Chapter-17-"The Problem Increases"
-[P.C.: As You Know It…]-
Nikolas and Lucky had found a way into the building. They continued to follow
Ari. Lucky watches him around the corner.
Lucky: Where the hell is this guy going?
Nikolas: Lucky, I have a very bad feeling…
Lucky: Come on.
Lucky moves foreword and Nikolas follows.

Victor watches the monitor and gets very worried.
Victor: I better start up the machine, we'll need to be ready to make the switch
as soon as possible.
Jerry: Right. Should I bring the prisoners up?
Victor nodded.
Victor: Yes, but I wish you wouldn't call them that.
Kevin: Victor, what else would you call them? They're being held here against
their will…
Victor: All right, Monk, let's just get on with this. Help Jerry while I take
care of this.
Kevin: All right.
Kevin wanted to get this over with as soon as possible.
-[P.C.: Dreamscape]-
Brenda and Nikolas had opened up the ceiling and were sliding down ropes as more
soldiers came in. Robert was up in his observation room, sounding the alarm. He
grabbed the microphone and screamed into it.
Robert: Get to the laboratory immediately! There are intruders!
Brenda held her rifle up and looked over to Nikolas, grinning.
Brenda: Ready?
Nikolas: Ready.
Brenda and Nikolas kiss and head for the object. Security comes in and head
strait for them. They defend themselves…

Lucky and Nikolas lost Ari and were now lost.
Lucky: Great! Now what?
Nikolas: Wait, did you hear something?
They looked down the hall and saw a single file line of people being lead by
gunpoint.
Lucky: Elizabeth…
Nikolas: Shh! Come on, we have to follow them.
-[P.C.: Dreamscape]-
Miranda was in Robin's office using Robin's laptop. Robin was allowing her to.
She had accessed the net and entered the password for Jasper's Chat Room. When
her men had established a net link to this dimension, she had them set up a chat
room so when she made it over, she could still communicate with the home
dimension. She wanted to know what was going on there.

Tony and Alexis were at a restaurant.
Alexis: Why did you bring me here?
Tony: Usually, every night, this night, my wife and I come here for dinner.
We’re expected to be seen here, if not, the tabloids assume there's some big
divorce in works and start hounding you for months.
Alexis: I doubt that…
Tony: It happened. You'd be surprised how desperate the press can be.
Alexis: Don't bet on that.
Their food arrived and was set before them. Alexis took a bite and almost
melted.
Alexis: Mmm… This is good.
Tony: Well, we don't come here every week for crappy food… so, you know
everything about who you are here… what am I like in your world?
Alexis: You don't want to know, trust me.
Tony: Why? I can't be that bad.
Alexis: You'd be surprised.
Tony: Come on…
Alexis: All right… well, I haven't known you for very long, but you were once
married to a woman named Bobbie Spencer, a nurse at GH who was married to my
cousin after divorcing you. You slept with her daughter.
Tony: I what?
Alexis: Well, you didn't exactly know she was your stepdaughter at the time… she
became pregnant, you thought it was your child, but a month before she had it,
it turned out to be someone else’s. You were going to sue her for custody, with
my help as your lawyer, but that didn't work out… so you kidnapped the baby.
You were caught and I was forced to represent you and that's the last I know.
Tony: Wow… am I glad I'm not me.
Alexis laughed.
Tony: So, why are you forced to represent me?
Alexis: Well, the woman who killed my mother tells me that if I don't do exactly
what she says, I am going to die too.
Tony: What do you think you're going to do about it?
Alexis: I have no idea. I'm almost starting to wish I didn't have to go back…
just start over fresh, here.
Tony: Of course, my wife, if you don't go back, she might not come back here.
Alexis: Right, and I'm not going to do that to you. I'm not going to make
someone else have to live with my mess.
Tony: Well, I wish there were some way I could help.
Alexis: Well, there's nothing you can do. Let's change the subject, okay, I
don't want to think about that.
Tony: All right. How much longer do you think it's going to be until you know
who brought you here?
Alexis: I'm not sure, maybe when I get back to V., she'll know something.
Alexis stuck her fork into the chicken, cut it up and took another bite.

Nikolas knocked a guard out with the butt of his gun and got ready for an attack
from two guys heading for him.
Nikolas: You want a piece of me? Huh?
He shot them both. He looked over at the ice structure. He took old of one of
the rope he and Brenda came down on and headed for it. The plan was to attach
it to the rope and the helicopter would pull it up…
-[P.C.: As You Know It]-
Lucky and Nikolas snuck by the door of the control room and saw them all being
shoved into another room. The door closed behind them They were both confused.
Nikolas: What the hell is going on?
Lucky: I don't know, but somehow, we have to save them.
Nikolas stepped inside and noticed another door.
Nikolas: I wonder what's in that room.
Lucky: Who cares, we need to come up with a plan.
His curiosity got the better of him. Nikolas opened the door and stepped in.
Lucky shrugged as he followed him in. In the room, they saw this platform in the
center of the room. There were these knobs at each corner of the platform and
on the ceiling four more knobs. Nikolas knelt down by the knobs and looked at
them. They seemed to be some sort of electronic devices, he didn't get what it
was supposed to do, though. Suddenly, there was a voice behind them.
Jerry: What do you think you're doing in here?
Nikolas stood up and faced him. Lucky faced him too.

Victor entered the control room and started to press a few buttons. Everything
was set in the other room, now all he had to do was turn the platform on.

Jerry: Well, what are you doing in here?
Nikolas looked at the gun, scared. He started to back up.
Nikolas: Look, we don't mean to cause any trouble…
Nikolas backed into the platform and tripped backwards, falling onto the
platform.
Jerry: *scared* Kid, get off, now!
Each knob had a red light come on. Jerry saw them and cursed, realized the
platform was now turned on. The platform started to glow and Nikolas was
paralyzed. Each knob shot a beam of light at him.
Lucky: What the hell is going on?
Jerry: You don't want to know.
-[P.C.: Dreamscape]-
Nikolas started feeling woozy as he stuck the rope right into the ice structure.
Brenda got close to him.
Brenda: All right! We're ready for takeoff. Come on, Nikolas.
Nikolas didn't move.
Brenda: Nikolas? What's wrong?
Nikolas backed up. He felt so dizzy. Suddenly, he started to glow.
Brenda: What the hell?
Suddenly, Nikolas was just pure light. She could hear Nikolas scream as the
light started to produce some sort of heat. As sudden as it came, the light
went away and Nikolas fell to the ground. Everyone in the room stopped they’re
fighting and saw what had happened. Everyone was now staring. Brenda knelt next
to him.
Brenda: Nikolas, are you okay?
Nikolas looked at her, confused.
Nikolas: *weakly* Brenda Barrett? What are you doing… *looks around* Where the
hell am I?
Brenda looked at him, confused.

Tony and Alexis were on the highway, after eating, and Alexis was looking out
the window. The sky suddenly seemed to tear, like fabric, and an intense
darkness filled the rip.
Alexis: Oh my God…
Tony looked at it.
Tony: What is that?
Alexis: Our worst nightmare…
