Chapter 10:
Bobbie and Lucky are walking in the General Hospital parking lot, they see a
woman lying on the floor with blood on her face and she was unconscious. Lucky
and Bobbie run to her and kneel down beside her.
Bobbie: Oh my God! It's Brenda Barrett!
Lucky looks at Brenda frightened. He realizes that Brenda has been raped. Just
like Liz.
Bobbie: Lucky! Call the police! Get help!
Lucky gets up, still shocked at what he sees and runs away to find help, Bobbie
glances up and sees Miguel in Brenda's car sleeping. Bobbie gets up and runs
over to the car and bangs on the window until Miguel wakes up. Miguel gets out
of the car and runs to Brenda. Just minutes later the police and paramedics
arrive, they take Brenda to the hospital and Lucky and Bobbie for questioning at
the police station.
**IN THE MORNING**
Bobbie and Lucky walk into the hospital, Lucky walks away to see Sonny as Stefan
walks over to Bobbie. When he approaches her, he hugs her tenderly.
Stefan: Barbara, I heard. It's in the newspapers. It must have been
devastating to see that.
Bobbie: Oh Stefan, it was...you don't know how great it is to be in your arms.
Stefan: Barbara...Katherine is pregnant...but I do want to spend time with you.
They separate and Bobbie smiles at him.
Bobbie: I would like that very much.
All of a sudden Lucky and Sonny come out of his hospital room. Sonny still
hadn't heard about Brenda, he walks over to Bobbie.
Sonny: Hey Bobbie, I'm outta here. Have you seen Brenda? She was supposed to be
me home this morning.
Bobbie looks at Lucky, she had thought he had told Sonny what happened to
Brenda. Before Bobbie, Lucky OR Stefan could say anything Miguel comes rushing
through the elevator, Sonny and Miguel's eyes meet, both furious at seeing each
other.
Miguel: Bobbie, where's Brenda?
Bobbie: She hasn't woken up yet.
Sonny: What? What do you MEAN she hasn't woken up yet? What's going on?
Miguel: Figures you wouldn't know, you probably wouldn't care.
Sonny started to get closer to Miguel, trying to start a fight but Lucky holds
them both back. Sonny looks at Lucky.
Sonny: What's wrong?
Bobbie: Sonny...Brenda was raped in the General Hospital parking lot last night.
Sonny: WHAT?! BRENDA!
Sonny runs to the nearest room and luckily sees Brenda, she looks terrible with
bruises all over her face and cuts on her face. She looked worse than Liz did.
At the sight on Brenda, tears came to Sonny's eyes.
Sonny: Oh God...Brenda...
He puts his hand on the window as Bobbie and Stefan watch from behind. Bobbie
turns to Stefan.
Bobbie: This is terrible...Oh Stefan...stay with me today.
Stefan: Barbara I would go anywhere with you. Yes, I will.
Bobbie: Stefan...? We can't let anyone know about this, especially Lucky, Luke,
and Laura...at least not yet.
Stefan: I agree. Let's go to Wyndemere.
Stefan and Bobbie walk off, unaware that Lucky had heard everything.
**AT WYNDEMERE**
Bobbie and Stefan walk in quietly. Bobbie sits down on the couch.
Bobbie: Did you see the way Sonny acted when he heard that Brenda was raped? He
was torn apart. For Brenda to be hurt the way she was she must have been
fighting back.
Stefan walks closer to the couch and sits down.
Stefan: Why do you say that?
Bobbie: She got very serious bruises, the rapist probably wouldn't have hurt her
like that unless if she was hurting him.
Stefan: It must have been so frightening finding her lying on the ground,
helpless.
Bobbie: It was...
Bobbie puts her head on Stefan's shoulder. Stefan puts his arm around her.
Bobbie looks up at him and they start kissing softly.
