We have a magnetic tissue just behind our noses. According to experiments, blindfolded people when taken to an unfamiliar place are likely to find their way home compared to those not blindfolded.

These tiny creatures known as mites live in our oil glands and hair follicles of human skin. They are 0.004 inches long and they feed on dead skin cells. Don’t you feel disgusted thinking about animals crawling in your eyelashes.

Our bones contain the mineral calcium, making them hard and collagen which gives them extra strength. Hence, our bones are four times stronger than concrete!!

Cholesterol is the main culprit of heart attack, however, it is also a vital nutrient for the body. For instant, it is essential for the formation of bile salts, vitamin D, hormones and maintaining mechanical stability of cell membranes and waterproofing. Actually, consuming cholesterol does not increase your cholesterol level as it will slow down the activity of the enzyme catalyzing the production of cholesterol in the liver. However, consuming unsaturated fats will cause the liver to turn these fats to cholesterol. Thus, if u want to reduce your risk of heart attack, cut down on your unsaturated fats instead.

Up to the age of 6 or 7 months a child can breathe and swallow at the same time. An adult cannot do this. (Try it =p)


A survey conducted at lowa State College in 1969 suggests that a parent's stress at the time of conception plays a major role in determining a baby's sex. The child tends to be of the same sex as the parent who is under less stress.


Every yr some 8,000 infants in US die from a mysterious aliment know as Sudden Infant Death Syndrome(SIDS), or crib death. Most of these children have been put to beds hours before their death, seemingly in perfect health. All die without a trace of struggle. As yet no one has been able to explain the cause of these deaths.


One cannot catch cold, contract flu or any diseases spreaded by germs and virusesin North Pole. The winter temperature is too low for these micro-organisms to survive.


A condition known as hypertrophy(enlargement) of the tongue can sometimes reach such extremes that the tongue becomes too large for the mouth and protrudes over the chin, reaching down as far as the chest. This enlargement may also cause the deformity of teeth and jaw and may cause the sufferer to choke on his or her own tongue.


The sound heard by a listener when holding a seashell to his ear does not come from the shell itself. It is the echo of the blood pulsing in the listener's own ear.

You may not have notice this little fact, but it is impossible to sneeze and keep one's eyes open at the same time.

Blue eyes are the most sensetive to light, dark brown the least.
