Clear Skies

A 15 minute challenge fic for Introductions.

Well, look at you. Not something you see everyday in
a place like this. Just off the farm, aren’t you,
kid? That quick flash of jealousy when I tell you
I'm captain of my own ship just gave you away. A
pretty farmboy with his head in the stars.

Did you just look me over? I ain't blind, and I ain't
ugly. I know about being checked out.

I saw that, boy, that cute little tip of your head.
On some planets, that's enough to get you hauled off
to bed right there. That looks like you're wondering
if I have anything more interesting under the table
than my blaster. Think you're up to finding out?

You just did it again. Didn’t your granddad there
tell you not to flirt with strange men, sonny? You’re
lucky I’m desperate for money. If I was flush, I
might just take you two for the pleasure of your
charms.

Mouthy kid. I like the way you snap when I needle
you. Oh yeah, you can fly, I’m sure. Some little
skyhopper or other atmospheric toy, but if you’ve ever
been off-world, I’ll eat my boots.

And you’re broke. I can tell that from the way you
said “ten thousand” as if it was all the money in the
world. If you’ve seen a thousand credits in one
place, I’m a wookiee’s uncle.

We’ll work something out. Granddad calmed you down a
little. Hope he’s not the touchy kind. Because it’s
a long trip to Alderaan, and I fully plan to get
better acquainted. But now, you gotta go.

Shame. I don’t even have your name yet, kid. But
there will be time for that. Nice back view. And
didn’t you just make sure I saw it, too? Yeah, I
caught that last glance over your shoulder, and the
swagger. Don’t fall over your own feet, junior,
that’s not the way to impress me. I’m more interested
in whether there are dimples on that cute butt of
yours. And how it would feel in my hands. And— I’d
better not be looking in your direction right now.

“Uh, no, no officer. Just me and the wook.” I turn
my attention away from the opposite door and give my
ID to the troopers,

Kid, we’re gonna get a lot better acquainted on this
trip. Formal introductions and everything. And your
name isn’t the only thing I’m gonna know about you by
the time we make Alderaan.
