"I still don't get why we have to go!" argued Xander.

"Because, Xand, you'd miss out on all the fun!" exclaimed Buffy, who was in the process of loading luggage into Giles's rented van. They were all on their way to LAX which would take them to Port Charles, New York. The Slayer, Watcher, Slayerettes, and the token vampire were going there for one reason: to find out why Spike had decided to go there of all places and take care of him.

"Xander, shut up, put your stuff in the car, and lets get going before the sun rises," Angel said. Angel was getting very annoyed with the boy.

"And we wouldn't want that, would we, Dead Boy!?" sneered Xander.

"Would you guys please shut up!" the usually quiet Willow yelled. "We gotta get going, our plane leaves in like an hour."

"Yeah," chimed in Oz, Willow's werewolf boyfriend. Fortunately for Oz, they were going to Port Charles during the beginning of the month, which meant that he wouldn't have to worry about the full moon. With a sigh Buffy loaded the last of her luggage into Giles's already sagging trunk of his rented van and climbed in next to Angel. Willow and Oz climbed in back, and Xander sat in the front with Giles. They had one last stop, and that was to pick up Cordelia. They all feared this, mainly because they all knew how Cordelia packed. All the teens had told their parents that they were going to New York for a history field trip, mainly going to see New York's Museum of Natural History. But Cordelia believed in being prepared for everything so when they did pull up to her house, they all were a bit surprised to see she had only brought two suitcases.

"Cordy, what happened? I thought you'd have brought your whole closet!" Xander said as he greeted his girlfriend with a kiss.

"No way!" she exclaimed. "I would have brought more if we WERE going to New York City, but we're only going to a rinky-dink small town that, from what I've heard, is no better than Sunnydale!"

"Yeah, you've got that right," said Buffy with a sigh. "It seems that wherever I go, there's always vampires."

"Well, they must like you," said Angel with a grin.

"Yes, they must," replied Buffy before giving her vampire boyfriend a kiss on the cheek. Xander rolled his eyes as he climbed back in next to Giles in the front.
Cordelia, after putting her suitcases in the trunk, climbed in next to Willow. Giles pulled out of Cordy's driveway, and they were soon on their way to LAX, which would bring them to the newly vampire ridden town of Port Charles.

Amazingly, the ride to the airport was fairly peaceful. Buffy and Angel, who were sitting next to each other, just snuggled and discussed what they could do in Port
Charles, after slaying was done. Willow and Oz also sat together, making small talk about Oz's band, Dingoes Ate My Baby. Since Cordelia and Xander had to be separated, due to lack of seats in the back, Cordelia tried to paint her nails, and Xander who was in front fought with Giles over the radio station. Giles wanted oldies while Xander wanted country. They had finally agreed on a radio station just as they pulled into the airport around nine o'clock.

The gang wearily got out of the van and each removed their own luggage from the trunk. They went inside to find their terminal while Giles took care of parking the van. "Ok, does everyone have their tickets?" the very responsible Willow asked. They all nodded after checking their pockets and purses. Angel was kind of nervous to be flying on a plane, seeing as he'd never been on one before. Also, it was amazing to him that after 240 years humans had finally discovered the secret of flying, well, sort of.

As if she could read his mind, Buffy asked, "So are you nervous, Angel?"

He smiled, "Yeah," he said. Xander gave him an odd look that was followed by a swat to his arm by Cordy who had seen it. Willow and Oz rolled their eyes. Angel and Buffy didn't even notice it. Finally Giles came in and found them.

"So are we ready?" Giles asked.

"Yes," was the simultaneous response. The plane had just begun to board, so the troop marched up to the flight attendance desk, gave them their tickets and boarded the plane. Once they all found their seats, and the plane had taken off, they all fell asleep. Even Angel, who slept just to pass time. None of them woke until they were over New York, getting ready to land.

The plane landed in Port Charles at around 2:30 in the morning for them, which was about 5:30 New York time. They had just enough time to get their bags and check into the Port Charles Hotel. "Wow, this is a pretty snazzy place," Xander piped up after seeing the inside of the seemingly four star hotel.

