six… there was nothing to
fix that. He wasn’t there when he was born or when he took his first step.

"I didn’t know…" he sighed to himself. "Elizabeth never told me…"

Carly finally made it to Port Charles, waiting patiently in a cab to get to the
church. ‘Please I hope its not too late.’ She tapped her nails along the
window.

Just then, the cab stopped. Carly quickly unfastened her seat belt and got out
of the cab. She gave the cab fare and started to run into the church. She ran
through the main doors and looked in frantically searching for Robin and Jason
kissing. To her surprise, they weren’t. She knew she still had time. She saw
a crowd of people huddled together in the front. "Jason!" she cried.

After calming Robin down, Jason looked to Carly. He stared at her coldly. "What
are you doing here?"

"Jason I love you!" she cried. "I’ve always loved you… Megan and Michael, they
miss you!"

"Carly you didn’t sign the papers… did you?" he crossed his arms and bowed his
head down.

"No." she said sternly. "How could you even think that I never loved you! I
still do!"

"What about Sonny?" he asked.

"He was nothing to me Jason honest!" tears streamed down her face. "Why is it so
hard to trust me?"

"I don’t know Carly." Jason looked into her eyes. "Maybe because I tell you
that I love you and you go and sleep with my best friend!"

"You do love me?" she smiled.

"No…" he said softly. "I love Robin… today we couldn’t get married, but next
time we will."

"I can’t let you do this Jason." Carly begged. "Please… Michael ran away."

"What?" Jason became worried. "Why?"

"He found out you weren’t his real father… so he left."

"And you’re not back in Miami looking for HIM!" he screamed. "God, Carly why
didn’t you watch him?!"

"I can answer that question." Said a voice.

Carly, Jason, and Robin turned around to see Michael Morgan, a bit mature now,
staring at them coldly.
