Chapter Eleven
Sonny and Brenda met Lucky, Luke, and Liz at the Port Charles grill and started
to have a quiet dinner. “So you find a dress, yet?” Brenda asked Liz, while they
waited for the next course.
“No. I have been trying to get Gram to go with me but she has been really busy
at the hospital,” Liz said.
“Then we will go. I'll pick you up tomorrow and we'll go shopping,” Brenda said.
“You don't have to go through any trouble for me,” Liz thanked Brenda.
“No trouble. I love shopping, just ask Sonny,” Brenda said with a smile.
“She does. I pay the bills every week to prove it,” Sonny said with the same
smile, as Brenda hit him playfully on the arm.
“Come on. We will go to the lady's room and powder our noses. We will talk more
on the way,” Brenda said getting up and the two of them left.
“Hey, Dad. While their gone, I want to show you this. I didn't get the chance to
show you it sooner but this is what I'm giving Liz before the prom,” Lucky said
taking out a small box from his pocket. Luke looked at his kid with a weird
look, but opened the box anyway. Inside was a sweetheart ring with a small
diamond chip. “Do you think she'll like it?”
“I think she'll love it. So, she is more to you than your best friend?” Luke
asked, glad to see some kind of light in his son's eyes.
“Yes, I don't know where its going but I think I'm falling in love with her,”
Lucky said, with a smile.
“I don't have to tell you to be careful. Besides, I like Liz and I think she is
great Spencer material,” Luke said, with a sly smile. He handed Lucky the ring
back and he put it away. The rest of the dinner was great and they were on
dessert when things turned bad. Bobbie and Stefan walked into the room, right as
they were finishing up. Luke looked up and saw the two of them together. He
couldn't sit by and let Stefan go after another member of his family.
“Barbara Jean, have you lost your mind?” Luke's voice boomed as he got up and
walked toward the couple.
“Luke? Nice seeing you,” Bobbie said not liking the look on his face. “Don't
blow your top. Stefan was just taking me to dinner for old time's sake.”
“I bet. Cassadine, get your claws out of my sister,” Luke said, grabbing
Stefan's arm and twisting it.
“Spencer, you are a bully and I am sick of your interfering in my life. I am
going to teach you a lesson in manners,” Stefan said and soon they were in an
all out fight.
Lucky put his head on the table and shook his head. “Why don't they stop
fighting?” He asked himself. Sonny wondered the same thing and ordered his men
to stop the fight before things went too far. Luke was on his back and Stefan
was going to crash a chair over him when he used his legs and sent Stefan flying
backwards. Sonny's men grabbed each one of them and kept them apart but before
things could get calmed down, Taggert and Garcia showed up and demanded to know
what was going on. The host demanded that Luke and Stefan be arrested. They both
were cuffed and hauled off to jail. Sonny sent Brenda with Lucky and Liz back to
the penthouse and went to see what he could do to get Luke out of jail.

A few hours later at the Port Charles police station. “Get off me. I am going to
sue the city for false arrest,” Stefan said, pulling his arms free.
“Relax, Mr. Cassadine. You will get your say in court but since it is the
weekend you will have to stay with us until Monday,” Taggert said putting Stefan
in the hands of the other officers.
“Sonny, keep Lucky with you until this mess gets cleared up,” Luke said as he
was showed to the holding cell. The place was packed for the weekend and they
had only one cell left so Taggert cuffed Luke on one side and Stefan to the
other. They could yell and cuss at each other all they wanted but couldn't do
much more than that. He left with the thought of the two of them stuck together
all weekend.
Luke glared after Taggert and said, “I hate that man.”
“This is your fault,” Stefan said looking at Luke.
“Mine? Cassadine, you're the one that can't keep his hands off members of my
family. Stealing my wife isn't enough and now your going back after my sister?”
Luke said getting more comfortable.
“You are more paranoid than I thought. I wasn't going after Laura and what I do
with Bobbie is none of your business,” Stefan said.
“Listen to me Cassadine. I'm sick of you going after my family. Keep away from
them or I'm going to send you to see your daddy sooner than you think,” Luke
said, trying to get to him but the cuffs kept them apart.
“Try it, Spencer. I can handle you any day in the week,” Stefan said.
“You think so? Well, we will see about that,” Luke said. The two men didn't say
anything after that but neither took their eyes off the other. The hate between
them was very apparent and if it wasn't for the cuffs, they could have killed
each other at that moment.

