Jen thought it was “fluff”. Dawson explains how it’s supposed to be naive. Jen says it just lacks relevance to today’s society. It lacks that raw dark pain that comes with being young. “I am raw and dark!” Jen laughs. “In theory maybe”. He just lacks the proof to back that up. “Do I need to take a gun to school? Kill my parents ion their sleep?” Jen wants to teach him “Teenage 101”, and reclaim his teenage years.

Andie says no. “Winning will be our best revenge.” “She won my vote a few bumper stickers ago.”
Jen wants to help Dawson regress into his teenage years. Dawson declines. Jen has to win her point. She tells him to remember when he was ten and he swiped that candy bar he wanted. He never did that. Jen gives him a lip stick to steal. They walk out the door. Jen is excited. Dawson says he’s on a natural high. She asks for the lip stick. He won’t give it back. He risked incarceration, it’s his. Jen finds out he put it back. Dawson doesn’t see what’s wrong with being mature. “There are reasons we go from infancy to old age.”
All the candidates, Chris, Abby, Andie, Joey, Kenny and his mate are addressing the school. Andie’s mother’s personal life is exposed by Abby. Abby says that her mother was responsible for the death of her brother. “Mommy McPhee is a wacked out nut, and we all know mental illness is hereditary.” A teacher stops Abby. Everyone in the school looks at Andie, as she cries then runs off after trying to speak. Pacey runs after her.

The only happy families are on TV syndication.” Andie calms down a bit, but then throws a book at the mirror, breaking it.
Dawson drops by Mitch’s. Dawson tells him he saw for himself. Mitch says it was a slip and it won’t happen again. There will be no reconciliation.
Dawson tells Jen that his emotions are not evolved. He needs to change his actions to change his feelings. He thinks he needs a sponsor. He will follow her lead.

Jen doesn’t want the kiss, she wants to keep their friendship up.
Abby and Chris are addressing the school on the PA. Andie and Joey are next. Andie can’t speak, then runs off, Joey following after her. Pacey sits down by the mic and asks Abby casually why she’s working with Chris. She’s just using him for his popularity, then she’ll dump him and own this school, and everyone’s too stupid to stop her. Pacey understands. “You’re probably right. I mean, I’m so stupid that I didn’t know when I pressed this button on this little thing, that your annoying nasal wine was broadcasted over this entire school. Oh no, god, wait a minute. No, it’s exactly what I ment to do. Sorry. My bad.” He walks out and tells’s Kenny the school’s his.
Dawson gets home to see his mom baking and cleaning. Dawson comes across divorce papers. Mitch had her served this morning.
Joey closes up the Icehouse and Jack offers to walk her home. He owes her an apology. He had to protect the family. He’s the rock. She says that just sitting with someone helps, and if it got real bad, they’d hold hands. Joey reaches for his hand and holds it.
Pacey calls Andie. She says she’s feeling better. She takes some prescribed pills as she cries.
Dawson enters Jen’s kitchen and tells her the news. He needs to talk. He knew it was over, he just kept hoping. He doesn’t know to let his head or his heart win this battle. He leans over and cries on her shoulder. He thanks her.