"Yeah," Angel had to agree. Willow and Oz nodded also in agreement. Buffy just looked around at her surroundings. Giles was busy getting the room keys and Cordelia was fumbling with her purse. Xander was about to crack a joke about Cordelia just as Giles came back.

"Here you go," he said as he handed to each person in turn a room key. Angel and Buffy were sharing a room, and so were Willow and Cordelia. Oz and Xander agreed to share a room, and Giles was on his own. He had hoped for Jenny Calendar to come too, but she had declined, saying she had business to take care of.

An exhausted Angel and Buffy plopped down on the king size bed in their hotel room. "God, I'm so tired," Buffy said with a yawn.

"I am too," replied Angel. They both changed into their respective pajamas--Buffy in a Victoria's Secret two piece, Angel in sweatpants and a t-shirt--, and climbed into bedwhere they both fell asleep in each other's arms.

Willow and Oz had also plopped themselves down. Only it was Oz on the bed and Willow on the couch in front of the TV. At Willow's request they had a room with two double beds. Willow didn't think she was ready to share a bed, out of fear of not knowing what would come of that. Oz had agreed, he would never rush Willow. After watching some early program on TV, they had caught a few hours of sleep. Cordelia had also wanted a room with two beds, Xander hadn't protested, he wasn't sure if he could sleep next to Cordy. They too had watched some TV before going to bed. Giles had ordered a cup of tea before catching some z's himself.

********************

Early the next morning, well not too early, the gang had trudged downstairs for a quick breakfast. Then after getting dressed they, as Buffy had put it, "Were ready
to explore, with a little work on the side." Angel, of course, had to stay in the hotel room, since he couldn't go out in the sunlight. He didn't mind, he planned on sleeping and if he couldn't there was always the TV.

"Ok Giles, where do we go first?" inquired Buffy.

"Well let's stop at the police department," he suggested. "That way we can see how many deaths there have been recently."

"Good idea Giles. Ok, so we're all gonna go to the doughnut guys and see what's been cooking," Xander put in. The rest of them smiled and rolled their eyes. Xander shrugged. Giles seemed to know where the PD was, so that was where they started.

"Can I help you?" a bald, good looking man asked them.

"Yes," replied Giles, "we're looking into some recent deaths you've had here."

"Ah, and who are you again?" the detective asked.

"I'm Rupert Giles, we sort of specialize in this kind of thing," Giles replied.

"Ah, ok, I'm Detective Taggert. Yes, we've had a rash of deaths lately. Mainly it seems that the victims had been drained of blood, although there is no wound except for two small puncture marks on the neck."

"Ah yes, I see," Giles said. "Is there anything else, such as where they've taken place, and when?" he asked.

Taggert thought for a moment and replied, "Well we're not sure when exactly, we only know they take place at night, as for where, they've been all over, mostly though at the docks."

"I see, thank you for your time," Giles said. He and the rest of the kids walked out of the police office. They were done there. "Well now it's up to you, Buff," Giles said, Buffy just sighed and nodded.

Since there wasn't much else they could do at the police station, they decided to do one last stop at the hospital, since that was where the bodies had come in. Giles
also seemed to know where General Hospital was so that's where they went. After going to the second floor they finally found the nurses station. "May I help you?" a blond haired woman asked.

"Yes, I'm looking for a doctor on this floor," Giles replied. Buffy, Willow, Oz, and Cordelia shrugged. They were a little perplexed as to how Giles knew where
everything was and what to do. Xander hadn't noticed, Cordelia followed his gaze to a girl who was waiting in a chair. She looked to be about fifteen or sixteen. Cordelia was about to get jealous, when it hit her that Xander probably wasn't interested in her, seeing as he'd always preferred women his own age.

"Do you know her?" Cordelia asked.

"Huh?" Xander stated. "Oh, no, I just noticed her because she looks.... oh I don't know, sad I guess."

Cordelia took a closer look, the girl did appear to be kinda down. Buffy noticed that Xander and Cordy were staring at something. She looked and she too saw the girl. Buffy, however was not too shy to go up and talk to her. Xander and Cordy, and then Oz and Willow who had noticed her departure from Giles, who was still talking to the nurse. They all watched as Buffy made her way to the girl seated in the chair. "Hey, I'm Buffy Summers, we're (she pointed to the group) visiting here. You looked kind of lonely, what's your name?" Buffy asked. The girl looked up, surprised to be confronted by this pretty older girl, Buffy.

