Chapter 9
Liz: "Lucky… honey, you have to get better for me…" A tear rolled down her
cheek. "You really scared me today… God… Lucky… I… I love you…"
Lucky's eyes flew open. Liz practically jumped out of the seat.
Liz: "Oh my… Lucky your awake…"
Lucky: (whispering) "I love you too Liz…" Liz's tears stopped and a huge smile
spread across her face.
Liz: "You love me…" Liz leaned over the bed and kissed Lucky with everything she
had. Lucky looked up at Liz's face and smiled.
Liz: "Hey, you should go back to sleep, you look beat."
Lucky: "Promise you won't leave…"
Liz: "I promise." Lucky smiles and kisses her one more time then falls asleep.

Luke and Laura walked in the Spencer house exhausted.
Luke: "I'm heading up to bed, you coming?"
Laura: "I'll be right there, I'm just going to call the hospital and make sure
Lucky is doing ok."
Luke: "Ok sweetheart. I'll be waiting." Luke walked up the stairs and into the
bedroom. Laura sighed. It's been along day. She picked up the phone and began to
dial when the doorbell rang. Laura groaned and placed the phone back on its
receiver and answered the door. She gasped when she saw who was there.
Helena: "Hello, Lasha."

Stefan paced the living room in Wyndemere furiously waiting for Nikolas to come
home. Helena was back in town and Nikolas was once again a target. Stefan heard
the door open and close and Nikolas walked in.
Nikolas: "Greetings, Uncle."
Stefan ran over to Nikolas and pulled him into a hug that surprised Nikolas.
Nikolas: "Uncle… Is something wrong?"
Stefan: "Yes… Helena's back in town."
