Angel I-
By Angelica
Just another hard day at the office and she was tired. She had planned to visit her
close friend, Angel's, mausoleum for some Tai Chi and relation. He was quietly staring
at the ceiling in anticipation of her visit. He heard her soft steps and rose to
greet her.
"Buffy."
"Hey. How you feelin' today?" she asked.
"Better."
"Always good to be better," she said brightly.
"Then you won't have to look after me," he said coldly.
"Angel, I-" she cut herself off.
"You what?" he prompted.
"Umm... Scott broke up with me," she gushed.
"Oh. Are you okay?" He had concern written all over his face.
"I'm dealing." She looked at him sadly. "I still love you."
"No you don't," a cold voice answered.
"Angel," she started and walked over to him, "yes I do. I never stopped.
I couldn't save the world and you!" She finished in sobs. She felt a strong
pair of arms wrap around her.
"Shhh. Buffy, it's okay. I know all about Athalca and Hell, but I didn't think
you could love a monster."
"You're not a monster. Monsters I kill," she quipped quietly. He chuckled
softly.
"You're too good for me," he sighed.
"Who says?" She turned and looked into his eyes. "You?"
"I guess just me," he said sadly and sat back down, taking his arms from
her. She regarded him sadly, then joined him on the couch. Buffy took his hand in
her own and looked into his brown eyes again.
"You're right," she said, "just you."
"I guess you're right," he replied coyly.