"I'm Liz Webber," she said. "I guess I'm lonely looking because my friend, Emily, died last night. Liz then began to cry. Buffy looked back at the group who sauntered over.

"It's okay," Buffy said. "Go ahead and cry, it's okay to cry." Liz stopped and dried her eyes.

"Who are you?" she asked after noticing the rest of them had joined her and Buffy.

Xander took control, "I'm Xander Harris, that's my pal, Willow Rosenberg. Over there is her boyfriend, Oz, and next to me is my girlfriend, Cordelia Chase. I take it you already met Buffy."

Liz smiled, "I have a boyfriend too, he should be here any second. You should meet him."

Buffy smiled, "I'm sure we will." As if on cue the elevator door opened and a boy who also looked to be about fifteen stepped out. He smiled when he saw Liz, but stopped when he saw the others around her. "Hey, what's going on?" he asked. Then he noticed Liz's red eyes, "Are you okay, Elizabeth?"

"Lucky, yeah I'm fine. I just met these people over here, they're visiting PC. That's Xander Harris, Cordelia Chase, Willow Rosenberg, Oz, and Buffy Summers," Liz said, introducing them.

"Hey, I'm Lucky Spencer," he said.

"Lucky? Is that true?" Buffy asked.

Lucky smiled, "Yeah, I think it's true," he said smiling at Liz. Xander rolled his eyes. Just then Giles came over.

"Oh hello, I see you've introduced yourselves without me," Giles said as he glared at the group.

"Giles, chill, this is Lucky Spencer and Liz Webber. Apparently their friend died recently, we wanted to see if we could help," Buffy replied. She looked at Giles as if to say, "I bet I know how this friend died."

After making small talk for a little bit more, the gang decided to go for lunch, then since vamps didn't come out till night, they would catch a movie. "Hey, do you know of a good place to eat lunch around here?" Buffy asked Liz.

"Yeah, I work at this place called Kelly's, it's pretty good, everyone eats there," she replied.

"Ok, thanks, I think we can find it," Cordelia said. They Slayer, Watcher, and Slayerettes headed out and for the elevator.

"How did you meet them?" Lucky asked Liz.

"It was kinda weird, actually, I was sitting here waiting for you, and I guess I must of been thinking about Emily, because that girl, Buffy, came over and asked why I looked so sad," she said. "We just started talking."

***************

After a satisfying lunch at Kelly's Buffy, Giles, Xander, Cordelia, Willow, and Oz went to the local movie theater and after much debate decided to see I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, seeing as the horror genre didn't scare anyone. Even Willow didn't mind, because after living on the Hellmouth and seeing Buffy slay demons she had previously thought were myth, a murderer with a hook didn't bug her. Oz was a werewolf and pretty much nothing scared him, it was a residual canine thing. Cordelia hadn't before liked horror films, but like Willow, she'd been on the Hellmouth too long. Xander lived for horror films and Buffy who had slayed things that had been in movies like this, was happy to watch somebody else have to be the good guy for once. Giles just gave in, because he knew he'd never convince the teens to see Waking Ned Devine with him.

"That movie sucked, you guys," Buffy stated simply after the movie was over. They all agreed.

"I can't believe I let you talk me into seeing it!" Giles practically yelled. After everyone calmed down, they realized it was 6:00, and the sun was almost down. Buffy reminded everyone that she had to go meet Angel at the hotel, and that they were gonna patrol a little and see what they could find. The rest of them were going to go out to eat, then do a little more research. Buffy happily headed off in the direction of the hotel, while Giles led the others behind her, the hotel apparently was the fanciest restaurant in the town.

Buffy let herself into her room with her key. When she walked in she saw Angel was already dressed. "Hey, lover," she said lowly creeping up behind him. Angel, who was sitting on the sofa, looked and smiled as he always did when he was around Buffy. Buffy was his source of happiness, and everything was better when she was with him.

"Are you ready?" he asked. Buffy sat down next to her boyfriend and put her arms around him.

