Betsy Ewing Richland moved to New York City to go to college and become a lawyer. While in law school, she met her future husband David. After finishing, they married and opened a firm. “Ewing and Richland” has become quite the successful corporate law firm in New York City, the name Ewing has come in handy more than once. The firm handles almost all of Ewing Enterprises legal issues, the exceptions being John Ross’s often-underhanded dealings. Betsy enjoys a great relationship with her family. David’s family is a totally different story.

David Richland moved to New York to become a success in the legal profession. While attending law school, he met a young Betsy Ewing. He liked her, but was afraid to ask her out because of the Ewing name. They fell in love and were married, without his parent’s blessings. He works very hard at their marriage and their professional relationship as well. The work pays off a great deal; they are extremely fortunate at both.
