WEEK OF AUGUST 2, 1999

Monday, August 2, 1999
Since this Week was a little "Wacky", (what Week ISN'T) we're gonna have to cut it off by a day. But only this week. Sorry for the inconvience.

Tuesday, August 3, 1999
Here's Tim, wiping down tables, putting chairs up, you know the usual helping out the Cummings family at his job...when all of a sudden a flash of bad hair in the form of Sara storms in, accusing him of every sin in on the beach, but specifically for breaking up her and Casey. And when the helpless yet deserving Tim tries to defend himself, who else but Daddy Hank come to Sara's rescue. What does Dear Daddy do? What else? If the ex-fiancee of one of your daughters (that I can quote was like a son to you) is suddenly accused by the OTHER daughter (who is known to be jealous and whiny and once brought shame into the family by having that Lewinsky-like affair) of breaking up her relationship with the Baywatch Boy (who's now professed his feelings for the FIRST MENTIONED daughter) what else to do? Fire the boy (Tim). Sure. That'll fix everything. But NOOOOOOOO, Sara has to go tell her Daddy to rehire the SpikeyHair boy.

If I here Benjy's syrupy sweet voice one more time I will really throw the remote at the TV. This time I mean it. How many times does this kid have to beg and plead for his parents to stay together. Come on Ben and Maria, get together already so your kid can color!

Cole (who still reigns as the current Mr. Hotstuff, Dimple Boy, and King of Come-Over-Any-Time-of-Day) demands another paternity test once Annie FINALLY gets to talking to SOMEONE (as opposed to herself) and lets it be known that Cole is Trey's real father. And for some sick and twisted reason, AJ tries to calm Cole down and persuades him to wait until tomorrow. TOMORROW? HELLO AJ have you gone NUTS? Are you holding back yet another time when Cole gets a chance to flash those sweet dimples?

And once more I must witness Olivia, who poured one bourbon too many today (so what else is new?) goes ballistic because of the thought that Trey might now be Cole's (another reminder of a scene I do not want to imagine). But one good thing DOES come out of it...No not an Annie/Cole pairing *sigh* (I can dream, can't I?), but close enough: an Annie/Cole alliance. She helps him make a quick getaway with Trey.

Meg tells Casey she can't stop thinking about their kiss (neither can I, cause it keeps flashbacking to it).

Wednesday, August 4, 1999
As Ben kicks the sand around on Sunset Beach, Meg and Casey hug and hug and hug and kiss and kiss and kiss and well...let's just say Meg takes control of the situation before Casey can and decides to stop.

There IS one consequence to that Annie/Cole alliance. I have to see Olivia throw ANOTHER tantrum when she finds out Trey's gone.

Why is it that Carmen can't predict that Ricardo's stroke was brought on from that videotape? That's about the ONLY thing she doesn't get feelings on. Ricardo (aka One Great Moment and then Back in the Hospital) finally gets a little excitement in the storyline after he gains control of his right hand. While Ricardo is moving around, Carmen tells Antonio and Gabi about her fear. And guess what Gabi decides to do?: "Oh I know, I'll stay the night with you!"

I knew Michael's sudden switch to physical therapy paid off! He gets the job as Ricardo's physical therapist.

Cole, Annie, Caitlin, Olivia, and AJ (one big happy family) await in anticipation for Trey's test results.

Thursday, August 5, 1999
Ahh, the only man in medicine on the beach makes an appearance once again. Tyus informs the Richards clan that Cole is indeed Trey's biological father. I AM ELATED! But Caitlin and Olivia are crushed. Ya ya, I really don't want to see these two whine....

Kansas Girl (Meg) tells Baywatch Boy (Casey) that she isn't going to move out of Surf Central after all and tells him they need to set boundaries as friends. And what "friends", may I ask, kiss passionately in the rain and flashback to it over and over again? Meg is another story as well. She goes, she stays, she goes, she stays... Ben, Casey, Ben, Casey....AHHHHH.

Go Ricardo! First the hand control...now he actually talks! It's ok folks, step back. Nothing to panic over. Our brilliant Det. Torres has now uttered the word, "No."

Meanwhile Gabi freaks and tells Antonio she thinks Ricardo knows. Antonio denies it feverantly and passionately (I do wonder, though, doesn't he have other people to be a priest to?) Yeah yeah, and his right hand moves on its own (trying to remove the wedding ring).

Not only does Caitlin have to remember Cole and Olivia's affair, but I DO TOO! It's okay Caitlin, I CAN SYMPATHIZE! You are not alone---in that area.