"Yeah, whenever you wanna go....check out the quality of the graveyard," she said smiling against his silky black shirt.

Angel laughed, then he grew serious, "You sure there's nothing urgent here, I mean any leads or clues we should really check on?"

"No, not really. The police here are almost as stupid as the ones in Sunnydale. All they know is the victims are drained of their blood from two holes on their necks. We know that, duh. Oh, and they think a few of them occurred on the docks, but I figure it's always good to check with the graveyard, don't you?" Angel looked down at her, and wordlessly agreed by kissing her softly. After a few minutes the two lovers got up and headed towards the Port Charles cemetery.

With the Watcher and Slayerettes at the PC Hotel eating dinner, the Slayer and vampire headed out on their mission. Angel found the cemetery first, so they decided
to patrol there. They wandered around a little bit, trying to familiarize themselves with the layout of the graveyard. Buffy giggles after a few moments. "What?" asked Angel.

"It just reminds me of good old Sunnydale, that's all," Buffy replied.

"Oh really? How?" Angel asked.

"Well let's see, there's all the graves, the trees look the same, and of course there's you.." she said with a smile. Angel returned the smile before softly leaning down for a kiss, which turned into a make out session that lasted a long while into the night.

Meanwhile, while Buffy and Angel were at the cemetery, Robin Scorpio was walking along the docks waiting for her boyfriend, Jason Morgan. Robin didn't have
any fears on hold, until she heard a rustling sound from some boxes in front of a storage space. "Who's there?" she called out timidly. She didn't hear a reply. "It must be the wind, or something," Robin told herself. It was a still night in Port Charles, even by the docks. Robin continued walking, when she heard footsteps behind her. Robin, now more scared than ever began to walk very quickly. The footsteps behind her continued following. "Leave me alone! My boyfriend's going to be here real soon and he'll kick your ass!" Robin screamed out in vain. The footsteps behind her quickened and Robin broke out into a run. She didn't get a
chance to go far, before a man with bleached blonde hair and a strange resemblance to Billy Idol grabbed her. Robin screamed. The man grabbed her neck and sank his fangs into her neck and began to feed. When she was dead he let her body fall to the ground.

"Spikey, you didn't save me any," a woman said as she stepped out of the shadows. "I'm sorry, love. We'll find you someone else. But Dru, darling, doesn't this piss ant little town remind you a bit of Sunnyhell?" Spike questioned as he began to grope Drusilla.

"Oh yes, Spikey, and you know what? Angel and the Slayer are here too!" she cackled into the night.

***********************

Jason Morgan hurried quickly down the docks. He was very late to meet his girlfriend, Robin. He reached the docks and began looking. He didn't see anyone and he started silently cursing himself for being so late. He was about to go to a pay phone and call the penthouse, when he noticed what looked like a body lying on the boardwalk. He walked closer and when he saw who it was he sank to his knees beside the body and began to sob. After he was done feeling sad, he felt angry. "Whoever did this is gonna pay," he thought. He carefully picked up his dead girlfriend's body and carried her over to the PCPD.

Back in the graveyard Angel and Buffy were still making out when they heard a rustle in the bushes. "What is that?" Buffy asked.

"I have no clue," Angel replied as he pulled away and began to look.

"Hello my Angel," a female voice said as she stepped out from behind a grave.

"Dru, what the hell are you doing here?" he asked with a growl.

Buffy stepped over behind him and hissed, "Where's Spike?"

Dru just giggled and said, "I don't know where my Spikey is, but I do know he already ate!"

Angel looked at Buffy with an anxious look in his eyes, "If he already fed, that means that they weren't here, so there's someone dead tonight!" Buffy looked at him and with a sinking feeling realized that someone was dead, and because she and Angel decided to stay put in the graveyard instead of searching where they should of in the first place, the docks. Angel immediately sensed Buffy's guilt and he instinctively reached over to hug her. "Don't blame yourself, Buff, we couldn't have known, and we decided this is where we were going to patrol. There was very little chance of us preventing this," he said soothingly into her ear. Buffy looked at him, with a tear sliding down her face. Angel wanted so much to do anything to make her happy. The little Slayer curled herself further into Angel's big leather jacket. Drusilla had long since smirked and went back to wherever it was where she and Spike were staying. Buffy finally convinced herself there was nothing more to do that night, and she and Angel headed back to the hotel, fully intent on taking care of Spike and Drusilla the next night.

