Chapter 15 - "Ready For Action"
[P.C.: As You Know It]
Nikolas came running out.
Lucky: What is it, man? Did you find anything out?
Nikolas: Be quiet and hide.
Lucky: What?
Nikolas pulled him over to a rowboat, which was tied up nearby. They both got
in and hid under a blanket. They heard the footsteps of a man go by and then
they got out from under it.
Lucky: Who was that?
Nikolas: Look, we need to follow Ari to some warehouse. I overheard a
conversation between Ari and Helena about some daughter of hers at this
warehouse. Lucky, this could have something to do with what's going on.
At first, Lucky wondered who Ari was, but then he figured he was probably that
guy who just left here.
Lucky: All right, well, let's get going.
They got out of the boat and follow Ari as discreetly as they could.

Kevin shook his head as his father messed with the controls.
Kevin: I can not believe I'm going along with this.
Jerry: Well, no one asked you to, mate.
Kevin looked at Jerry and scowled.
Kevin: I want to be sure my father does not get in any trouble so even if it
means going along with this insane plot, I'll make sure nothing bad happens.
Victor: Don't worry, Monk, I assure you everything will work out fine.
Kevin looked at Jerry.
Kevin: Exactly how did you get mixed up in all of this, anyway?
Jerry: Long story, one I'd prefer to keep under raps.
Victor: God, almighty.
Kevin and Jerry looked at him.
Kevin: God, almighty?
Jerry: That don't sound good Vic… what is it?
Victor looked away from the monitor and faced them.
Victor: I've been checking on the old dimensional rip and have been comparing it
to the new rip and… well, this rip is getting bigger and it's causing the old
rip to get bigger.
Jerry: What?!
Kevin: What would that do?
Victor: To make a long story short (good, I hate tech talk), if we do not get
Miranda and the others back soon and send the people here back, the rips could
tear apart the boundary between this world and that world completely… I don't
know what would happen… but it could either cause both dimensions to cease to
exist, or they could collide.

[P.C.: Dreamscape]
Dr. Robert Scorpio was on the radio with the guards.
Robert: I want guards on every inch of this complex! I do NOT want to lose this
ice form… I don't care! One of them looks exactly like me and… and that is
reason enough to be alarmed!… Thank you, goodbye!
Robert hung up the phone and looked back at the ice form. What the heck was
going on?

Venus walked down the steps of her mansion into the… who cares, it was just
another big, comfy room. V. was a little surprised to a see a woman there that
she had met only by old pictures.
Miranda: Hello, V. Care to chat?

Nikolas and Brenda stood at a good distance to the lab building in the bushy
area, men and woman kneeling around them. They were on a hill and had a good
view of the complex.
Nikolas: Sounds like they are gonna have a lot of security. They are gonna stop
ANYONE from getting in.
Brenda: *giggles* As if!
Brenda pulls out her semi-automatic.
Brenda: Ah… I love the feel of a cold, smooth, lethal gun… I also love knives…
and bombs… and tanks… and missiles! Too bad we couldn't have had all that heavy
artillery.
Nikolas: Would have taken too much time. We can just improvise.
Brenda has a sly smile spread across her face.
Brenda: Right… improvise. *Stands up and turns around* MEN! Get ready for
action!
