Returning to Velma's old hometown for the fund-raising sports carnival, they find the stadium has become haunted by the ghost of "Fireball" McFane, an old athletics champion of the school. Along with "Coach" Conway, the gang seeks to uncover the criminal(s) behind the operation forcing the principal to go broke.