***********

At Lucky's apartment on top of the bike garage where Jason Morgan worked, he and Liz were doing things other than helping Liz prepare for finals, like they should have been doing. Instead they gazed at each other with puppy dog eyes, fully aware that at any moment Liz could collapse in a fit of giggles. "So, what did you think about those older kids that were talking to me at GH today?" Liz finally asked.

"I don't know, I mean that blonde chick was kinda cute and all..." Lucky was stopped by a hit in the face with a pillow. "You didn't let me finish!" Lucky said. "Yes, she was cute, but only you are beautiful to me." Liz looked at him and smiled that big smile of hers. "Anyway, what was up with them? I mean, why did they come up to you?" Lucky asked.

"I don't know, I guess they saw that I was crying over Emily.." Liz began to tear up again at the mention of the loss of her best girl friend. Lucky instinctively reached over and held her in a warm embrace. "I don't know what was up with them Lucky, but I wanna find out more, if they know anything about what happened to Em, I wanna know," Liz said. Lucky just held her tighter.

At the PC Hotel, Cordelia was busy trying to make up excuses for her and Xander to go back to their room and "organize our stuff in the closets." Of course, Willow and Oz knew what they really wanted to do, and Giles was occupied trying to get his mind off of how much their gourmet meals had cost. They were in the lobby, Willow and Oz sharing smoochies and Xander and Cordelia devising a plan for what they could do that evening in the hotel room, when Buffy and Angel walked in. "Hey...." Willow started, when she noticed the dejected look in Buffy's eyes. "What happened?" the hacker started again.

"We patrolled in the wrong place," Angel said. "While we were in the graveyard Spike apparently had his evening meal on the docks, and Buffy's blaming herself." Giles finally looked up.

"Well, I guess we try and find out where they're holed up," the librarian said. Buffy nodded and the eight trudged into the elevator, anxious to get to their rooms, for their own personal reasons.

Oz and Willow made it into their room, before a giggling Willow and a playful Oz collapsed on the couch and promptly began to make out. They both figured afterwards they would watch something on the tube and go to bed. As promised, Cordelia and Xander locked themselves in the closet of the room they shared and began their own groping/make-out session.

Buffy walked into the room, and headed for the bathroom, intent on taking a long, hot shower. Angel sighed as she locked herself in, and sat down on the couch casually flipping the channels. He couldn't figure out why she blamed herself, in Sunnydale, countless people had died, not because of her, but because she was only one person. He figured she felt bad because Port Charles was not a hellmouth, and she felt she should be able to control the vampire population. Angel gave up on the TV and flopped onto the bed. He knew nothing much would be happening tonight. He climbed under the covers and began reading the Latin book he had borrowed from Giles before they left. Soon afterward Buffy emerged from the bathroom wrapped in a towel. She let the towel fall however as she pulled on Angel's boxers and T-shirt that she slept in, giving Angel a full view of her lean body before covering it up again. She climbed in bed next to him, curled herself into his broad chest and let herself fall asleep. Angel quietly put down his book, kissed her goodnight and turned off the light, letting sleep claim him as well. Tomorrow, he decided, they would take care of Port Charles' Spike problem, once and for all.

***************

The next morning the seven, Buffy, Giles, Xander, Willow, Cordelia, and Oz headed down to the PC Hotel's main dining room for breakfast. Of course Angel wasn't with them, he had already eaten and was fast asleep in the room he and Buffy shared. After the Scooby
Gang had eaten their full of eggs, bacon, toast, and bagels they tried to decide what they could do that afternoon, before it was time for Buffy to kick Spike's ass. Xander wanted to see another movie, this time his choice was The Faculty. The others had declined, it looked dumb, and after I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, they rest of them didn't want to have to sit through another horror movie. Cordelia didn't mind the movies, but she wanted to see Meet Joe Black at the local dollar show. Buffy had refused, seeing as she had already seen the movie, and it was incredibly dull and boring. They finally decided to just explore the town. They started at the diner they had eaten at the day before, Kelly's. To their surprise they ran into the teenage couple from the hospital, Lucky and Liz.

