The Big Thing That Happened

Buffy, Willow, Xander and Riley were standing around. Waiting.

"Buffy, you said that because it was the millenium, something big would happen!" Willow complained. "But so far, nothing!"

Buffy pointed at Xander. "Hey, I didn't say it. He did."

Xander snorted in disgust. "Riley told me so."

The gang looked accusingly at Riley, who giggled sheepishly.

"Heh, heh," he muttered.

"Well, as long as nothing is happening which is not of the norm," Buffy said "Maybe we could create our own fun."

Once again, everyone looked at Riley.

"Well, I'm all for it," Xander laughed.

Riley gasped as the others closed in around him, laughing mockingly.

It looked like this was the end for Riley.

But then.......

Well, nothing really happened. Midnight came, the millenium was upon the world and the whole world exploded.

But just so you Buffy devotees don't get upset, let's say Buffy and Angel survived the explosion and lived happily ever after while living on a meteorite headed for nowhere.

And I think that qualifies as a big thing, don't you???

Oh, and Riley died and went to hell where Spike and Dru tortured him for the rest of eternity.

See, this story does have a happy ending.
