Chapter 3
Robin was sitting at her computer in her room. She had just finished a report to
Starfleet. She also sent an E-mail letter to Robert and Anna who are living in
the 24th century. Anna is a Starfleet Admiral. Anna was in charge of the WSB-DVX
project. Robert taught late 20th century history at Starfleet Academy. Robin
turned off the computer. She looked at the clock as she went into the living
room. She knew that Jason and Brenda’s plane should be crashing by now. She knew
that Jax would be calling her with the news very soon. She heard a knock on the
door. She went to the door and opened it. She saw Riker who she didn't know.
Robin: Can I help you?
Riker: I am Commander William Riker of the Starship Enterprise. We have a
problem with the timeline.
Robin looked at Riker in shock. She had never expected to see two starfleet
officers visit her at home.
Robin: Come on in Commander.
Riker and Troi come into the living room. Robin noticed Troi who was friends
with Anna and was helping Robert adjust to living in the 24th century.
Robin: Deanna is that you?
Troi: Hello Robin. I have missed you. It’s too bad that it takes a problem with
the timeline for us to see each other.
Robin and Troi hug.
Robin: How is life in the 24th century. I guess that you are still on the
enterprise.
Troi: I am still on the Enterprise. I am doing all right. Mother is still giving
me a headache.
Robin: (laughs) Lwaxana is a very interesting woman. Is she still after Captain
Picard? Mom told me about how she is trying to get him as a husband.
Troi: No she has moved on to someone else.
Robin: Who?
Troi: Robert Scorpio.
Robin: She’s after dad?
Troi: She is trying to get him to marry her.
Robin: How is mom handling it?
Troi: Admiral Scorpio is enjoying it. Robert is confused.
Robin: It’s hard for 24th century men to handle her. It doesn't surprise me that
Dad is confused in how to handle her. We can talk more later. You said that
there is a problem with the timeline?
Riker: Exactly.
Robin: How serious is the damage.
Troi: Category 1 damage to the timeline.
Robin looked at the two starfleet officers. She knew that category 1 damage
meant that no life existed on earth. But before she could respond to the news
the phone rang. She picked it up. Robin knew that it was Jax.
Robin: Hello.
Jax: Robin its Jax. I just heard from Ned that the ELQ jet carrying Brenda and
Jason is missing. They are assuming that it has crashed.
Robin: NO! They can't be dead.
Jax: They’re not dead Robin. It’s possible that they survived the crash. Jerry
and I are going to search for them. I will keep you informed.
Robin: Thanks Jax.
Robin hangs up the phone. Troi looked at Robin.
Troi: what’s wrong Robin.
Robin: A plane carrying my roommate and my friend Jason Morgan has crashed.
Troi: Are they all right?
Robin: They will be found safe. But I couldn't tell the person on the phone
that. He is very close to Brenda who is my roommate. I had to keep secret my
knowledge that they are fine and where they are. But that’s part of the job.
Picard: (Voice) Number 1 have you made contact with the field historian yet?
Riker: We are with her now Captain.
Picard: I would like you three to beam aboard the Enterprise. If that’s all
right with her?
Robin: Of course Captain.
Robin, Troi and Riker beam aboard the Enterprise.