Thursday, August 5, 1999
Caitlin and Cole sleep together but all she can picture is Cole and HER MOTHER?! Come on Caitlin, you got sweet cheeks (and I really do mean sweet) in bed with you and ALL you can think about is OLIVIA? (No, I will NOT address the hair factor).

Michael reports for his first day of work as Ricardo's physical therapist (see, those random scenes weren't really a quickly put together storyline).

Gabi has a nightmare that Ricardo found about her little fling with Father Antonio. What better happens than Carmen walking in to see Gabi being comforted by Priest Boy himself?

There's some Annie/Olivia squabble. I lost interest after Olivia opened her mouth.

Ricardo finally gets that darn wedding ring off. And what happens? Mr. Abracadabra Physical Therapist Michael picks it up and puts it on the night stand. Carmen comes in an snatches the thing and unwittingly puts Ricardo into more misery (can't you tell, it was just SOOOOO foreboding).

WEEK OF AUGUST 9, 1999

Monday, August 9, 1999
So, Annie tells Livvy she will take $3 million to go away for good. Brit Chick refuses and Annie tries to steal money to go shopping. The cure for all things apparently. But Olivia was expecting this and Annie gets sprayed with red dye...all over her white suit.

The sports tournament starts, but Sean can't seem to tell Emily about he and Amy. There really isn't much excitment there at all.

Tim wants Tess to get the money right away. Maria sees them talking. Have you noticed since she found out she was a mommy she wears more floral prints, rather than her plaid pants and tank tops?

AJ gives Dimples and Caitlin advice about there marriage. Is it just me, or does it seem he hasn't had that successful of a love life to be dispensing advice?

Ricardo tells Gabi that he knows she wishes he was dead. Of course she's shocked. It doesn't even dawn on her to get a doctor quickly because her husband is speaking.

Tuesday, August 10, 1999
So, at the sports tournament some guy suggests that Sean and Amy are more than partners in the competition. So, Sean decks him and is disqualified, but is let back in. It's wsn't all it was cracked up to be.

Olivia tries to call the police on Annie when she breaks into the safe. AJ and Bette stop her and Bette hepls Annie get cleaned up. I love those moments between them.

Antonio comforts Gabi when she hears what Ricardo says. Very nice, especially the Ricardo fantasy stuff.

Big party at the Shock Wave after the sports tournament, where...EVERYBODY'S A WINNER! I told you, nothing there.

Wednesday, August 11, 1999
AJ wants a life with Olivia and Trey and asks for Bette's help. This whole Bette loves AJ thing is a really bad idea. Give Bette someone she can have and stop wasting her.

Ricardo goes home. He has more fantasies about Gabi and Antonio. They will start getting old though.

Annie visits Cole and Caitlin in the hot tub. The hot tubs of Sunset Beach see a lot of action, though it has been discussed before I had to mention it. Annie asks Cole for money.

I like that Brad is actually becoming human. He's a person now and I like that he likes Emily.

Thursday, August 12, 1999
I couldn't see Thursdays, so no review.

Friday, August 13, 1999
Cailtin wants Cole to choose between her and Trey, but feels guilty. Then there's cutie (not Sean, Cole) who tells her that it's okay.

Tess is happy that Maria is staying at Ben's. Sara telsl Meg that it is time to let go of Ben, but they feel suspicious about Tim.

Sean tries to explain to Emily about him sleeping with Amy, but can't.

WEEK OF AUGUST 16, 1999

Monday, August 16, 1999
A.J., Cole and Caitlin freak out when they catch Olivia with Trey. They all suspect she wants to skip town with him. Good, both of you leave so that things will be A LOT easier. We can end the storyline AND that darn Cole/Olivia storyline/flashbacks as well.

The Kansas sisters try and figure out how Tim and Tess are involved. Just add the wicked witch of the west and there you have the Wizard of Oz.

Meanwhile Tess tries to bring Ben and Maria closer.

Tuesday, August 17, 1999
AJ is angry with Olivia for trying to leave town with Trey. And Cole and Caitlin are what? Just chopped liver?

Sean and Amy get close over her broken closet door and a little trinket.

That darn Cole has to go ruin the whole thing with Annie when he decides to spend some time with that Stick Girl named Caitlin. And then ICK! Cole PROPOSES to Caitlin. The corner of my television has a dent in it now after I threw the remote at it (FINALLY).