"Hey guys, do you remember us?" the 'oh so bold' Buffy asked. Lucky looked up from the fries he was eating.

"Oh hey, yeah sure we remember you," Lucky said. He looked again at Buffy and saw her obviously strong, but petite body and felt his hormones race. He looked at Liz to reclaim his lust for her only. Liz smiled at how Lucky was trying so hard not to show that he thought the blonde chick was cute. Liz happened to be struggling with her own hormones, she thought very highly of the red-head's boyfriend, Oz. That boy is a keeper she thought silently to Oz's girlfriend, Willow. Buffy had seen how Liz stared at Oz, to boost her and Angel's ego, she thought to herself, if she thinks he's cute, I wanna know what she'll think of my guy.

After a few moments of silence Liz finally spoke, "You remember how I said my friend Emily died?" Buffy nodded. "Well, I overheard some things, I want to know what you know, don't tell me you don't know anything, because I know you know something." Lucky stared at her, he had never heard her be so bold.

Buffy inhaled sharply and then after a pause answered, "All we know is that she was murdered, we can't tell you who did it, but the....person who did it, is a serial killer." Liz looked dumbfounded, Lucky just looked shocked. Giles, who had been sitting at a table with a cup of tea, had overheard Buffy's half truth, and smiled to himself. Buffy knew how to handle a situation quite well.

After the group had left Kelly's, Lucky promised Liz that if they saw them again, they would follow them. He had a hunch they knew a lot more than were telling.

After Kelly's Cordy convinced them all to go to the local mall. It wasn't a huge, complex mall, but the town of Port Charles did have a mall that was Cordelia worthy. Inside Buffy and Cordy scampered off happily into J. Crew, while Oz and Willow wandered off to Record Town. Xander, left by his lonesome, went off to the food court, while Giles went into a jewelry store, intent on buying a gift for Jenny when they got home.

In J. Crew, Cordy and Buffy acted like life-long best friends, as they eagerly tried on new outfits and exchanged fashion advice, it was one of the few things the two had in common. Buffy had just emerged from a dressing room in a loose, gray skirt and sleeveless sweater. It was very un-Buffy, but it did look good on her. Cordelia immediately after seeing her pointed to cash register, signaling that she should buy it. Buffy took the hint, and after changing back into her regular clothes, went to go stand in line. Cordelia, didn't find much that she wanted, but she did spot a pair of shoes, that she liked, so Cordy went and stood in line with Buffy. The two girls were in heaven.

Meanwhile in Record Town, Willow had wondered off intent on buying the 80's group, The Police, greatest hits album. Oz bought a Jimmy Page CD, he liked comparing his own guitar skills to that of the great Jimmy Page. After the lovebirds had paid for the purchases, they went off to join Xander in the Food Court.

Buffy and Cordelia also managed to drag themselves away from an accessories store, to meet up with the rest of the gang in the Food Court, where they found Xander happily munching away on nachos. Buffy and Willow both ordered lemonades to drink, while Cordelia ordered a smoothie. Oz settled with a coke, and Giles, after he had found them, bag in hand, ordered a cup of tea. The day had been pretty fun, but each of them was aware of how soon the sun would be setting, and that meant it would be time to get down to business.

***********

Finally it was sundown, Buffy and the rest of the Scooby gang headed back to the hotel to meet up with Angel. It was decided that Buffy and Angel would go to the docks, because they believed that Drusilla and Spike might be held up there. The rest of them would go to the cemetery to take care of any newly risen vampires that may be there.

Buffy headed up to her and Angel's room and burst in. She was on a mission. Much to her relief she found Angel already dressed and ready to go. As a matter of fact, he had been ready to head down to the lobby to wait for her. The two exchanged a quick kiss of good luck and headed downstairs and out of the hotel. Spike was going down.

Hand in hand, Buffy and Angel walked to the docks, what they didn't know was that someone had seen them, and was following them. They had passed Kelly's and were spotted by Lucky and Liz. "Well there's that Buffy girl, who's that with her?" Lucky asked.

