The show really depicts the real situation in hospital that doctors and patients and their kin face and also the relationship of the characters. The success of the show is mainly the star-studded cast which I think that they are really great actors/actresses. The great difference between TVB shows and TCS shows are the actors, in my opinion, the storyline of HH is very common and I believe that TCS's version of the doctor show (sorry, don't know what the title is) has about the same storyline. But what makes TVB shows different is the actors/actreses. Their versality and ability to portray the characters is the main difference. When I see them act, I don't feel that they are acting at all. I just feel that they are just being themselves. I mean, they are so real, so natural. In the many scenes of HH, no matter whether it is scenes where they make fun of each other, laugh, cry, or to woo someone, it just comes so naturally; that when I saw Jackie cry because of her inability to control her actions, I also feel sad for her as if she is a real life person, and when I saw Joe expressing his feelings and never-dying love to Helen, I really felt so touched, and happy for them, when Gil realised that he got aids, when Annie saw Henry bring a woman to her house (her expression was really fantastic), when Henry and Paul tried to cheer Gil up when realising he got aids, etc etc. They were so real and natural that I felt that they are really good friends. In contrast, TCS artistes are not as natural. It's not that I'm bias against them, but when I see their shows, I really see them act. They are really "acting", which makes them so unnatural, especially people like Phyllis Quek.

I can say that TVB has got really good artistes like Ada, Bowie, So Wing Hong, Steven and Cheung Kar Fai etc. They portrayed their characters really well. Ada is getting better in each show, Steven's performance in HH has really improved, so is Kar Fai. Bowie is really versatile, the villian in FOJ, the cheeky and flirtatious Henry in HH, the nerd in "The Disapperance", his acting is really GREAT. So Wing Hong and Wu Qi Hua did very well too, not forgetting Astrid. As for the theme songs, I really loved the music. By the way, TVB shows' background music is fantastic too! I have all the theme songs of this show, "Ceng Jin Ji Xu" and "Miss you Finally" by Steven, "Bu xiang du zi kuai le" and "Kai wan xiao" by So Wing Hong, and "Mei Yi Fen Mei Yi Miao dou gei ni" by Ada and Wu Qi Hua. Especially So Wing Hong's songs, he can sing really well. As for the two songs by Steven, they are my Favourite!