Wednesday, August 18, 1999
Gabi, playing the part of innocent wife hiding a secret, tries to get Ricardo (who has been bed ridden for practically the whole summer now) to do some exercises. When will she ever learn that HE HATES HER?!

Caitlin adds more initiative for gagging when she accepts Cole's proposal and tries to have what they call CHEMISTRY (key word here folks, is not "chemistry" but "TRIES") with him. And of course, it does not work. Though I have to admit, Cole is looking hoter than ever in that tux.

Back at the hospital, Ricardo tries to speak to Maria.

Thursday, August 19, 1999
Perfect day for a bible study. Antonio is asked by some kid what does "coveting thy neighbor's wife" mean.

Ok ok, I give up. I can take Caitlin and Cole getting married, but WHY does Sean have to remind us about Cole and Olivia's affair, which, I must add, happend over two years ago. There is something about revolting storylines that Sunset just cannot let go of.

Maria is shocked when Ricardo finally gets a line in (after lying in bed for the past month and a half). She realizes that he hates Gabi.

Sean confesses to Cole that he and Amy did the THING. And all of a sudden, Emily decides that it may be the right time to finally shack up with Sean. Where do these people get their ideas? From thin air?

Friday, August 20, 1999
Amy tries to convince Emily that sleeping with Sean would be a big boo boo (yeah and AMY would certainly know).

Gabi and Antonio get a little too sudsy while washing Ricardo's car. At the hospital with Maria and Detective Bedridden Boy, Ricardo realizes that Maria knew their brother's secret (great, first, he's in bed for such a long time and THEN he finds out that EVERY ONE BUT HIM knows about Gabi and Antonio, what are you screaming for ---- MENTAL INSTITUTION?). And later, Gabi FINALLY gets it into her brain that Ricardo hates her. (don't forget, this is your husband, Gabi).

WEEK OF AUGUST 23, 1999

Sorry, nothing was published for this week

WEEK OF AUGUST 30, 1999

Monday, August 30, 1999
So, Ms. Whiney Meg wants to open a store and Sara gets an inheritance of some sort from a dead Aunt. Problem, they decide to buy the same store. Sara gets to it first and they begin to fight.

Annie and Jude are properly introduced and kind of clash.

Amy is upset about Sean and Emily's little Hawaii trip. Brad blackmails Amy into helping him get Emily. Now this upsets me. I was thinking they were going make Brad get Emily honestly. Having him do it this way, if they keep it up, it ruin the relationship for me.

Caitlin has to finagle (lie) her way out of why the woman thought she was Trey's mother. This Caitlin being not able to accept the truth about Trey is boring. I can understand it, but it's boring.

Then Sean tells Cole that he slept with Amy again.

Tuesday, August 31, 1999
Michael and Vanessa make love for the first time in their relationship since they rebuilt it.

Cole tells Sean that Amy will always be a manipulator. WOW! Not only is Cole HOT, but he's wise.

Meg and Sara argue. Meg is a bitch. Yeah, yeah, I know there are tons of Meg fans out there, but the writers are ruining the character. I don't like Maggie DePriest as co-head writer, so if the show gets an extension I think they should change writers, it might help Meg. In any case she was wrong to accuse Sara of taking the store from her.

Caitlin talks to Antonio, but like I said, she's getting boring.

Wednesday, September 1, 1999
Annie talks to her attorney, Paul. Basically she needs some money so she can get Gregory's money. I think she should go into the nightclub business and put the Deep out of business. Annie tries to get Jude on her side (I like him). AJ and Olivia have lunch. He needs to get rid of her, she doesn't pay attention to him enough. Or to anyone else. It's just Trey, Trey, Trey.

Sara is the big person and goes to Meg about putting their differences behind them and go into business together.

Ricardo tells Gabi to tell the truth, which just scares her. But then like he always is lately, he covers it for something else.

Thursday, September 2, 1999
There's a new will of Gregory's and an Uncle Tobias is the executor of it, for Trey. Annie thinks she'll get lots of money now.

Ricardo thinks he should get Michael to help him get revenge on Antonio and Gabi. Antonio gets a new position in the church and everyone is happy.

Amy drops a home pregnancy test out of her purse, which Emily sees.

Friday, September 3, 1999
Biggest thing, Ricardo tells the archbishop that Gabi and Antonio slept together. It troubles the archbishop.

Amy covers by saying that the test is for a friend, but as it's supposed to, Emily doesn't believe it. She tells Sean. Olivia and Cole decide one of them should go find Uncle Tobias. Caitlin thinks her mom doesn't trust her to be alone with Trey.