"I don't know," said Liz, "But he sure is hot!" Lucky glared at her and she giggled. They kept their promise to each other and began to follow Buffy and the guy she was with. It had not escaped either one of them that the two were holding hands.

"Well, Angel, we're almost there. My so-called Slayer sense is not working, so you think that they're here?" Buffy asked Angel, referring to Spike and Dru.

"No, I don't feel anything yet, either," Angel replied. The finally reached the docks, and began to look around. They managed to separate for this. Suddenly out of nowhere a vampire sprung on top of Buffy. "Buff, you got him?" Angel asked, making sure she could hold her own.

"Angel, I'm the damn Slayer, of course I got him!" Buffy replied, after thrusting a stake into the vamp's heart. She watched with a satisfied look on her face as the creature crumbled into ash.

Lucky and Liz had witnessed, and heard everything. Liz was about to scream, when Lucky shushed her. He stood up from behind the box he and Liz were crouching under. He spoke loudly in the direction of Buffy.

"Is that the thing that killed our friend, Emily?" he said in a clear, defiant voice. Buffy spun on her heels, so did Angel.

"Buffy, do you know him?" Angel asked with a significant note of worry in his voice.

"Well, yeah, sort of, we met yesterday," Buffy replied, worriedly.

"Well, Liz and I didn't really mean to follow you, but we think you know more about our friend, Emily's death, than you're telling," Lucky said, motioning to Liz who had stood up and now stood next to him.

"And who are you?" Liz asked Angel.

Angel looked at Buffy, for help. "Tell them Angel, they already saw more than they should have, they need to know otherwise we won't be the only ones who know my, uh, job," Buffy said, rather angrily that the two kids had followed her and Angel.

"Well I'll start from the beginning," Angel said. "You see, the, uh, guy you saw Buffy, uh, kill, was not a human."

"Yeah, we figured as much," Lucky said, impatiently. Angel glared at the boy, who reminded him way too much of Xander.

"Anyway, he is, er, was a vampire. Yeah, vampires, they're real, oh, yeah, the most important thing, I'm one too." Angel left it at that.

"So, okay, are you guys like, evil, or something?" Liz asked. "I don't quite follow," she said.

"See, Angel, here, is a little cryptic. I am a Vampire Slayer, and Angel, is well, a "good" vampire. He has a human soul, unlike most vamps, who are, well, evil," she said bluntly.

"So let me get this straight, you are some sort of super chic, that has to kill the evil vamps, but yet, you're dating a supposed good vampire?" Liz asked. Lucky stared at her, even he hadn't gotten that much out of the two's cryptic messages.

"Yeah, pretty much, see Angel he's good, and the proof is that he didn't kill you when he first saw you," Buffy said, she was rather pissed that these two kids were the ones that broke her secrecy.

"So is that why you're here now, to kill vampires?" Lucky asked.

"Well, kind of, we live in Sunnydale, and we usually just stick to the vamp problem there, but here in your little town, the problem got big enough where we had to step in. You see, there's only one of me to go around, so I can't kill all vampires everywhere," Buffy rushed on, interrupting the angry look Lucky had on his face, after hearing she only stuck mainly to one town.

"In answer to your question, yes, a vampire probably did kill your friend," Angel said.

"The same one you just killed?" Lucky asked.

"From the looks of it, I'd say there a lot more vampires, not just one, Lucky," Liz said. She couldn't believe how dense Lucky was being.

"Yeah, your girlfriend is right, there are thousands, maybe millions of vamps in the world. There's only one of me," Buffy said. She then turned around, and she saw what she and Angel had come to the docks for. She anxiously looked at Angel, who knew exactly what she meant. They needed to get the kids outta there, and make sure they would keep their mouths shut. Angel smiled lowly, and bent down and kissed Buffy. Buffy immediately knew what he was driving at, and deepened their kiss. Lucky cleared his throat at the sudden display of affection between the blonde and her vampire boyfriend.

"I, uh, guess we'll be going now. Don't worry, we can tell this whole vampire and slayer's thing is supposed to be a secret. We won't tell," Lucky stated before Liz and him walked back to his apartment. It was a long night, and Lucky had to be sure this wasn't all a dream.

