Chapter 1
October 12,1998
Jason was at the penthouse looking over the city. He was holding on to Michael.
He was thinking about what has been happening over the past few weeks. When
Carly was released she forced Jason to make a choice. Either he leaves Robin or
she will take Michael. He had picked Michael. Carly was upstairs. He knew that
today was Robin's 20th birthday and that he had to stay away. He heard a knock
on the door. It was Benny. Jason gave Michael to Carly and came back downstairs.
He and Benny sat down.
Jason: What’s up?
Benny: I have been checking things as you have been asking. And it looks like
that a new player is coming into Port Charles.
Jason: Who is this player?
Benny: It looks like the Dover Organization is moving in. There leader Johnathan
Thatcher is in Port Charles.
Jason: What do we know about him and the organization?
Benny: They control the organization in England and France. They also have
control of the docks along the Canadian side of the Great Lakes. Like us they
don't deal in Drugs. They keep themselves very clean. But do fight. Port Charles
is logical for them to expand. They were the ones who provided the protection
for Ms. Scorpio when she was in Paris.
Jason: They did me a favor in protecting Robin. Did they ask for something?
Benny: That’s the strange thing. They didn't ask for anything. They might have
been waiting.
Jason: He comes to Port Charles to collect.
Benny: It could be. There is one thing you should know. He is interested in Ms.
Scorpio.
Jason: WHAT!
Benny: There are rumors that he is in town because of Ms. Scorpio. He did ask
someone in the hotel about the outback. (Benny's cell phone rings. He picks it
up. After a short talk he hangs up.) The person watching him just reported that
he made a reservation at the outback for today.
Jason: Robin's birthday party. It is being held today. I have to get there to
make sure that she is safe.
Jason gets his gun and leaves for the outback. Later at the outback Mac is
throwing a party for Robin. All of her friends are there. Next to her is
Nikolas. Over the past few weeks he and Robin have become close. She is
unwrapping her presents. She opens Nikolas'. It is a book.
Robin: Dickens’s “A tale of two Cities.” Thank you.
Nikolas: Take a closer look at it Robin.
Robin closely examines the book. She notices that it is a first edition. She
then opens it and sees that it has been signed.
Robin: My god Nikolas. It must of cost you…
Nikolas: It doesn't matter Robin. It has been in my family for years. I want you
to have it.
Robin: Thank you Nikolas.
Jason comes into the outback he notices Robin and Nikolas kissing. He is feeling
jealous. He suddenly notices Johnathan Thatcher in the room. He is coming up to
Robin. He is unable to come up to Robin in time.
Johnathan: Hello Robin.
Robin turns to face him. Jason is shocked when she smiles at him
Robin: Uncle John. What are you doing here?
John: I wouldn't miss your 20th birthday.
Jason and the others are shocked when Robin and Johnathan hug.