Sonny walked into the penthouse and found Brenda waiting for him. “Hi, babe.
Where is Lucky and Liz?” he asked as he sat down.
“Lucky took Liz home and Johnny drove them in the other car. They should be back
soon. Where is Luke?” Brenda asked as she rubbed his back.
“He is in jail for the weekend. He asked me to keep Lucky here with us. I hope
you don't mind,” Sonny asked.
“No. I like having Lucky around and maybe you can get him to smile more. I don't
think he is happy,” Brenda said as they cuddled closer.
“I know he isn't and I don't blame him. I know what it feels like when a parent
abandon's you. Mike at least left town,” Sonny said and started to kiss her.
Lucky and Johnny walked in about then and he stopped. “I think I'll go for a
walk,” Lucky said and headed back outside.
Sonny smiled and said, “Forget it kid. You stuck with us for the weekend. Your
dad is in jail at least until Monday.”
“With Stefan?” Lucky asked in surprise.
“Yes and I hope they are apart. Luke would end up killing him otherwise,” Sonny
said trying not to laugh.
Lucky didn't laugh and simply asked, “Can I go home and get some stuff.”
“Sure, Johnny go with him,” Sonny ordered and watched as they left. “I got to
talk to Luke. Lucky is in pain and we have to do something to make him smile
more.”
“You're right. Sonny, I don't like it. He is getting worse and not better,”
Brenda said.

Monday morning
Luke's day in court arrived and everyone was hit with a big surprise. Luke and
Stefan had ended up going in front of the judge together. Sonny's lawyer,
Valentine, defended Luke and Alexis defended Stefan. Both men weren't talking
and all they want to do was go home and forget about the weekend all together.
The judge listened to both sides and made his decision. “I have heard both sides
and come to a decision. I fine both men five thousand dollars and they will
split the damages. I also sentence them thirty days in jail for a cooling off
period. Gentlemen, if I see you in front of me again, I will double the fine and
penalty. Next case,” the judge said.
Sonny and Luke talked a few minutes later. “Keep an eye on the kid. I can do
this time holding my breath. I just hope we don't have to share a cell together.
I don't think Stefan can survive thirty days in jail,” Luke said with an evil
smile. “Keep your cool. Lucky needs his father out of jail and you going up for
murder wouldn't help him out at all,” Sonny said and then Luke was led away.

Friday came slowly and Lucky was looking forward to the prom. Right, Luke was in
jail but hey it was for only a month. He rented a van and asked Chris and some
friends to join him and Liz. Liz and Emily were talking about the prom when
Sonny arrived with Jason. “I don't want to go with Chris and the others but
Lucky all ready rented the van. I would hate to say they couldn't go,” Liz said.
“I don't like Chris. He drinks too much and when Lucky gets around him he
changes.” Emily said. “He wouldn't drink that night would he?”
“Lucky promised me that no one was going to drink and besides, I'll keep an eye
on him,” Liz said with a smile. Sonny and Jason looked at each other and
wondered what was going on. Sonny suddenly got an idea and went to find Lucky.
He was up in his room trying to get a hold of Laura, so he could talk to his
sister. He promised his father he would at least spend time with Lulu. The prom
was tomorrow and Lucky wanted to take her to the movies but he just couldn't
find them.
Sonny walked in and said, “I heard you rented a van. I think I know something
with a little more class for a prom,” Sonny said.
“What? I know Liz and Emily don't want to go in the van but I don't have any
time to change the plans and I all ready asked Chris and the others,” Lucky said
hanging up the phone.
“How about the limo?” Sonny asked.
“Your limo?” Lucky asked in surprise.
“Yes, my limo. It would be a nice surprise for the girls and this way I will
know you will be safe, in case you all drink or something,” Sonny said, waiting
for Lucky's reaction. The kid hid it very well but Sonny knew something was
going on by the look on Lucky's face.
“Thanks, Sonny. I can let Chris take the van and I know he wouldn't mind me not
going. He likes Liz but they don't get a long too well.” Lucky said with a
smile.
“Well this way you can be with your friends and still please your lady,” Sonny
said and left the room. Jason was leaning against the door. “I know I promised
Luke not to check out Lucky's friends but something is going on. Check them out
but be quiet about it. I don't want Lucky to know what is going on. This might
be nothing but I don't think so. I don't like the conversation we walked in on.”
“Sure. Who do you want to drive the limo?” Jason asked.
“I would say you but Emily might kill me. How about Johnny? He and Lucky get
along really well and he is closer to their age. He wouldn't stand out too much.
I want to keep an eye on Lucky. He doesn't have to do anything, just watch him,”
Sonny said and went to find Brenda.