After they had left, Buffy stopped their kiss, and sighed. "Damn kids," she said. Angel laughed. "Oh, Angel, if you look over your shoulder to the right, you will see in that window, a note," Buffy said, her voice thin. Angel looked, and in a sloppy scrawl was a note from Spike:
Slayer,
I am so deeply anguished to tell you that Dru and I have decided we like Sunnyhell a hell of a lot better than this piss ant town. I mean, c'mon, wherever we go, you and that poor excuse for a demon, boyfriend of yours, are going to be there, no matter where we go.

See you in Hell!

Spike

Angel sighed, so Spike was back home. That meant that their trip would have to be cut short and they would have to leave Port Charles the next night. Angel put an arm around Buffy and the two walked back to the graveyard to inform the rest of the gang that Spike was no longer in New York.

There they found a battle being waged. Spike had apparently left New York a present, and Willow, Oz, Xander, and Cordelia were all trying to cope with it. Giles had given up fighting, and was holding off vampires with a cross and a large vile of holy water. Wordlessly, Angel and Buffy began to help and staked a few of the newly risen vamps, one who was formerly Jason Morgan. Suddenly out of nowhere a vamp toppled Willow, pinning her to the ground. She screamed. Cordelia screamed. Xander stared in shock as the vampire's fangs neared her throat. Angel and Buffy lunged for her, but were quickly restrained by four large vamps. Suddenly, with before unseen speed, Oz let out an inhuman growl, much like Angel's and charged the vamp on top of Willow.

The vamp never even knew what hit him, as just before he was about to sink his fangs into Willow's neck, he was suddenly pinned on the ground by Oz, but only for a few seconds before Oz drove his stake home. The vamp exploded into ash underneath him, and he quickly ran to Willow. "Are you okay?" he asked, worry apparent in his voice. Willow sat up shakily, as Cordy and Xander rushed to her side.

"Yeah, I'm okay," she said.

"You saved me. Again," she said staring directly at Oz. Oz blushed as he hugged her closer to him.

"I could never let anyone or anything hurt you, they'd...it would have to get through me first," Oz whispered in her ear. Angel and Buffy had quickly eliminated the few vamps who had remained after the lot of them left after seeing what the humans were capable of.

The Scooby Gang wearily trudged back to their hotel. Cordy and Xander went to their rooms, exhausted, each took a separate shower, and went to bed. Angel and Buffy also took a shower in their room, but it was together. Giles, too exhausted to move, fell asleep, clothes and all on his bed.

Back in Willow and Oz's room, Willow had taken a shower and emerged. She sank down onto the bed, next to Oz and put her head on his shoulder. "I owe you my life, not once, but twice now," she whispered. Oz simply kissed her head, and held her. Suddenly Willow looked up, she knew exactly what she wanted. She was under no pressure, only her heart...and her hormones told her what to do. She released herself from Oz's arms, and wrapping her arms around his neck, kissed him, deeply. Oz, too surprised to say anything, kissed her back. Willow guided Oz's form down on the bed. Oz stopped, suddenly aware of what she wanted.

"Are you sure?" he asked her. He would give her any out she needed if she wasn't ready. Willow nodded. That night in Port Charles was magical for them, it was the night they kicked it for the first time, a night they would always remember.

********************

The next day passed rather quickly, and soon the entire gang found themselves loading their luggage into several taxis, on their way to the airport. It was time to go home. After a long flight back to LA, they managed to get all of their stuff, and themselves back to their respective homes. Buffy's mom was in San Diego on business, she thought that Buffy wouldn't be home for another two days. So Buffy took advantage of a good opportunity and elected to stay with Angel. Giles dropped everyone off at their homes, and by 5:30 the next morning he managed to get the rented van back to the rental place and get himself home. "Thank God tomorrow's Saturday," Giles muttered to himself, before going to bed. They were home.

The End!

Author's Note: Okay, like I said, this in no way relates to the way the show is going now. This was how I wished it could be. No, Oz and Willow won't do it for a long time to come, but it's a story, go with it. On the soap General Hospital, the characters I killed off, Emily, Robin, and Jason, are all alive and well. Don't sue.
